Once Upon A Time: Back To Storybrooke!

Once Upon A Time: Back To Storybrooke!

So there is ONE episode left this year, and then the wait till January when “Once” returns. The spoilers for this episode are below, along with a crucial part left out that we saw in the previews at the end of this episode.

Much of the show was back story as to how Regina ended up with Henry. Well we already kinda knew how. I wasn’t really sure what the point of this was, other than to maybe drill into the audience that she really did love Henry? She almost immediately learned who Henry really was and what Gold was up to, tried to return Henry to the adoption agency, but couldn’t because she had fallen in love with him. However she remained afraid Emma would eventually come and ruin everything, obsessed with it actually. Dr. Jimminy Cricket told her she needed to forget her fears of Henry’s mother coming back for him, it was a closed adoption, and it would only cause more problems for her as time went on. Taking his advice, she took a forgetful potion . . . which explains why she didn’t see know who Emma was initially. Like I said . . . what was the point of all this? Some of these back stories are starting to irk me at this point, as they seem to be nothing more than time fillers. I’m looking at you Snow and Charming!

In Neverland present, Regina was able to save Henry after Pan tied her, Snow and Emma up to a tree that restrained them based on their regrets. Unfortunately for Pan, Regina has a black heart and pretty much no regrets as to what she’s done. She got free and ripped Henry’s heart out of Pan and returned it to Henry.

Everyone boarded the Jolly Roger to head home. I was somewhat confused as to why David/Charming was going and didn’t seem worried about dying and stuff. Apparently if you blinked you missed the explanation that Gold, released from Pandora’s Box, said he could heal him once they got back to Storybrooke. They also brought some water from Neverland with them to sustain him. I found this online when other people too wondered what was up with David going home.

Regina spelled Henry’s heart so nobody could take it again. Unfortunately Pan showed up to do just that, but not before Gold caught him and sucked him into Pandora’s box. Unfortunately unknown to them, Pan was able to switch his and Henry’s souls. Since he couldn’t take Henry’s heart, he took his body.

Oh brother! Please please please end Pan in the next episode, and for good too! I think the only thing I like that has come out of Neverland has been Tinkerbell. She too is on her way back to Storybrooke. She was given a vial of pixie dust that was found, and for a moment it sparkled in her hand. It’s clearly a sign that she hasn’t lost her magic, just her ability to believe as Regina pointed out.

Spoilers for the next episode below!

THE RESIDENTS OF STORYBROOKE ARE OVERJOYED UPON THE RETURN OF HENRY AND OUR HEROES FROM NEVERLAND – BUT A WELL-HIDDEN PAN IS SECRETLY PLOTTING TO SHAKE UP THE VERY LIVES OF THE TOWNSPEOPLE, ON ABC’S “ONCE UPON A TIME”

“The New Neverland” – The residents of Storybrooke are overjoyed upon the return of Henry and our heroes from Neverland. But unbeknownst to them, a plan is secretly being put into place by a well-hidden Pan that will shake up the very lives of the townspeople. Meanwhile, in the Fairy Tale Land that was, Snow White and Prince Charming’s honeymoon turns out to be anything but romantic when they go in search of a mythical being that could stop Regina cold in her tracks, on “Once Upon a Time,” SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

One thing worth mentioning, in the previews Emma faces off with Pan who tells her that he is in fact Henry. Hopefully that means we won’t have to deal with Pan as Henry for the rest of the season!

  1. I seriously hope they get rid of Pan soon. I also think they could have done a better job with the child actors. The kid who plays Henry has some serious issues now that he has gotten older and I feel like he doesn’t care. Almost like he has grown up and feels like he is too old to be playing in a fairytale world. Having him be the annoying Pan character on top just irks me!

Just going by the spoiler above, I wonder why Snow and Charming are going after something to take down Regina? They all worked together to get Henry back, but it seems like Regina can do no good in their eyes and they must defeat her. So much for being the “good” guys. But if Regina did something, then fine but I feel like it is more of Charming and Snow being holier than thou that will be driving it.

  2. I think it was during the previous episode where Rumple mentioned he could ensure David would survive returning to Storeybrook.

  3. I have some fairly annoying news – the show is not back until March I believe and then will go uninterrupted all the way until May/June.
I am very disappointed by that and I really, really hope that Pan is gone at the end of the mid-season finale. I am over him and this storyline.

  4. What annoyed me was who leaves a kid along after he almost dies?

I agree with Marie about the actor playing Henry but maybe he’s just as annoyed as we are about the writing – his character has gotten the shaft this season. As for the guy who play Pan – I think the actor is excellent and if the material were better he would get proper recognition.

Were the lost boys posing as a gay couple who would have be given Henry to adopt if Regina hadn’t changed her mind? I thought that was kinda cool and creepy.

  5. I think the actor who plays Pan does a great job. I’m hoping the writers can somehow have it explained that Henry’s soul must stay in Pan’s body from now on and keep this actor around instead of the one who plays Henry. The actor who played baby Henry was very cute and played his part well!

  6. I think the “gay” couple were Wendy’s brothers.

  7. They were Wendy’s brothers, and I think they were supposed to be posing as a couple.

What annoyed me about that little twist, was that 1) how did they know Henry was the one, the photo Pan had was of Henry in the present and 2) if they had taken Henry, he wouldn’t have grown up the way he did nor would he be the truest believer lol

  8. Hmmm.. good points Dustin! Maybe baby Henry’s heart would have sufficed? Maybe he was born the truest believer?

  9. Was it ever confirmed that Pan needed the truest believer or was that a line he fed to Henry to fuel his lie? He may have just needed his great grandson.
