ABC October 2013 Spoilers . . .
Posted by Dustin on 10.07.2013 at 1:43 pm
A few more spoilers for some upcoming ABC shows. I am going to try and jump into “Scandal.” I watched last week’s “Season 1 and 2 recap show,” but haven’t seen the season premier yet. I watched about five minutes of “Betrayal” and was bored by it. “Revenge” I haven’t even tried again either. I’m also doing my best to stay into “Agents of SHIELD” but it’s sadly losing me.
On “Once Upon A Time,” Tinkerbell arrives, and has a past with Regina of course.
On “Castle,” a hostage taker will only talk to Richard Castle.
On “Agents of SHIELD,” a mysterious woman with powers emerges.
On “Nashville,” Teddy plans to marry Peggy, who he thinks is pregnant.
On “Once Upon A Time In Wonderland,” Jafar and the Red Queen are at war! (Why is Jafar there?)
On “Grey’s,” Stephanie meets Jackson’s overbearing and overprotective mother. Run girl!
Read on for the full spoilers.

Grey’s Anatomy: Is It Too Late To Get Brooks Back And Give Up Richard?
Posted by Dustin on 10.06.2013 at 7:16 pm
This week’s “Grey’s Anatomy” annoyed me more than the premier I think. Richard was alive, but was not fighting to survive. He was content to waste away and die, rejecting a feeding tube while knowing he was unable to eat on his own without choking on his food. Bailey continued to let him do this, assuming he’d have an “ah ha” moment and snap to. I think there was also an authority issue there, she felt it wasn’t her place to tell him what to do. I think there is also residual guilt over how she last spoke to him before he got electrocuted.
Meredith came in to deal with him, only to find Ross had taken Richard to task and let him put the tube in. He told him it would be easier to have him do it now instead of having to let Meredith or Bailey do it. Richard was still furious though, and told Meredith he had picked her in his will not because he thought of her as family, but because he thought she could make the hard decisions to let him die if need be, something he knew Bailey wouldn’t do. However he was wrong about her. He pretty much just tore her down and went on with his pity party. Can we trade Richard in to get Brooks back? I hate that she basically died for nothing at this point. I hope someone will point that out to him eventually.
Other going-ons, Arizona is trying to get back in Callie’s good graces, but it’s not seeming to work. Apparently she thinks she can fix what she did by putting on a sexy dress? Callie originally agreed to try counseling with her, but later told Arizona that she couldn’t do it just yet. She did however feel that Arizona needed to go by herself, that she needs to fix her problems before they can fix their problems.
Owen and Christina are officially over it seems. Christina told him that they need to try and date other people because it’s too easy for them not to move on. Owen agreed to try. You know the minute she sees him with another woman she’s gunna flip!
Joe and Alex are actually happy and having sex. The best part of this episode was Christina finding out they hadn’t been having sex, and she teased him mercilessly.

The second half of the Beatles tribute episode of “Glee” aired this week. It was prom, and Tina was up for Prom Queen. Mean Santana-Wannabe on the Cheerios wouldn’t have this and wanted Kitty to run, but Kitty promised to support Tina and not run as Tina was graduating this year. She then promised Tina’s nerdy asian friend if she sabotaged Tina, she would be made a Cheerio. As Tina won and took the stage, she was doused with blood “Carrie” style. I don’t know, if the new remake wasn’t coming out, then it would have been okay. However the timing was just too much, it was a “Carrie” overload and I just groaned. I was happy though that Tina won, and that she cleaned herself up and went back out to face the crowd. It’s about time Tina got some attention.
Up in New York, Kurt is now working at the Stardust Cafe (or whatever it’s called) along with Santana and Rachel. Santana is getting serious with her new gal pal (Demi Lovato), but is worried as she’s never been in a real lesbian relationship before. Rachel, Kurt and Santana all promised to stick it out in New York for 2 years (how convenient, the same number of seasons left) and support one another. By the end of the episode Rachel learned she got the part of Fannie in “Funny Girl.”
Like last week, this episode did little for me. I liked that they performed “Sgt. Pepper,” the rest of the songs I could take or leave. Next week is the tribute to Finn’s character, addressing his death. It looks to be very emotional. It will be odd to watch “Glee” without Finn.
The Parenthood Season So Far . . .
Posted by Dustin on 10.04.2013 at 12:47 pm
So far I haven’t been too moved or wowed by “Parenthood” this season, but I am worried rage will soon strike . . . and it won’t be long before I’m yelling at my TV.
Hank moved back to town and got his camera shop back just like that. However he’s not gotten Sarah back. I just find this all so odd, as last we saw Sarah was considering going to Colorado to be with him. Sarah now seems to be the super in Amber’s apartment building. Max meanwhile is Hanks new best friend, as he’s taken up photography and is working with Hank. Actually it’s ,ore like hanging around and pestering him, but their personalities are a good fit for one another.
Ryan was off at war, being called back out of reserves. Now he’s home again and has proposed to Amber, who said yes. The family is happy, though Sarah has her doubts. She fears Amber is making her same mistakes and getting married too young. She’s trying her best to support her and help her plan the wedding. I just wonder how long Sarah can go without saying the wrong thing.
Julia is still a stay-at-home mom, but it seems she wants to go back to work. However the way she left her last job isn’t looking good for her. At the kids school she’s made a male friend who she’s stuck working with on the “Sustainability Task Force.” They basically lecture kids who bring food in bad containers to school, and then sort through the trash to recycle stuff. Maybe the kids should be thought which bins to throw things in? Just a thought. It seems obvious nothing of good is going to come from this relationship though. Julia is acting like a girl with a crush, and he’s married too and seems enchanted by her too.
Christina has decided to run against her former boss Bob Little, who is now running for mayor. She’s hired an assistant who is very gung-ho, in fact the assistant hired herself. Adam however has reservations, he feels this is a no-win campaign and Christina is putting too much stress on herself after her cancer battle. Didn’t we already go through this before? Oh yeah, Max and class president.
Finally Crosby and Jasmine have welcomed their baby. Oh yeah, there was a time jump this season obviously. They ended up naming her Aida. Have they not seen that opera/play? Aida gets buried alive in the end! Please, change the name of your baby for my sanity. We are watching them go through the painful downs of having a new baby. I mean it’s painful . . . I had to fast forward them in the latest episode. I hope they get a better storyline soon.
That’s all I have to say about the first two episodes of “Parenthood.”
I’m Really Trying To Like You Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD
Posted by Dustin on 10.03.2013 at 11:22 am
I’m not giving up on it yet, but I’m not that into it either. This is a shame, as I really wanted to like “Agents of SHIELD.” It helps that there is pretty much nothing on against it, every other network probably knew that whatever was against it would get beaten in the ratings.
I get that this is supposed to be the human side of the story, not focused on the superheroes. However don’t we watch these movies and read the comics for the superheroes? My favorite part so far was when Nick Fury made a cameo at the end of the last episode, and the comment “Have you seen Thor’s body?” to the one guy’s response “Technically Thor isn’t really a God.”
The promos for next week, with the car in the tree and the tagline “their weirdest case yet” just made me worry that this is going to be a knock-off of “Fringe.”
Sleepy Hallow Thoughts So Far . . . .
Posted by Dustin on 10.03.2013 at 11:17 am
So we are three episodes into Fox’s “Sleepy Hallow” so far, and I’m really liking it! I do have issues here and there with it, mainly continuity. For example in the second episode, there just happened to still be unopened boxes of gunpowder from the revolution in a sewer tunnel that clearly had modern renovations to it, such as the grate above with light streaming down onto them? Right!
I really like the story with Abby and her not-so-crazy sister Jennifer. Very interested to see what Jennifer is planning now that she escaped the psych ward.
Where is Katrina’s body? Why do I have a feeling like Ichabod, she may be frozen in time so to speak. The evil witch said she was caught between worlds, which makes me think she’s still alive and will show up right when Ichabod and Abby start getting it on!
I have not actually read a single spoiler for the show, and I’m liking that!
