A couple of spoiler releases for some upcoming shows on NBC. In this bunch . . .

-On “Parenthood,” Christina goes through surgery on the same day as Max’s big speech. Oh no!
-On “Grimm,” this is the post Halloween episode, and it seems Captain Renard’s obsession with Juliette may go to “the next level.”
-On “Revolution,” there is no show this week because of the debates. On the next show, we get a look at Aaron’s back story. This show kinda is becoming “Lost” in a lot of ways . . .
-On ” The New Normal,” two spoiler releases, one for what looks to be a humorous Halloween episode. Bryan plans a “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” themed Halloween!

The New Normal Thoughts . . .

The New Normal Thoughts . . .

So we are now three episodes into “The New Normal,” NBC’s new Tuesday night comedy. If you have by chance been living under a rock and haven’t heard of the show, it’s about two gay guys (Bryan and David) who decide to start a family, and the woman (Goldie) who agrees to be a surrogate to use the money and better her and her daughter’s (Shania) life. Along the way, they all become a family, much to the dismay of the woman’s grandma (Jane), who has a lot to say on such things.

I am really enjoying it, and I absolutely love Ellen Barkin’s character Jane and the nasty insults that come out of her mouth. Obviously I don’t approve of the insults, but they are just so over the top and comical that you have to laugh at them and her! I also love Shania, she is adorable. When she was doing “Grey Gardens” in the second episode it was just hysterical!

I do however worry that they are really racing ahead fast with the storyline. I mean Goldie was pregnant in episode one! Are they going to have this kid by the end of the first season (assuming it doesn’t get canned before then). If so, where do they go from there? I guess it does make sense, but they just seem to be going so fast. I know, I know . . . it’s TV! Or will there be a hiccup along the way? They really emphasized all that could go wrong with a pregnancy in the latest episode. I began to worry that might be foreshadowing that things aren’t going to be so easy.

Parenthood Returns! Plus Other New NBC Shows . . .

Parenthood Returns! Plus Other New NBC Shows . . .

“Parenthood” returns tonight, and thank goodness I heard a commercial for that on the radio or I would not have remembered! I’ve included the spoilers for the first two episodes. Also in here are spoilers from other new NBC shows starting in the fall I plan to give a try – “Revolution” and “The New Normal.” I watch several 1/2 sitcoms, mainly the ABC line up, but don’t really blog about them. The main problem is they usually are stand alone shows, and I find it hard to blog about shows that don’t have some kind of storyline arc. “The New Normal” looks to have this . . . . I hope! Also “Grimm” returns at the end of the month, and “Smash” isn’t back until next year.

Spoilers all below the jump! . . . .
