First up, TNT has already renewed “Dallas” for a second season!

In the latest episode of “Dalla” Bobby planned to throw the last BBQ at Southfork before the transfer to the Del Sol Conservancy . . or so he thinks! I still have a problem with this plan, as everyone involved should end up in jail for fraud.

We learned what Rebecca and her “brother” Tommy are after, Christopher’s patent. I’m still not convinced they are siblings. I also have a hard time figuring out how he can pass off that patent as his own. How will he explain how he invented it, let alone the science and mechanics behind it? I know, I’m asking too many real world questions about a night time soap opera!

Christopher and Elena solved their issues with extracting the gas safely, but then Christopher cut her a huge check and gave her the boot. He claimed it was to protect himself and his company, so that 10 years down the line she didn’t sue for a piece of it. Really though he was trying to push her away. He seemingly made his choice and decided to stay with Rebecca, but knew he had to really hurt Elena to get her out of his life.

John Ross blackmailed Rebecca with the incriminating email. He wanted her to get photos of the family’s lawyer’s kid doing drugs. It would be his third strike, and they could use it to keep the lawyer from extorting them any further. However she couldn’t do it to the guy, who had been clean for awhile and was recently engaged. Marta stepped in and did what needed to be done.

Elena went back to John Ross and resumed their partnership, saying their relationship may come in time . . . Meanwhile J.R. used photos of them together to piss off Marta, who we learned was bi-polar and has a history of boyfriend issues. He convinced her to make a new deal with him. J.R. used the photos of the lawyer’s kid not only to blackmail him, but to cut John Ross out of the deal all together. Woah baby, this won’t sit well with John Ross when he finds out!

At the family BBQ Rebecca takes Chris aside to tell him something, the truth perhaps? I actually suspect she did not send that email to Christopher. When John Ross confronted her with it, she actually looked shocked and said she didn’t do it. I am wondering if her brother did it without her knowing? Or has someone like J.R. given John Ross just more fake evidence and he doesn’t know it?
