Desperate Housewives: In Deep Debt!
So the latest episode delivered a few surprises, well one, I didn’t see coming.
Lynette continued to feel jealous of Tom’s new girlfriend, and tried to sabotage Penny’s relationship with her. In the end, she realized she was only hurting her family. It’s seeming like the show really isn’t going to give Tom and Lynette a happy ever after. I hope if that is the case, Lynette at least gets to meet someone amazing.
Gabby and Carlos worried about who would take care of the girls should all the “girls” and Carlos end up in jail. They decided on Bob and Lee, but first had to prove their kids weren’t little demons. Of course everything was going great, until the very end when Juanita blew it. As it turned out, she was worried Carlos was dying because of the way her parents had been acting. I do wonder if we will ever see Gabby and Carlos’ biological child again before the show is out? It seems as we are supposed to have just forgotten all about that storyline.
Bree was stunned to learn that it was Ben and his men who dug up the body in the woods. They “discovered it” while doing soil sampling tests. I don’t know what kind of sampling they were doing to realize there was a body in the ground though. Usually you take a very small amount out . . . but whatever! Bree confessed somewhat to Ben, that this was a very bad man who was killed to protect someone, and she and her friends helped cover it up. She begged Ben to make it go away, which would be easy for him as it wouldn’t turn his project into a crime scene and delay things, let alone cause bad publicity. When he later saw Chuck harassing Bree about Alejandro (who he remembered was outside a party she threw one night), Ben stepped in to stop Chuck. Ben promised Bree the problem would go away, but she’d never know when he might need a favor from her . . . . In the end, Mike was the one to dispose of the body for Ben, and they put it in a house foundation. I feel bad for the owners of that house!
So yet again, I feel like there is more of a connection between Ben and Bree than Renee and Ben. Though his veiled threat doesn’t inspire romance. However Chuck was just the worst. How could he have gone from what seemed to be a nice guy, to such a nut. When he learns the truth, he’s going to be a really big problem. The girls may need another grave.
Predictably it looks like Susan’s big mouth will be the one that rats the girls out. Andre her art teacher continued to hate her work, until she tapped into the dark place in her and made a painting showing her and the girls burying the body. That one, he loved.
