I Am Not Dead!

I Am Not Dead!

Yes, it has been a long time since I’ve posted to this blog, but like Kane in “Poltergeist 2,” I am not dead! I just have only so many hours in the day, and if I’m not sleeping then I’ve been teaching (increased workload there), working at Soaps.com (increased workload there too) or giving historic tours (which take up my nights). I honestly have been working non-stop for the past 3+ years, and haven’t had a real vacation in 4+ years. So yeah, I ended up neglecting this blog. I am hoping to at least try and get a weekly, or bi-weekly, post this fall on my various TV thoughts. I am also anticipating good things in 2019, which will hopefully make life easier for me. Fingers crossed!

Kane from Poltergeist 2

It doesn’t help that most of the shows, and the types of shows, I watched way back when I started this blog are dead and gone. I am still watching “The Flash” and “Supergirl.” I do my best to keep up with “Legends of Tomorrow.” I never got into “The Arrow,” which ironically started all of these. I can’t wait for “Batwoman” this fall though!

I loved “Riverdale,” but never watched the second season. I was, and am still hoping, to binge watch it in time for this upcoming third season.

I am still watching “Grey’s Anatomy,” though lord it is testing me like interns bothering Dr. Bailey. So is “American Horror Story.” That last “Cult” season was the worst. I have some seriously high hopes for the “Coven/Murder-House” crossover coming up wiht “American Horror Story: Apocolypse.” Don’t F*ck it up Ryan! Oh and I’m counting down to the final season of “Game of Thrones.”

On the reality front, “Big Brother” honestly gets worse every summer, and I stop watching earlier and earlier each year. I did enjoy the celebrity edition though, which a second season is coming. I’m still somewhat watching “Dancing With The Stars” too, and have fallen in lust with “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” How these women can put up with Dorito is beyond me! I’d tell her to pack up her phony accent and go back to England with PeeeeKaaayyy. Erika is one of my favorites, I was sad to see Eileen go, and Lisa Rinna is still killing it. I also still tune into “Project Runway,” which should be back soon. My favorite reality show still remains Bravo’s “Below Deck.” Lord the drama on this is better than on daytime!

A show I really wanted to watch but never did, was the CW’s reboot of “Dynasty.” I heard great things about it, and it too I want to try and binge before the new season. But will school starting around the corner, I don’t know if that will happen. It’s on my DVR to record though!

Anyway, there you have it. I keep trying to get back to this blog, but my nights (and days) have only so many hours.

At long last an update! Supergirl, The Flash, PLL, The Fosters and more

At long last an update! Supergirl, The Flash, PLL, The Fosters and more

American Crime
I’m really loving this show still, and we’ve learned that one of the “attackers” is in the closet, and the boy that was raped may be too, and may have to the party to hook up with the other kid. Still, it seems something went very very wrong. This show has me hooked.

American Horror Story
I actually was okay with the end of “Hotel,” which was one of the best seasons since the original. I hated that Liz Taylor had to die, but at least she and the others got a happy ending. I’m still fuming that they killed Queenie, and since she died there shouldn’t she too have become a ghost?

The Fosters
“The Fosters” is back, and so far I still can do without Jesus on this show. They should have killed him off when they had the chance. Steff has a cancer scare, and Brandon and Callie are back to trying to deny their feelings as Callie was officially adopted. Gag me, I’m over these two! I’m heartbroken for Jude what with Connor determined to go live with his mom.

The Flash
I’m convinced more than ever that Dr Zoom is Barry’s father in the alternate universe. I haven’t seen tonights episode yet. I don’t know how I feel about them bringing in the Wally character, who eventually becomes The Flash as well.

Supergirl
“Supergirl” is probably my favorite show right now, but I don’t know how I feel about the “Glee” reunion they have going on between Marnie and Rider. Blah! I want Kara to realize they guy who has a thing for her at CatCo is who she should be with!

Pretty Little Liars
“PLL” is still interesting, but I don’t know how I feel about the girls being set up as the killer. Is one of them actually the killer? I doubt it. Also when are the creepy texts going to start up? Or are they?

Playing Catch-Up With TV As Usual!

Playing Catch-Up With TV As Usual!

As always I keep falling behind, but I’m finally getting a handle on things. I hope to be posting more often! Until then, here are my collective thoughts on a lot of shows.

“American Horror Story” continues to baffle me. I’m convinced that John is the 10 Commandments Killer, he just doesn’t realize it yet. This is what the Halloween dinner was all about, trying to make him accept who he is. I still am baffled by Lady Gaga’s character, and hope we soon find out who turned her. What was with her weird baby Bartholomew? Gross! John’s wife I could care less about and wish they’d kill her and her awful creepy vampire child off. This week made me feel so bad for poor Liz Taylor though. The Countess is truly horrible, and it looks like everyone is about to turn on her and take her out.

“Gotham” is still keeping my attention, though I cannot figure out Jim and Barbara. We know he has a daughter named Barbara, but I can’t for the life of me understand why he’d want to name his daughter after that nut job? I am looking forward to Galavan being taken down. However this show isn’t doing it for me as much as some other superhero shows are, mainly because there are no real superheroes or villains on it, just normal nasty people.

“Grey’s Anatomy” has continued to surprise me with the Post-Derek storylines. I actually felt sorry for the Doctor that accidentally caused his death over the past few weeks, but Amelia is on my last nerve. She needs to change her attitude and relocate. I am definitely interested in what happened between Owen and the new doc in the past, as Owen seems to be suffering some severe PTSD that has been sparked by this guy.

I still am having a hard time making headway with “Heroes Reborn.” I’ve watched a few more episodes, I just doesn’t seem to be invested in it as I was the original series. I think with so few of the originals back in a large way, it’s hard to care.

I’m almost done with season one of “How To Get Away With Murder,” just in time to catch up with Season 2 as the Winter finale is upon us.

“Nashville” still remains one of my favorite shows to watch. I absolutely cannot believe they killed off Jeff Fordham though. He was a jerk, but he was a great character. Who are we supposed to hate now? Jeff’s gone, Teddy’s in jail, and Lamar is dead. There has to be a villain. I feel that Scarlett’s man is going to go off the deep-end in order to hold onto her and will be the next evil guy on the show.

I am still loving “Once Upon A Time,” and am convinced Emma is not as evil as everyone thinks but has a plan to help them all. Tonight is the two part winter finale, so I guess we will find out. I can’t wait to see Arthur go down, and then there is the Wicked Witch who still needs to be dealt with. If Emma can’t get rid of The Dark One for good then I could the witch becoming the next one.

We seem to be getting closer to the truth on “Scream Queens,” and it appears there may have been two babies born that night long ago, not one. It doesn’t look like Grace is either of the babies. We know Nick Jonas is one of the devil killer’s, and that Grace’s dad’s girlfriend is the ring leader of the two red devils. I think Lea Michelle’s Channel is going to turn out to be the other killer/devil.

“Supergirl” is excellent if you have not checked it out. So far I’m very impressed all around with the stories, the acting, and even the visuals. Excellent show and I hope it keeps it up.

Likewise I’m really enjoying “The Flash” as well still. Having Barry end up paralyzed is an interesting twist, and we still don’t know who Zoom is. At first I thought it may be alternate Barry, but now I think it’s his dad in the alternate universe.
