So “Devious Maids” premiere was last night. I’m still not used to having it on Mondays, and Mondays always seem crowded enough as far as TV goes.

The show opened with Rosie’s wedding and Ethan opening fire. The only person who ended up getting killed was Pablo, and I say good riddance! Genevieve got his kidney and she is all good to go now. Rosie however ended in a 4 month coma that led to a time jump, which has become par for the course on this show.

Michael and Taylor Stappford returned with a mysterious 10 year-oldish daughter named Katie, which they claim they adopted in Guatamala. That’s a lie, and I’m already thinking she is Michael’s real daughter. I’m not sure why they’d lie about that, so there must be a scandal involved with the mother. She seems to hate her father with a passion, and has insane violent tendencies. Naya Rivera (Santana from “Glee”) made her debut as their new maid Blanca, who was shocked to find Taylor cleaning up an insane amount of blood in her living room, presumably something Katie did.

Carmen and Marisol got into a tiff. Marisol’s book became a hit and she made all these snobby rich friends, and Carmen felt she had gotten too good for the rest of them. Marisol felt Carmen had become a mistress to her new lover played by Giles Marini. Carmen broke things off with him when she realized he was just using her it seems, and Marisol realized her new friends weren’t really her kind of people. With Giles becoming a main cast member this season, it seems he will be back.

Ziola hid her pregnancy as long as she could, but finally had to tell her boyfriend Javier. Unfortunately the baby is not his, but Pablo’s, but she didn’t tell him that part. She tried, but she couldn’t. Oh brother! I really like these two together and Zoila is going to blow this!

The Powells’ marriage is back on track, except in the bedroom department. Adrienne can’t get it up, but during a party Evelyn threw he met a dominatrix who briefly tortured him by stepping on his hand when she ordered him to pick up something she dropped. Now he’s all about the torture, though Evelyn thinks it’s gross. He’s gone and found his own “Fifty Shades” club to get turned on at. I love these two as well, so I hope Adrienne doesn’t screw things up with his wife again.

Spence had to turn to soft core porn in order to pay the bills, which didn’t please Rosie. There was no mention of the fact that her husband down in Mexico was found at the end of last season. She still seems to believe he was a cop, but it seems he was involved in the drug trade from what we saw last year.

At the end of the show Evelyn found a severed human leg in her garden. We don’t know who or what or why, but it seems like Katie could be the killer given all the blood in the Stappford house. That and the fact she cut herself on one of Adrienne’s swords at the Powell’s party and seemed to enjoy the idea of blood.

As Zoila and Javier prepare to get married, Genevieve insists that Zoila listens to her advice. Spence goes behind Rosie’s back to try and protect her. Marisol debates making a new hire for one of her pickiest clients. Carmen begins a new job. Blanca starts to suspect her new employer is hiding a lot more than she thought.

SINCE YOU WENT AWAY – June 22
Rosie juggles having Ernesto back in her life. Genevieve makes a heartfelt offer to Zoila. When Jesse makes an unexpected discovery, he seeks out Marisol to help. Carmen finds a clever way to make Sebastien jealous. Michael becomes suspicious of Taylor.

THE TALK OF THE TOWN – June 29
Zoila discovers a secret from Genevieve’s past. Rosie struggles having both Ernesto and Spence in her life. Marisol tries to fight her attraction toward Jesse. Carmen is outsmarted by Adrian. Taylor reaches her breaking point
