V: Kill Them All!

V: Kill Them All!

Holy Crapola! What a season finale of “V.” Just like last year, if the show isn’t renewed, we are left with a lot of questions. Diana, Ryan and Tyler all met their makers in the episode.

Lisa wouldn’t go through with the plot to kill her mother, which left an opportunity for Anna open. She took it and killed Diana, who had just returned to speak to her people. It seems Diana WAS of peace and wanted to live in peace with the humans. Anna wouldn’t have that.

Anna had Lisa imprisoned and used her last queen egg, which had been rapidly grown using the hybrid’s DNA, to make a second “crazy” Lisa. This Lisa bred with Tyler, then killed him! All while the real Lisa, now in Diana’s cell, watched.

Finally the hybrid killed Ryan and then helped her mother bliss all of humanity. Other goings on, Hobbs mysteriously disappeared . . . Chad was called to see Anna (who knew he was 5th column) and Erica was taken by her FBI Boss (“Days'” Dr Mike) to met a huge worldwide underground movement against the Vs run by guest star Marc Singer.

So IF the show returns, we at least know Marc Singer will have a part next season. Erica, and now Lisa, really will be out for blood. I don’t think Lisa will falter again if asked to kill her mother, though she did drive a good point home to Erica . . . . she had turned into as much of a monster as Anna had.

V: Dirty Diana!

V: Dirty Diana!

Posted by Dustin on 03.09.2011 at 8:17 pm

So there is only one episode of “V” left for the season, and then we are stuck waiting to see if the show will be back. The ratings haven’t been that spectacular from what I understand, but the show does seem to have a cult following.

So after all this time, when Marcus finally came to Diana, it seemed as if her true colors were revealed. She told Marcus that Anna has always had human emotions, and that’s why she overthrew her, it was her pride coming out. She also mentioned something about their enemies, humans, and the impossibility of stamping out the human soul. Color me confused, I can’t figure out her motives at all anymore. It almost seemed as if she had been playing Lisa all along and hates humans as much as Anna does. The clip was so fast, “V” is no longer online for free, and the recap on ABC doesn’t clarify that part. Grrrr! What was your all’s take?

Anna gained the ability to bliss humans, blissing Tylor to keep him from leaving her and the ship and going back to his mom. Frankly I was rooting for the bliss to backfire and kill Tylor. He annoys me almost as much as Chad Decker, and I find both characters pointless. Given how little time they are given lately, someone at the show must agree too.

Joshua got his memories back and finally remembered he was fifth column. That took long enough! I can’t wait to see him join in with the others and the fight.

Hobbes and Erica had a fling last week and danced around it a bit this week. I still think she’ll end up with Father Jack though. Given the tension between the three of them they sure seem to be setting up a love triangle.

Marcus became suspicious of Anna, who clearly has grown to love Ryan’s hybrid kid. That made him realize Diana was right about her daughter having emotions. I guess V don’t love their offspring at all?

I’m still waiting for the hybrid to unleash some amazing powers like in the original. Next week’s preview have her going after Ryan and protecting Anna.

It definitely looks like Diana gets freed next week and Anna goes down. I however have this feeling that Diana is going to make Anna look like a lamb. I could even see Anna being forced to team up with Erica against her mom next season . . . should there be one.

The Season Finale of V . . . and some Private Practice Spoiler Bits

The Season Finale of V . . . and some Private Practice Spoiler Bits

Posted by Dustin on 02.28.2011 at 6:41 pm

Early march on ABC seems to be a whole lotta reruns! Must be basketball time again (or something). Early to Mid-March really only has new “V” and a new episode of “Private Practice.”

ANNA IS ABOUT TO POWER UP EARTH’S FIRST BLUE ENERGY REACTOR — IS IT GOOD OR BAD FOR HUMANS? — AND DIANA TELLS LISA TO FULFILL HER DESTINY, ON ABC’S “V”

“Devil in a Blue Dress” – Anna is about to pull the switch on the planet’s first Blue Energy reactor, but Sid realizes that the size of the reactor is much too large for just the various Concordia sites – the Fifth Column needs to figure out what Anna is really up to. And Diana tells Lisa she must act against Anna now, fulfill her destiny and save humans from annihilation, on “V,” TUESDAY, MARCH 8 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on ABC.

Guest stars include Jane Badler as Diana, Roark Critchlow as A.D. Paul Kendrick, Mark Hildreth as Joshua, Ona Grauer as Kerry Eltoff, Christopher Shyer as Marcus, Bret Harrison as Dr. Sidney Miller, Martin Cummins as Thomas.

SEASON FINALE – ANNA IS FOCUSED ON LISA BREEDING WITH TYLER FOR THE Vs’ EVOLUTION, WHILE DIANA AND THE FIFTH COLUMN LOOK TO END ANNA’S CONTROL, ON THE SEASON FINALE OF ABC’S “V”

Marc Singer Guest Stars

“Mother’s Day” – Anna is focused on having Lisa breed with Tyler to ensure the evolution of the Visitors, while Erica and Diana enlist Lisa to stage a coup against Anna and remove her from power before humanity is destroyed. Erica and the Fifth Column join Lisa in the attempted coup, which has devastating results, on the shocking Season Two finale of “V,” TUESDAY, MARCH 15 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on ABC. Also in the episode, Marc Singer, who played freedom fighter Mike Donovan on the original “V” series, will guest star as Lars Tremont, a member of a top secret organization of high-ranking military and government leaders from around the globe who have long suspected that the Visitors are very much not here in peace.

Guest stars include Jane Badler as Diana, Marc Singer as Lars Tremont, Roark Critchlow as A.D. Paul Kendrick, Jay Karnes as Chris Bolling, Mark Hildreth as Joshua, Christopher Shyer as Marcus, Martin Cummins as Thomas.

THE OCEANSIDE DOCTORS ARE DIVIDED WHEN AN EXPECTANT COUPLE WISHES TO PUT THEIR ILL-FATED BABY’S EGGS TO FUTURE USE, ON “PRIVATE PRACTICE”

“Private Practice” Airs at a Special Time, 9:00 p.m., ET

“Love and Lies” – The doctors of Oceanside clash when an expectant mother and her husband, desperate to have children, come to them in order to harvest the eggs of their unborn, ill-fated baby; meanwhile, Amelia tries to help a friend who threatens suicide if her tests for Huntington’s Disease are positive, and Fife returns to tell Naomi how he feels about her, on “Private Practice,” THURSDAY, MARCH 17 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

V: Erica Takes Charge!

V: Erica Takes Charge!

Posted by Dustin on 02.16.2011 at 5:01 pm

So I kept meaning to write about last week’s “V,” but the drama this weekend took precedence:) I figured I’d just cover two shows in one post.

By the end of last week’s episode, with Marcus being shot, and the look Anna shot Erica . . . I was convinced she knew Erica had betrayed her. Apparently not! She thought Eli Cohen was the mastermind, though in a way he was.

The column realized Ryan had betrayed them, and in the latest episode he was tortured by them into talking. He told them about his daughter, but still they couldn’t trust or forgive him. Will Ryan ever get on their good side again? I hate that they are doing this story actually.

They brought back Erica’s ex, and the two were reconciling over the fact that Erica never betrayed Joe, that Tylor was his son, that the V’s switched up his DNA . . . Then they went and killed him. Damn you Visitors! I was just starting to hope for them being together again and then this. I was so furious.

However, I still think that Erica might end up with Jack. Jack was booted from the church in this episode for his actions. I’m still thinking that his bishop or whatever is a V, but then never really went anywhere with that. I think it’s what they were planning, until the latest twist with the V higher up near the Pope himself.

I loved Diana and Lisa’s meeting and am so looking forward to these two working together against Anna. Next week’s previews with Lisa standing up to her mom were awesome.

One thing I was baffled by was how Anna used Hobbs at the end to set off a bomb. Hobbs? Is he playing both sides? I missed an episode, so I think I missed something important. I remember at the end of last season Marcus contacted him and it seemed like Marcus was planning his own schemes without Anna knowing.

V for Vatican!

V for Vatican!

Posted by Dustin on 02.02.2011 at 11:28 am

So I will admit, I got a bit bored with the latest “V” and probably missed some things. I still have not gotten used to or even like the Chad Decker character, so when he’s featured too much, I tend to zone out.

I did find it amusing when Anna blackmailed the Catholic church into silencing priests speaking out about the Visitors. However that’s only one church. How will she stop them all?

Tyler trashing Father Jack’s office/church and spray painting “V” in it was interesting, a different twist from the original where “V” was to mean victory and was used against the Visitors.

With Anna being successful and getting the church to throw out priests who provoke violence or speak against her, it looks like Jack is in big trouble. I am getting the feeling they are leading toward making Jack available to be with Erica romantically.

It looks like Erica’s boss at the FBI might be bad, as he’s assigning a new partner to her and it looks like he wants to keep track of her and what she’s really up to.

The final scenes with Diana and the Priest were awesome. I wish they’d use her more. I figured the soul would be their salvation, not their undoing, as Anna thinks. By the time she’s done with Earth, most humans won’t want to help the good Vs.

The previews of next week look interesting as The Fifth Column attempts to assassinate Anna at a public event? It seems like a play on the old show where they tried to reveal the truth about The Visitors live on TV during a press event.
