Secrets And Lies: Heading into The Finale.

Secrets And Lies: Heading into The Finale.

So there are only three episodes of “Secrets and Lies” left, which includes tonight’s show. The commercials and promos, and even the press release for the final show, claims it is the season finale, not the series finale. This started making me and others worry that ABC might pull an AMC’s “The Killing” and not reveal the killer and drag it out another season. Between that, and some of the filler shows, I grew tired and headed to the internet. What I, and many others, learned was this show is based off a 6 episode Australian show that like NBC’s “The Slap,” was available on Netflix. So I skimmed it to find out the killer. I won’t give that away here, but if you really want to know it will be at the very bottom of this post, below the official releases for the last three shows. Fair warning, it may very well ruin the end of the US show! I was starting to think they were going in another direction, but after the latest episode it’s all falling into place to be the exact same killer.

Even though I spoiled myself, I’m still tuning in for these last few episodes. I want to ride it out in case they have changed the killer. Plus I do enjoy the show, and I really want to see Cornell get what is coming to her. There was no satisfaction there in the Australian version.

I like the show enough that I would tune into a second season, if ABC plans one, I just don’t know how it would work. The official releases below do say the killer will be revealed in the finale episode though. The next season could, theoretically, be about what happens to the them, the trial, and I’m sure they could reveal more twists along the way. The final release gives a hint as to where they may go, which annoys me if it plays out that way.

Anyways, below are the releases/spoilers for the final three episodes. Below that is the Australian reveal, should you be oh so curious.

Catching Up With The Drama In Nashville.

So this is a long overdue post on “Nashville,” which has been on fire lately. I’m loving it, yet want to strangle several of the characters at the same time. Below are my quick thoughts on each major storyline, followed by spoilers for the next several episodes.

I’m loving Deacon and Rayna’s reunion, but hate this storyline with him dying. I keep hoping his mother will change her mind, but something tells me she won’t. She’s either going to have to die herself and will him her liver, or perhaps Maddie is a match as they haven’t tested her. Someone has to save Deacon!

The show really tried to reform Teddy, and I have really started liking him as of late. That’s why I hate seeing him turn into Lamar 2.0 in order to fix the problems he got into with his prostitute girlfriend. I really don’t trust her at all, she’s demanding too much money and seems to be afraid of something or someone bigger than what we know. Teddy is going to end up falling hard and soon.

I’m actually sad to see Sadie head back home to Virginia. I really liked her character, but I didn’t like how they had her and Luke getting a little too close too quickly. That wasn’t a cool thing to do to Rayna at all. I do hope they bring her back at some point though.

Poor Layla can’t get a break when it comes to love, with Jeff screwing her more than one way. I’m totally on her team, and love seeing Jeff down and out. He deserves it! Meanwhile I wish they’d just finally have Will come out of the closet. That storyline has dragged on for too long.

I’m so glad that Juliette finally had her baby, as maybe now she can stop being so over the top crazy. Juliette’s always been a little nutty, but lately it’s been too much. I want to see her back working on her music.

Scarlett and Gunnar are both driving me nuts with their on-again-off-again romance. Figure it out kids!

Spoilers for the next three shows below.
