“Grimm” finally returned with a new episode this week. We also got some answers to some questions we’ve been pondering, and a new twist. First, Nick can’t do the blood trick to rid Juliette of being a Hexenbeast, thanks to some immunity she has because of Adalind’s blood. I knew they’d have to come up with a way around that.
Nick and Juliette are on the outs because of her being what she is, and she’s now turning to Sean. Oh brother! Not only did she turn to Sean, but Adalind also is trying to convince him to turn on Nick and the others in order to get their baby back. Poor Nick, everyone is turning on him it seems.
The shocker was the reveal that Adalind was pregnant with Nick’s baby. I kinda expected this to come, but it was still an interesting twist. What will the baby be though? Will it be more powerful than the baby Nick’s mom is already hiding? This baby has to be linked to what is going on with Juliette too, as she initially thought she was pregnant. Maybe when the baby is born, Juliette will go back to normal? What about that weird connection between Nick and Adalind earlier in the season. Was that the baby?

So “Glee” aired it’s final episode on Friday. I really enjoyed both it, and this final season. The focus on the main crew, and bringing it home to Lima, made this last season enjoyable. When they took the show to New York and tried to divide it between the new crew and the old crew is where is just fell apart.
I felt like the final episode could have used more Quinn, Puck, Britney and Santana; but I guess the focus was really supposed to be on the original episode core crew. Then again, Sam and Blaine weren’t part of that.
I was not a fan of Rachel ending up with Jessie. I would have rather seen her with someone new, or just going it on her own at the end.
Likewise I would have liked to have seen Sam and Mercedes get it together in the end, though they did hint that would happen as he kept calling her, so she said.
I really enjoyed the final scene with all the New Directions kids from each season showing up. I had forgotten all about Lauren, she was awesome! Ryder and Marnie seemed absent, which honestly isn’t a giant loss.
Final thoughts . . . President Jeb Bush? Really Ryan Murphy, really?
I don’t know if anyone is watching ABC’s “Secrets and Lies,” but I am and sometimes I don’t know why I am. Like “The Slap” on NBC it pretty much drives me nuts. Ben has to be the dumbest guy on earth and constantly does things that work against him. Hey look my flashlight is back in my car, covered with blood, so let me pick it up and touch it! Uh oh, I gotta hide it, let me wrap it and stick it in my living room. Found a new lead on who may have done it, let’s wait awhile before suggesting it to the cops. Hey let’s publicly attack people in this day of social media oversharing. Over and over he does stupid things.
So who did kill Tom? From the very first episode I honestly thought it was the youngest daughter. Something just doesn’t seem right with her. She seems very socially awkward. When all she wanted to do was decorate the tree when the shiznit was going down, I just knew her brain wasn’t functioning correctly. I think she may be a sociopath, and there have been little things here and there that show she seems to flirt with danger, or doesn’t react like a normal person would.
Others feel it was Ben’s wife, while some think Tom’s aunt who was having an affair with his “Father.” Then there is the clear red herring, the special needs kid on the block, though the boys mother Melissa Gilbert does seem to be hiding something. My worst fears are that after sitting through this entire thing that 1) it will turn out to be like “The Killing” and we won’t know who did it by the end of the seasons and they’ll pull off a second season or 2) that Ben really did do it for some reason, and he doesn’t remember as they’ve been hinting.
So I’ve really been enjoying “Once Upon A Time” again. I’m still not sure where the Frozen gang is, as I swore they were unable to get back home because of the boundary around the town. Anyways, on to what’s been happening.
I really enjoyed the backstory between Regina and Maleficent. I was sure they would have King Stefan be the father of the baby she lost, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. The Briar Rose being Aurora’s mother was a nice twist on the whole story. By the end of the show when Maleficent had put Aurora under the curse and said she had big plans for Prince Phillip, I began to suspect that she may seduce him and that he could be her child’s father. However the timeline doesn’t seem to work. Given where Regina is in her learning of magic, Snow and Charming are still children and haven’t met. Actually now that I think about it, a lot of these characters should really be much older than Snow and Charming shouldn’t they? Apparently people don’t age the same way in the enchanted fairytale forest.
I loved that they brought August back, and actually felt that was coming when they claimed the younger Pinocchio didn’t have the answers they needed. I am worried that Regina will get sucked back into being evil as they work to get answers out of him. I really don’t want them to go there. Honestly though with the prophecy about Emma, I am expecting them to actually turn her evil as the season finale cliffhanger.
Why in the hell do they have Maleficent dressing like she’s out of the 1940s?
I’m not sure where “Grey’s Anatomy” is going with its latest storyline, but I don’t think I like it one bit. I felt like the show had been on fire lately, but the predictable ending to Dr. Herman’s storyline sank it for me. She would have been a great add to the show, and it would have been nice if for once they didn’t do the predictable, I.E. kill her or make her unable to work anymore, the latter which they did.
I was really into the possibility of Callie and Owen early on in the season, but warmed up to Hunt and Amelia as of late. They make a great team, but there is something weird about him living in Derek’s old trailer.
I loved the storyline with Ben and his sister, and I hope they continue with it. Ben has always irked me a bit, so I loved Bailey putting him in his place. I love Bailey putting anyone in their place really.
The bonding of Maggie and Meredith has been great as well, but now it looks like Meredith’s life might be shattered with the possibility that Derek has pulled a Derek and is cheating on her. Say it ain’t so! Sadly it probably is, as Shonda loves to torture these two.
A&E: Bates Motel Season 3 Begins Tonight. Plus The Returned.

Tonight A&E heats up with two great dramas tonight! First up is season three of “Bates Motel” and then a remake of the French sensation “The Returned.” I’m not sure if we need another one of these kind of shows, but I’ll tune in nonetheless.
“Bates Motel,” returns for a gripping third season filled with family strife, murder and mystery lead by Vera Farmiga (Norma) and Freddie Highmore (Norman). This season focuses on the evolution of the Bates family and dives head first into Norman’s waning ability to stay in denial about what’s happening to him and the lengths he will go to gain control of his fragile psyche. The dramatic events of last season leaves Norma (Vera Farmiga) reluctantly more aware of Norman’s mental fragility and is fearful of what he is capable of. From executive producers Carlton Cuse (“Lost,” “The Returned”) and Kerry Ehrin (“Friday Night Lights,” “Parenthood”) “Bates Motel” serves as a contemporary prequel to the genre-defining film Psycho and provides viewers with an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates unravels through his teenage years.

So it’s been a few days since the “Once” premier and I’ve been thinking about what all occurred on it. Definitely some interesting developments. Let’s dish!
I was somewhat confused by the whole backstory with Rumple and the Queens of Evil. It seems he got the idea to find the author long before Regina did? Is this why he was later obsessed with the sorcerer’s hat? He, like Regina, thought the sorcerer was the author? It seems both were wrong though, as Blue told Regina that he (or she) was not the author of the book. I hope the author turns out to be someone amazing that we never suspected.
If Maleficent was left for dead in that cavern, and they allude to her still being there, how did she fight Emma as a dragon and do all that other stuff, like trade the curse to Regina? Sometimes I need to remember that this show is from the creators of “Lost” who seem to forget what they’ve written, or hope the audience forgets, or just write stories to confuse their audience.
The idea that Emma is the true dark heart is intriguing. What does this mean? Does it have something to do with whatever deal the Queens and the Charmings made in fairytale forest long ago? I have a feeling baby Emma is very much involved. Don’t tell me there was a baby-switch made!
I have to say I really do like dark Snow much more than boring goody two-shoes Snow.
I was hoping that weird stone demon was Goliath from “Gargoyles.”

So I’m still loving “The Fosters,” but I’m also really getting annoyed with parts of it. Here are some quick thoughts before tonight’s episode . . .
The idea of Brandon and his friends going on tour for the summer is insane to me. How old are these kids? I can’t recall if Brandon is a senior in high school or not, but I know I did not turn 18 until I was in college. What parent would give these kids their okay to tour at that age on their own? It seems obvious that Brandon will end up going to the music camp for the summer instead of doing the tour, unless he lies to his moms and only says he’s going to the camp.
Jesus going away to the private school he was offered a scholarship is a-okay with me. He is the one kid on the show I really don’t care for at all.
I’m glad they went there with Jude and his friend Connor. It’s about time, as they’ve dragged this one out for way too long now. The question remains as to if Jude really is gay, or is he just desperate to hold onto his friend who is actually gay.
While I get Callie wants to help out Daphne, she shouldn’t do so at the expense of her own happiness. Daphne screwed up and now Callie is paying for it. Daphne is too in a way, the scene with her daughter and the daughter’s foster mom was heartbreaking. I felt for Daphne, but not enough for Callie to do what she’s doing for her.
So “The Night Shift” returns tonight on NBC. I watched and really loved this show last year when it was on for a few short weeks. Here is hoping this season will be a bit longer. I also hope they have a good recap at the beginning of the show to remind me what happened so very long ago.
