Army Wives Season Finale Spoilers!
It seems to remain to be seen if these are the season finale, or series finale spoilers. Lifetime has not renewed the show officially. Several actors are on twitter and are encouraging fans to write Lifetime to make sure the show is renewed.
September 9th – Onward . . .
The group learns that Fort Marshall is merging with an air force base. Kevin has a medical breakthrough. The troops deploy to Afghanistan. Joan makes a decision about her career. Charlie and Nicole consider adoption.

I think this show is such a wonderful thing. My daughter is married to a soldier and looks forward to this each week.
Please renew the show.
Lifetime told us this was the highest rated show they had ever done.

Lifetime is making a big mistake if they let this show go. I look forward to watching it. If lifetime lets it go we should all boycott watching their channel, like the abc watchers did when they cancelled two of their long time soaps

I have watched Army Wives from the beginning. It is a great show but sad that the show is ending. Lifetime should keep the show but I know that good things do come to an end and sadly this week is the end. I had hoped they would come back and make next year the end as the preview seems to leave everything unanswered.

Please do not cancel this show.. My hubby is a recently retired SGT… He also is a recent Veteran. I enjoy this show so much, it gives me somthing to look forward to each Sunday night.

PLEASE do not end Army Wives, (or Drop Dead Diva), that’s the highlight of my summer. I wish they were both on year round. And by the way, still waiting for the finale of Side Order of Life to be re-run. Back in the VCR day, only recorded one hour, never got to see the last hour, the end of the show.

I am really disappointed how Army Wives ended. What a morbid ending, and not the best of story line. Not really what I had expected or for those who dedicated 6 years to the watching the show that that’s the best they came up with. Didn’t think it was necessary to take out the entire cast!

PLEASE do not cancel, such a great show. And can you please rerun the finale of Side Order of Life? Got reruns of everything else, I missed the final hour of the finale, saw a lot of other posts about that too.

I just watched the Series/Season Finale of “Army Wives” and I am thinking, “What the hell?” I have watched this show since the beginning and feel really cheated at the ending. Is this the answer? Kill nearly everyone? I feel really cheated…and while on this vein, I also watched “Drop Dead Diva” and hated the ending to that one, as well. So does this mean that the real “Jane” is jumping into Owen’s body? …I guess the show is just going to get really stupid. If this is how Lifetime’s writers are handling series, I think I will watch other options in the future.

The writers of this show are SICK. How dare they kill off nearly everyone. Couldn’t they have just been deployed and left it that Army life is what it is.

Wow! What a terrible series finale – I am led to believe that the plane crashed and everyone aboard is dead. What a terrible way to treat loyal viewers! Unless……….this is a season finale and the plane didn’t crash! We can only hope.

I have really enjoyed Army Wives; it’s a great show. Tonights episode was a cliff hanger that left questions unanswered questions. When Roxie & Trevor packed up the minivan and were driving through the base, Roxie was reliving memories with Claudia Joy, Denise Sherwood, and finally Pamela. That tells me if the show is renewed, Sally Pressman and Drew Fuller might not be back for season 7 or if they are maybe in a spinoff — who knows! The last scene was not knowing if the plane carrying Joan, Col Sherwood and everyone else who deployed for Afghanistan actually crashed. The final scene was General Holden answering the phone saying oh my god! When? That leaves an unopened question. You don’t end a series with unanswered questions. Change is coming but to what degree! I hope the show is renewed for another season just to have questions answered; I don’t like having unanswered questions in a series finale!

Ugh! It really does just need to end to be honest. There are no more story plots to go through since it would all be repetitive. Kinda cracks me up a little how everyone has a reaction as if the world is ending if this show ends lol But honestly, what more can they write about?

This can’t be the end! I hope that this show is not cancelled because it gives a glimpse at army life at a time when such a small percentage of the public actually are in the service.

WTF after 6 years of watching this series this is what you give us to end. Come on now bring the show back for one last season. There is so much more to show. After all the real military lasts for 20 years. Please come back and show us that the plane did not crash and the phone call was about the base merge got cancelled. You really can’t do this to us. If you do then I will think twice about watching shows on your network. Why should we invest in your network if your not willing to invest in us the viewers.

I don’t think it was the series finale..at least I hope not. If it was, they ended it terribly but remember in the season 6 trailer, it said ONE wife wouldn’t weather the storm? Well, I think either something happened to Claudia Joy, or the plane did indeed crash, killing Joan.

has the show cancelled? i can’t imagine the whole cast of army characters being killed off in a plane crash – my thoughts – if the show renews, Holden will have gotten bad news about Claudia Joy, and there will be heroes that come out of the pending plane crash.

I just happened to watch a M*A*S*H remembered show right before the series finale of Army Wives. NO comparison in farewell episodes! I’ve read comments from so many people connected to the military who really love this show (along with the rest of us civilians). What a horrible ending. It’s as if the writers gave up. With the bases merging there could have been so many more avenues for story lines and character introductions. Note to Powers That Be……bad decision!

After being told what programs were ending this season — I can’t believe that Army Wives ended the way it did especially for all the devotes fans that have followed this show. I was extremely disappointed. It is almost as bad as watching the season of Dallas and finding out at the end that the whole season was a dream!!!! For also being a veteran — it was a disappointment to see that life does go on — and it just wasn’t addressed appropriately for all to see. The writers were wrong in ending the program, they way they did.

This is a great show; one of the best on TV. It is very meaningful to active duty military personnel and their families as well as retired peronnel, and people who live in military towns. This show also gives people who are not associated with or live near a military installation, the opportunity to see what sacrifices are made by these citizens to ensure the freedom of the rest of the country. Please don’t cancel this show!

I do think it might be Claudia Joy bad news. She hasn’t been on, I thought becasue Kim Delaney had issues, but she is on a new show. So, maybe the kidney failed and she will not be back.
No netowrk usually ends a series with SO many unanswered questions or so tragic, assuming the plane crashed.

How could they end the 6th season this way, with such a cliffhanger, there are at least 3 stories that were not finished, does Claudia Joy come back to the base to be with Michael, does Kevin end up walking again, so he can be with his troops. Does the plane carrying the troops really crash, do they survive, it had 4 major characters aboard Frank, Joan, Nicole & Hector, they can’t just kill them off like that. What type of job does Gloria do with the Hump Bar for Roxy, Does charlie end up having a happy life with Nicole, raising Penny’s baby ?, every other year they had a cliffhanger, they returned with another season.

Please Lifetime let this show continue – it’s actually one show that everyone I know watches faithfully. It’s not a reality tv series it’s real life portrayed with awesome actors. Please let there be many more years of this show.

I’ve watched since the beginning. I believe LIFETime is making a serious mistake by ending the series. It shares the issues that face military personnel daily. . .those of us who are not familiar with the military life and what families endure, this program has been an eye-opener. . .The individual characters have “grown on me” and ending the show will be like losing a dear friend.
Please keep the show — return it and give the program another chance. . we’ll try to get a larger audience by inviting friends, family and neighbors to watch.
Please return Army Wives next cycle. . .many Americans will be happy.

I agree with all of the other comments. Not the best way to end a series by killing all of them. They didn’t deserve to go out this way.
Please bring it back for one more season to make a better finale.

There is so much garbage on TV right now. I just cannot understand why a quality show with such good actors, and characters that one can really care about cannot be sustained. I am just sick of the “reality” TV shows offered. This was a show so many people looked forward to watching. I will agree with so many others that the ending of the show, if it was indeed the series finale, was unfair to loyal viewers.

I can’t believe lifetime would leave us like this, this cliffhanger has us to the edge and I about to go crazy! Do we know if everyone on the plane died. What about Roxie’s Family? What about the other families left behind? Please don’t leave us like this… PLEASE bring Army Wives back, I like a good nail bitter. It had me crying and wanting more. I love Army Wives! I was not happy on how it ended. So many questions left unanswered! I thought it was the show finale but ended up being a season finale? Really! If you are going to end it, try to end it on a happy note. Bring all the original cast back and make it good. I don’t know. I would love to see it be renewed but maybe it has run its course. I will still watch it if it renewed.

Watch out for the nasty curve ball by the writers of the show. In the scene leading up to the phone call we saw the cast buckling up on the plane and heard the pilot ask the controller for an escape route from the weather. What didn’t we see? Here comes the curve ball. The Leblancs seemingly innocent departure of the base driving to his new assignment.In real life in 2011, car accidents were the 2nd leading cause of non combat fatalities in the military behind suicide. I’m not saying this is what happened because I don’t know, it’s just a guess about a TV show. But it is a pretty educated guess.

I’ve watched this show from the beginning and used to really enjoy it. This whole season has been a mess. Jumping from one story line to another..miraculously jumping ahead several months between episodes. It’s been a big disappointment, but I watched anyway. Then to end it, seeming to say that the whole First Brigade is dead?? Really?? So disappointed!!!! Worst ending ever!
