Under The Dome: The Fourth?
Posted by Dustin on 08.20.2013 at 12:28 pm
So a bit more of the domes mystery was unraveled last night. Angie, with the butterfly tattoo, began having the seizures that her brother and Cassie were having before, complete with saying “Pink Stars Are Falling.” Julia and Cassie thought she could be “the monarch” spoken about, but Joe then said his sister’s tattoo was the wrong color. But there are monarch’s definitely interested in the dome. Could the egg in the mini-dome be some kind of chrysalis?
Angie had the bad luck of having her seizure in front of Jr, who seems to be very sane all of the sudden. He swore the dome was making her sick, and that’s why he locked her up. He then told her that what she said struck a cord with him. He showed her paintings his mom did right before she went crazy and killed herself. The last one was of Jr, standing on a hill, with pink stars falling! So is Jr actually sane? Did the dome make him a little nutty too?
Julia told Barbie about the dome they found, but when she took him to it, it was gone! Later we learned Joe, in a zombie/sleepwalking state dug it up and brought it to his barn. Cassie, Joe and Angie discovered that when they touched the dome together that it was like their hands fit into locks. However a fourth hand was needed, who could it be? My guess is Jr.
Barbie and Jim ended up “disarming” the town, which was mostly voluntary. Jim said it would make people feel safer, and most turned their guns over. However it wasn’t his idea. Enter the mysterious Max! Max got trapped under the dome and laid low. She is not only Jim’s boss with the whole propane stealing scheme, but was apparently Barbie’s mysterious employer as well! The one who sent him to get money from Julia’s now dead husband the doctor. Max also is running a drug ring that Dutch, the Reverend and Big Jim were a part of. Something tells me Julia’s husband had a hand in creating this new drug they call “rapture.” Linda however is onto them, having found the stash of propane and evidence that Dutch was being paid off.
That’s what happened on “Under The Dome” this week.
Devious Maids: A New Suspect Emerges?
Posted by Dustin on 08.19.2013 at 8:11 pm
So this week a new suspect emerged . . . but more on that in a few.
First, Genevieve approached Valentina about the egg donation deal. Valentina saw it as a way to finally pay for Fashion School, which she’s been saving for. However her mother forbid it! Zoila had to tell Genevieve the truth about Remy, she has been so absorbed in her own drama that she didn’t know what was going on with her own son. Genevieve realized Remy needs her now, she can’t think about another kid. Genevieve broke up with the billionaire hubby-to-be and Zoila offered to sell a ring and pay for Valentina’s school. The ring was a gift from Genevieve.
Carmen and Odessa continued to bond over her cancer. However their employer, Alejandro, seemed to take a “how is this going to affect me” attitude. Odessa was very professional about it, always putting him first. Carmen however wouldn’t have it. She told him how devoted Odessa was to him, how she herself took this job because she idolized him, but now she wants to be nothing like him. She then quit! These seemed to make Alejandro have a change of heart. He later visited Odessa in the hospital as she was undergoing Chemo. I’m thinking Odessa is going to die, and leave everything to Carmen. We’ll find out she was insanely wealthy. This will allow Carmen to pursue her dreams.
Rosie and Marisol watched the DVD, which Marisol’s lawyer friend said amounted to nothing. On it Flora is blackmailing Michael over the baby, which is NOT his. Michael’s “client” is the father and she was threatening him through Michael. Michael warned her that she was messing with a very powerful person . . . Marisol needed far more information than just this. Hey, it’s TV after all. Marisol then went looking for more info. Meanwhile Rosie and Spence were found out by Mrs. Powell, who blackmailed them into bringing the baby back to her to. However Spence went to Mr. Powell with this and he took care of his wife, saying she was getting help and closer for their son’s death. In a rare moment, the Powell’s embraced as Evelyn once again begged for him to forgive her. Could this be a turning point for them?
Finally, Marisol went looking for Flora’s family. She found an unhelpful cousin who felt Flora was a disgrace, and a grandmother in a nursing home with Alzheimer’s. Marisol pretended to be Flora to get info out of the grandmother. We learned that it seems a friend of Marisol’s son is the one who knocked her up! My guess is she was blackmailing the kid’s father. I’m thinking it could be Remy? Perhaps Reverend President Camden (man he gets around!) is the real killer? If he were to go to jail, I think this may solve Remy and Genevieve’s money issues as they’d get his money?
True Blood Season 6 Finale Thoughts
Posted by Dustin on 08.19.2013 at 3:15 pm
So last night was the finale episode of Season 6 of “True Blood.” It was also a time jumping episode . . . I hate when they do that!
The first half saw the destruction of Warlow, who went totally crazy and demanded Sookie marry him and that he would turn her. This show really has a thing for just making characters go off the deep end and do 180s. I thought Warlow would stick around. Everyone gathered together to try and save Sookie from him. In the end Grandpa Niall managed to break out of the time-space-vortex that Warlow threw him into earlier in the season. He held Warlow while Jason plunged a stake into his chest. Warlow them melted into a pile of blood goop. As he died, so did the day-walking effects of his blood on the others. This would be tragic for one Eric Northman, who was sunbathing nude in Sweden when the powers went away. He stood up and burst into flames. Is he dead? Well we don’t know. This was one of the cliffhangers we were left with. My guess is it depends on whether the actor returns or not for next season. Pam had gone off looking for him, so she could still find him in time.
We then went six months into the future. Sam’s girlfriend is huge and about to pop, and Sookie is now dating Alcide who finally got a hair cut. What what what? He’s suddenly not so jerky anymore. I think they did this for the fans who have been clamoring for them to be together, before he became an ass that is. Jason is still involved with his vampire mate, who still won’t let him have sex with her. Hep-V has become a huge problem for humans and vampires alike. It’s apparently mutated and has made some vamps infected with it very strong. Sam and others proposed to the town that all humans be tested for the virus, and those that were clean should offer themselves to a vampire to feed them in return for protection. Some members of the community scoffed at this. Sam arranged a meet-n-greet at the newly named Belfluer Bar and Grill that night. Jessica offered her protection to Andy and his remaining daughter as a way to say she was sorry. Andy didn’t want it, but she said he had it nonetheless. Bill was no longer Billith and back to being himself, which meant he was back in love with Sookie. However she was with Alcide. Tara’s mom tried to make peace with Tara and offered herself up as human food to her. Tara was feeding as the show ended. I couldn’t help but worry that her mom knowingly has Hep-V and has condemned her. As the meet-n-greet went on, a gang of super Hep-V infected vamps approached . . .
That’s basically how it ended. No word on Sarah or where she is. No word on whether Eric is alive or dead. I believe we don’t even know where Grandpa Niall went after helping save Sookie. Sookie’s powers also seem to be almost gone, as she couldn’t muster enough light to kill Warlow herself.
After the show a lot of my friends on Facebook were not to happy with the finale. Were you? Leave your thoughts!
Big Brother 15: Let’s Do What The House (Amanda) Wants Again!
Posted by Dustin on 08.18.2013 at 8:53 pm
Aaryn is the new HOH this week. Amanda and McCrae talked about how they don’t know if they trust Aaryn to keep their deal, and Amanda got upset when McCrae made a comment about how she sucks and can’t win even when it’s handed to her. Amanda then broke down into tears and hid behind a garbage can. Meanwhile Spencer and Gina Marie talked about how Amanda will ruin McCrae’s life if he sticks with her in the real world.
Elissa knew that Aaryn as HOH was not good for her game, and probably not Helen’s. Helen however wanted to use her friendship with Aaryn to her advantage. She bolstered Aaryn, telling her not to feel bad for Amanda because she’s upset. Basically she blew smoke up her ass like she does Amanda. Aaryn of course thinks Helen is just a lovely person!
Amanda pulled herself together and decided to target her new victim. She was dead set on getting Helen out of this game. McCrae warned Aaryn about Amanda’s impeding move. Aaryn did want Elissa to go up, but Amanda later talked to her about putting Helen up too and making sure Helen think Elissa is the target.
Aaryn wanted to put Spencer up, she didn’t want Helen’s blood on her hands. Andy was brought in to talk about the plan to get Helen out.
Aaryn got her HOH room. From the feeds, she keeps wondering why her letters from home don’t seem to say much. Amanda ends up jealous of the HOH room, she wants to win, she wants to hear from her parents and get photos.
Helen pushed Elissa to kiss some Aaryn ass, which she didn’t want to do. She thought talking to Aaryn wasn’t even worth her time. She flat out said she doesn’t think Aaryn is not nice, and the people she hangs with aren’t nice. Helen was worried that Elissa could go home this week. They then had a falling out when Elissa seemed to be leaving her to die this week in jury house. Helen ended up in tears.
Helen cried to others about Elissa, and she got people on her side and seemed to turn the tide and vote against Elissa.
The Have-Not competition was held, it was a game played in pitch black where they dug through disgusting barrels for a key to get out of a room they were locked in. In the end GinaMarie, Amanda, Elissa and Helen ended up Have-Nots.
Elissa decided to suck up to Aaryn and kiss ass to try and stay here and stay off the block. She told her that she never once against voted against her while on the block. However then she ended up going onto a tangent about a yoga mat she was lacking and how much it sucked. Aaryn told her that if she goes up, just know she’s not the target.
Helen later talked to Aaryn, she guessed Elissa was going up. Aaryn told her either Elissa or Spencer would go home this week. Helen tried to kiss ass to keep herself off the block, even saying if Elissa and Spencer went up and then she won veto, she wouldn’t save Elissa.
In the end, Aaryn put up Elissa and Helen. Helen is clearly the target of Amanda, and therefore the house.
Veto results after the jump!

Big Brother 15 + Face Off and Project Runway Thoughts . . .
Posted by Dustin on 08.16.2013 at 1:12 pm
I’m at the point where I probably won’t bother watching “Big Brother” until next Thursday, unless word comes that Aaryn actually put on her big girl pants and made a bold move. Otherwise she should have thrown the HOH to Amanda like Amanda wanted (but it was hilarious to see her crying and throwing another pity party after she lost again). Amanda is now running the game, it doesn’t matter who the HOH is if it’s someone she control. Zzzzzzz!Might as well just give the game to Amanda if these idiots don’t take her and McCrae out and soon.
“Face Off” began this week and this season it’s the vets verses the newbies. Some of the vets they brought back I’m glad to see get a second chance, others like Frank I don’t know why they bothered? He ended up in the bottom in the first week again. I’m sure he’ll be gone sooner rather than later. None of the newbies really made an impression on me this week to be honest.
“Project Runway” has been on for a few weeks and it is drama drama drama this season. We’ve got a crazy Russian that walked off, the diva guy who everyone is afraid to speak up around, and the environmental guy that they kept around far too many weeks as far as I’m concerned. I was glad to see two of these three go, and diva guy probably should have gone this week too!
Under The Dome Thoughts . . . + Spoilers!
Posted by Dustin on 08.12.2013 at 11:18 pm
So I ended up buying the book for “Under The Dome.” All 1000 pages . . . I figured by time next summer is here, I should have it read!
Last week saw the demise of Alice, one half of the show’s Lesbian couple. However as she died, a new life came into the world . . . the first dome baby. Why do I have this feeling that baby will rapidly age and become Alice 2.0? Especially since the mom named it after her.
The two kids (I’m still really bad with all their names unless I look at IMDB) found a bizarre small dome within the dome with an egg under it. Last week the girl had a vision of her mom, and then she ended up dying. In this episode the boy took Julia to it, where she had a prophecy the boy told her that “A new monarch would be crowned.” He of course is now worried that he’ll die.
It seems this new monarch would be “Big Jim,” who used Barbie, the Sheriff and others to help him overtake some farmer who controlled the one working well in the town. Now that he has it, he controls everything . . . or at least whether people wanna live or die under the dome.
Given the show has been renewed, I’m just wondering how they will continue this show when every episode is a blood bath? Sure, five unimportant people died in this episode, but it was still five people. Last week Alice died, she was an important character so far. Before that, other important people died too. They better stop killing people!
I do get a “Revolution” vibe from this show, especially after this episode. I begrudgingly watched that show’s whole season, and likely will watch next year too. I just hope “Under The Dome” doesn’t start making me roll my eyes every episode at ludicrous scenarios.
SPOILERS for the next episode below!

Drop Dead Cliffhanger and Devious DVDs
Posted by Dustin on 08.12.2013 at 8:56 pm
So “Drop Dead Diva” left us with a cliffhanger and it doesn’t come back until October 6th! This explains why there were no more spoilers after tonight’s episode. Jane, with some pushing from Stacey, finally realized it was Grayson that she loved and that she should tell him. However she she went to do so, she found him holding hands and kissing Nicole. She of course walked away . . . Elsewhere Kim finally had her baby, Stacey and Owen attempted to get pregnant (via donation and implantation) and Owen and Kim found out that Parker is planning to sell the firm.
So first off, smack my head about this Jane and Grayson crapola! Smack Grayson upside the head just because . . . I mean he’s known this Nicole for what, 2 weeks and suddenly they are discussing whether the other wants kids. Hello, moving a little fast! I was at least relieved she didn’t tell him she was pregnant, as that’s what I thought she was going to say after she asked him about wanting kids. I can’t even wrap my brain around this whole Stacey getting pregnant storyline. Finally, can Parker sell the firm? It is called Harrison-Parker, and he did make Kim a Senior partner when he left . . . WTH? Where is Harrison? I’m sure this was explained in another season and I’m just forgetting. But didn’t Owen buy into the firm when he joined?
Drop Dead Diva returns on October 6th . . . below is a preview.
Over to “Devious Maids,” Rosie managed to eventually get her hands on the hidden DVD that they had been searching for involving Flora and the man she was blackmailing (Michael). That was the major thing that moved the plot forward. She managed to break into the safe and get it out, but so far we haven’t seen her escape the house with it . . . Meanwhile Evelyn is way too consumed with Peri and Spence’s baby, which is how Rosie has been distracting her in order to find the DVD. That is going to eventually end badly. I forsee a kidnapping!
Elsewhere, Carmen and Odessa continued their journey towards being friends. Carmen learned Odessa had cancer. We learned she used to be a ballerina until cancer in her leg resulted in an amputation. It seems the cancer has now returned.
The family Marisol “works” for is trying to get pregnant, but the wife Taylor seems to have problem conceiving and went to a fertility clinic. If her husband did knock Flora up, we know the problem isn’t with him.
Finally Genevieve returned home with a blind 76 year old billionaire who she convinced to marry her. She also convinced him that she was 39 and would have his baby. The truth eventually slipped out, and he was set to leave her. We learned she really did love the guy, and he agreed to stay with her. However they would have a child, through science, and they’d use a surrogate and an egg donor. He had already decided that he wanted to use Valentina . . . Oh hell no! Mama is not gunna allow that, though I bet Valentina will see it as a ticket out of brokesville.
True Blood: Here Lies Teri and Blah Blah Blah
Posted by Dustin on 08.12.2013 at 10:53 am
So I didn’t do a write-up of last week’s “True Blood,” and was planning to do one this week as the promo for it looked far more exciting than last week’s episode. Boy was I wrong! Don’t get me wrong, the parts at the prison were great. However most of the episode was remembering Teri at his funeral, or should I say remembering him before the whole Efreet nonsense which ruined his storyline and character. He’s dead, but will he stay that way? On this show, one can never know. We did see the return of Tara’s mom and the good reverend she married.
Eric stormed the jail, killed the humans and freed the vampires. However it was Bilith who saved all their friends in the room where they would meet the sun. Crazy Sarah Newlin, who hid under dead humans to save herself, was the one who ran to open the roof and fry them all. Sadly only one Newlin died, and it wasn’t Sarah. Eric refused to let Steve feast on Bilith to save himself. As he met the sun, looking up at his crazy ex Sarah, he screamed “I loved you . . . . Jason Stackhouse!” It was pretty funny. He burst into flames, and Jason then went after Sarah. Instead of blowing her brains out . . . he let her go! Stupid mistake. So we’ll see her again for sure.
Bilith ended up drained and three bloody women (three Liliths?) told him it was time for him to end his life on earth and come with them. He apparently did what he had to do, which was save Vampirekind. He did not want to go yet, and Jessica and her new boyfriend saved him by letting them drink some of his blood back from them. They are all daywalkers now . . . but we don’t know how long that will last yet. Is it permanent? The vamps destroyed all the tainted tru blood, and at the end Pam watched as a still heartbroken Eric zoomed off into the sky, apparently leaving her. So Eric has been written out? There have been rumors of his death this season . . . but it appears he’s just up and left.
Next week is the end of the season, and it looks like the Reverend takes up the fight against the sinful daywalking vampires and rallies humans to attack them.
Big Brother Double Elimination Night Is Here!
Posted by Dustin on 08.08.2013 at 10:01 pm
Tonight is the double eviction night, but also the beginning of the jury house.
As we approached the live vote, we saw the house flip flopping on the votes. GinaMarie wanted Candice out, others saw getting Spencer out more important, then Jessie convinced Jude that getting Amanda out might be a good play because she has too much power. Candice also planted the ideas to Helen, with Jessie by her side, that Amanda is who they should get out. Helen claimed she didn’t have the power everyone thought she did. Helen also said Amanda had never wronged her. In reality Helen was afraid with Amanda gone, she’d be the next biggest target . . .
We then went to the houseguests. Julie told them that the jury will be made up of 9 people this summer, bigger than any other jury. This means the person evicted tonight will be the first jury member. She then told them that tonight is a double eviction night! Julie also gave the teaser just because you were on the jury, it doesn’t mean your out of the game . . . Sounds like another “vote back in” deal.
During the speaches, Candice and GinaMarie got nasty and into it with each other, to the point that Julie had to break them up and tell them to settle down!
The vote was held . . .
Everyone voted to evict Candice! Even on the way out, GinaMarie was just nasty to her! Julie talked with Candice about the racial issues in the game as well.
A trivia HOH game was played, where they had to answer questions about events that have happened this summer. In the end Aaryn won HOH!
Before the nominations, Julie revealed the MVP twist is over and only two people would be nominated each week. Aaryn ended up nominating Jessie and Spencer.
The veto comp was held where they had to find objects to finish a puzzle. Aaryn won the veto, which meant the noms would likely not change. However Helen got in her ear and told her to trust her . . . . They bleeped a lot out so we couldn’t hear.
At the veto meeting Aaryn took Jessie off . . . and put Judd up as she knows he’s playing her and everyone has told her this is who they want up, the house has forced her to do this, if she didn’t then they’d send her home next . . .
So basically everyone voted Judd out. Helen and the house told Aaryn she did the right thing. They said he was a schemer and they couldn’t trust him. The next HOH comp would be played later . . . I’ll update when I know more.
More info after the jump about HOH, Noms, Etc . . .

ABC Fams Tuesday Line-Up Thoughts + SPOILERS
Posted by Dustin on 08.07.2013 at 8:55 pm
So we are getting pretty close to the summer finales of both “Twisted” and “Pretty Little Liars”
“Pretty Little Liars” has been fairly slow as of late, but this episode got a bit exciting with the return of Jenna, who seems to be losing her eyesight? I guess the operation failed to work for her. Before we get there, Mona confessed to Wilden’s murder and of course Spencer’s mom took her case . . . she must be the only lawyer in town. This lead Hannah’s mom to get out on bail, paid by the church pastor, but she was confined to her house with an ankle bracelet. Probably not good, A is guaranteed to come after her now that she’s trapped in her house. Spencer’s mom meanwhile realized Mona’s account of what happened with Wilden’s shooting doesn’t match up with the facts, so it doesn’t look like Mona did it either . . .
Paige and Emily broke up, but not before Paige threw her an insane party which Shauna and Jenna showed up at together (what what what?). Jenna ended up being pushed into the water and almost died . . . almost. Emily saved her, and Spencer asked Shauna who they are afraid of, Alison? Shauna said Alison was dead, and it’s CeCe they are afraid of. So is CeCe the blonde who is in the Red Coat? I don’t think so, I think it’s the figure from the later books. I won’t spoil it, though my guess is most people have gotten impatient and turned to google and know exactly who it is. I think Shauna finally did put to rest any speculation about Alison still being alive . . . but HOW is she so sure Alison is dead?
By the end of the episode Red Coat was trespassing into a house and leaving something on a piano for Toby. I’m assuming it’s Toby and Jenna’s old house?
There was a bunch of Aria and her new guy, who seem to be dating now; and Ezra suing for custody of his kid . . . I’m really over that whole love story/triangle/whatever you wanna call it.
What ever happened with Alison’s mom moving back home? We never see her anymore. Nor have we seen anything about that mystery woman in black who was at Wilden’s funeral.
Over on “Twisted” everyone’s secrets finally came out. Karen had confessed to killing Regina, but everyone knew she didn’t do it and only did it to save Danny. We finally found out that Danny was given Regina’s necklace after her murder, someone planted it in his locker so he looked like the killer. When he confessed to Jo and Lacey, they were furious he lied to them and Lacey didn’t trust him at all. Jo pretty much figured it out about Lacey and Danny, and Lacey found out her dad likes dudes. Jo’s dad finally did some police work and learned the necklace looks a lot like some bizarre logo on the Desai house . . . once again everything seems to point to Danny’s supposedly dead dad, who probably isn’t dead at all. By the end of the episode Jo’s friend Rico got a video sent to him from someone who taped Danny and Lacey making out in her room . . . That kid is bad news!
Read on for spoilers for the next few episodes of both shows . . .
