NEW YORK CITY – May 13, 2012 – NBC announced today an ambitious new primetime lineup for the 2012-13 primetime season that combines one of the top-quality returning lineups on television with a new fall edition of the red-hot musical competition “The Voice” and a crop of six new scripted series in the fall and four at mid-season.

Army Wives: Enter David’s Dad!

Army Wives: Enter David’s Dad!

Posted by Dustin on 05.11.2012 at 1:00 pm

So yeah, it’s been almost a week since “Army Wives.” My bad! I’m playing catch up as I have real paying work due in this week 🙂

On the last episode General Holden was charged with leading the investigation into General Clarke and the divisions handling of the African orphan situation. The story has blown up big time, with citizens protesting the army was baby killers. Even Frank, Trevor and Hector commented (mainly off the record) that they felt they should have done more, but they had their orders. In the end, Kevin was found of no wrong doing, that in all situations there are casualties on all fronts that can’t be avoided all the time. However we know that this will just wreck chances of Kevin’s third star.

As Kevin became more and more irate over the orphan incedent, he took it out on Jackie, who was planning a big fund raiser. Between Kevin’s mood, and cancelations by people who didn’t want to be seen on the base with all the pickets, Jackie popped a ton of pills and drank even more booze. Claudia Joy returned to the base just in time to organize the girls into getting Jackie out of there and making excuses for her. By the end of the show Kevin, thinking she was just ill, called to apologize for how he’s been acting and to tell her how great he is. She earlier laid into him saying it would be nice to know she played an important part in his career.

For me this was all too neatly wrapped up. It was as if, oh Jackie dumped her pills and is over her addiction. Oh Kevin was just an ass because he was stressed out. Now everything is back to normal . . . until their daughter we never heard of shows up.

Finally a man showed up to see Roland claiming to be David’s dad. Roland thought he was a con artist, or if for real, simply wanted money to go away. However a court ordered DNA test proved he was David’s father. Claudia Joy also did digging to find out why he had been MIA. He claimed he was on a job, he just got back into town and found out his old ex had a baby, which went into the foster system after she and the grandmother died. Claudia Joy found out he had really been in prison, for a number of things from drugs to robbery. She felt he had no chance of getting David, but visitation rights might be a possibility.

Really? I think the court would have taken into the mother and grandmother’s wishes not to have this man in David’s life. His criminal record should also factor it. Yes, people can change. That is what prison is supposed to be about. However it just seems like so many real world issues were over looked here. Why didn’t the foster system tell Roland and Joan about this? They had to have known. I mean it seemed very easy for this man to find out from friends in town what happened to David, so how did the system not know? This story just pissed me off, and I have a feeling it will end badly for Joan and Roland.

Is This The End For Mercedes and Quinn on Glee?

Is This The End For Mercedes and Quinn on Glee?

Posted by Dustin on 05.10.2012 at 7:30 pm

Both Dianna Agron (Quinn) and Amber Riley (Mercedes) have taken to twitter recently after the season wrapped to say they don’t know if they will be back next year. So far only certain cast members (Quinn, Santana, Kurt and Rachel) have been confirmed for some kind of return. It looks like Puck might also be back as a fifth year senior.

Dianna wrote @DiannaAgron “I don’t know all that is to come, but I know what a day like this means. Four years of love, light & support. To the cast, crew & creators.”

Meanwhile Amber wrote @MsAmberPRiley “That’s a wrap on Amber Riley! Just closed a chapter in my life, the only thing I’ve known day in and day out for three years. I’m going to miss the whole Glee family, seeing them everyday! I have so many brothers and sisters now 🙂 But I am looking forward to a much needed and deserved summer vacation! SCHOOL’S OUT Glee Kids! Let’s play!”

Amber later added “Stay tuned to see what’s next for Mercedes ;).”

I really hope even if they leave the show, they’ll have cameos from time to time.

Going Into Grey’s Finale . . . Who Stays and Who Goes?

Going Into Grey’s Finale . . . Who Stays and Who Goes?

Posted by Dustin on 05.10.2012 at 8:57 am

Last night Deadline.com was the first to report that all the major original players have signed new 2 year contracts. So basically Derek, Meredith, Christina, Alex, Bailey and The Chief aren’t going anywhere.

Who does that leave to die? It’s been hinted that the death is a beloved, original character. So I’m sticking to my prediction that it’s going to be Adele.

Tara’s True Blood Fate Revealed? SPOILERS!

Tara’s True Blood Fate Revealed? SPOILERS!

Posted by Dustin on 05.08.2012 at 9:14 am

SPOILER ALERT!

It looks like images, as well as very short snipits of synopses, from the first few episodes of “True Blood” have leaked around the web. The images are official and of the cast shots of vampire authority, who play a large part in this season. The synopses are WAY shorter than the huge paragraphs descriptions from the past. I normally hate reading them, because this is one show I look forward to every summer when little else is on, so I don’t like spoiling myself. But I just had to know the fate of Tara!

STOP READING NOW IF YOU DON’T WANT SPOILERS . . . SERIOUSLY!

The Client List Renewed . . . As Well As Army Wives?

The Client List Renewed . . . As Well As Army Wives?

Posted by Dustin on 05.08.2012 at 9:04 am

Yesterday the news broke that Lifetime had renewed its freshman drama “The Client List” staring Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Nothing was stated about “Army Wives,” so a curious fan asked Brian McNamara (Gen Holden) on Twitter. Brian replied that season 7 looks to be a go! His official response to the fan was . . . “at least 10 more eps for season 7” via @TwoGems57

So it’s a much shorter season so far (which this one has been as well), but it looks like Army Wives Season 7 is a go!

Once Upon A Time: Heading Into The Season Finale!

Once Upon A Time: Heading Into The Season Finale!

Posted by Dustin on 05.07.2012 at 3:37 pm

So last night on “Once Upon A Time” it seems they set up the big shocking death they’ve been teasing about, especially with the previews of what is to come.

In Fairytale land Snow, Granny, Red, the dwarves and the fairies launched an attack to save Charming. Charming/James was to be killed by the king, but Regina swooped in to make a deal for him. She paid the king all the gold Midas owed him and planned a much worse revenge for James than lopping off his head. She then spirited Charming away to trick snow into attacking the castle (which Snow knew was a trap already). She made a deal with Snow to take a bite of the apple and sleep forever, which would hurt Charming more than actually killing her. In exchange she’d let Charming go. Snow agreed, bit the apple, and now we know how she wound up asleep.

So it seems like there really was nothing more to her hatred of Snow. It was simply the whole thing over Snow telling her mother about the stable boy, and him getting killed. I am disappointed, as really she should be blaming her mother and not a little child.

In the real world, Regina had had it with Emma and wanted her dead, as the curse was unraveling. Her apple tree is dying, and it was only a matter of time before people started to remember who they were. Gold warned her that wouldn’t be a good thing for her. He also told her that she couldn’t kill Emma, that would break the curse. Regina realized Gold wanted the curse broken, but she didn’t know why. Regina knew another way to get rid of Emma without breaking the curse. She used the Hatter to try and go back to the other world to get something to help her. She had his real hat, which had magic. She had a few trinkets of magic left hidden away, and she promised to give the Hatter and his daughter new lives together and new memories. However what little magic remaining that she had brought into this world wasn’t enough. They used it all up, and all they could do was reach through the hat and get something, and Regina knew what she needed. She retrieved the apple that Snow dropped after biting into it.

Elsewhere, Henry convinced Emma to stay in town, and Mary Margaret was furious with Emma for trying to flee with Henry. She said it would have solved nothing. After talking to Archie, Emma felt certain that Regina would never harm Henry, but this curse thing of Henry’s was getting out of control. Emma realized she had to leave Henry behind because it’s what was best for him, it would help him move on.

Meanwhile Henry tried to get August to talk to Emma, but he said he tried. August is turning more and more into wood, which he showed Henry. He claimed it was because he had been a bad boy and not done as he was supposed to, this was his punishment. Henry thought if Emma saw this . . . but again August said he tried and she doesn’t see it because she doesn’t believe it.

So I’m still having trouble with this! It seems like the only magic in this world is the few things Regina had brought with her. I’m assuming the huntsman’s heart was one of them, which is how she killed him when she felt he betrayed her. So why is August turning back to wood? I think the writers don’t want us to think about this.

Regina baked an apple tart she planned to serve to Emma. Emma however surprised Regina by not only showing up to see her, but by claiming she was leaving town as it is what is best for Henry. However she wanted to be able to visit her. Regina agreed, only because she sent her on her way with the tart . . . a little something to eat on the road. Before she could leave, Henry came over. She was saying goodbye, but he was still trying to get her to believe in the curse. When he learned about the tart, and that it was an apple tart, he told her she couldn’t eat it. He did the only thing he knew to do in order to get Emma to believe him. Henry ate the tart, and then collapsed!

I had issues with this as well. Why would Emma take home made food from the woman who hates her? Yeah, no!
