Big Brother 13 Premiers! Duos Revealed!

Big Brother 13 Premiers! Duos Revealed!

Posted by Dustin on 07.07.2011 at 8:46 pm

If you are on the West Coast . . . beware this post has spoilers!

ChenBot introduced us, as usual, revealing the dynamic duo twist that would change everything. Then the narrator explained how the game is played, yada yada.

ChenBot basically talked about how Dynamic Duos have always ruled the game, and this season they’ll rule like no other. She revealed we would meet the first 8 contestants, and all would be forced to pair up and play the game together, not as individuals. She also revealed 3 pairs of past house guests were coming back.

We then met all the new 8 guests, saw them get their keys, and their excitement. Off the bat, Keith and his “angels” plan annoyed the crap out of me.

Julie sent the first four into the house and choose their bed. As they went in, someone smartly noted there were only 8 of them.

Lawon is literally a male version of Rachel. He might have to go and soon, because I can’t listen to him all summer!

All 8 figured there was a twist, there were more to come. They then introduced themselves, most lying as to what they really do so as to not fall victim to various prejudices.

The first twist was revealed, and the first 8 were forced to pick partners and play the game as pairs. They got to pick their own pairs. If any person wins HOH, both of the team are safe. However instead of nominating two separate house guests . . . . they nominate a duo who have to campaign against each other to stay!

The first four pairs are . . . .
Keith and Porsche
Shelly and Cassie
Dominic and Adam
Kalia and Lawon (who got stuck with one another, much to Kalia’s dismay)

Julie Chen then revealed the next twist, they weren’t the only pairs playing the game. The new guests realized it had to be old guests returning, and they all swore to stick together against the others.

The doorbell rang, and in walked the first duo

BRENDON and RACHEL! Who are engaged.

The doorbell rang again and in walked . . . .

JEFF and JORDAN! They are still together with one another. Jordan said they’d been together a year and a half . . . Jeff had to point out they met 2 years ago here . . .

Finally we learned who the third pair were . . . .

DICK and DANIELLE! Danielle now has black hair.

We also learned that Dick and Danielle haven’t spoken in three years!

BTW I removed Dick from the sites banned words 🙂

Julie Chen then revealed there was still one more twist to come.

The first HOH game was played. Jeff was fearful the past house guests were targets, and hoped a returning guest won.

The HOH game involved everyone having to hold onto a large banana (in teams) which of course swung around and stuff. It was the usual endurance challenge. What goes well with bananas? Chocolate and whip cream, which is what was sprayed on them.

The first HOH of the Season ended up being . . . . . Rachel! She promised the remaining two, Dick and Danielle, they’d be safe.

Rachel and Brendon are safe . . . and if she keeps her word so are Dick and Danielle!

Another twist however remains, as teased by Julie . . . .

Julie then revealed that being nominated for eviction is a blessing and a curse. The house guests who survives eviction will get “The Big Brother Golden Key.” It guarantees you a spot in the top ten! Anyone who survives eviction for the first 4 weeks gets immunity from eviction, but also will not participate in competitions.

How the veto will work was not explained. We can guess if one person wins veto, they save both?

Chord Overstreet Leaving Glee?

Chord Overstreet Leaving Glee?

Posted by Dustin on 07.07.2011 at 4:23 pm

Last week reports began swirling that Chord Overstreet (Sam) was leaving “Glee,” while Darren Criss (Blaine) and Harry Shum Jr. (Mike Chang) were upgraded to full cast members.

Fox hasn’t issued a statement on the matter.

On The Red Carpet now seems to indicate that Chord’s option to be a regular wasn’t picked up, and the actor is still welcomed on the show in his recurring role.

Jason Ritter Returns To The Hood!

Jason Ritter Returns To The Hood!

Ausiello over at TVLine just reported that Jason Ritter will return to “Parenthood” for season 3 for a multiple-arc guest spot.

“Parenthood,” it was just announced by NBC, will be returning on September 13th.

Don’t get too attached to Jason, aka Lauren Graham’s love interest from season 1, as there is word that NBC and the “Parenthood” execs are trying to build a new show for the star.

The Big Brother Duo’s Revealed?

The Big Brother Duo’s Revealed?

Posted by Dustin on 07.05.2011 at 4:27 pm

Uh oh, someone at CBS must be in trouble, as it appears the returning “Big Brother Duos” have been leaked. The leak was further confirmed on Twitter by Crystal Eiserman, who apparently has been heavily involved in the Vegas Cast After-parties in seasons past.

@CrystalEiserman “Since it has leaked, I guess I can confirm that Jeff and Jordan, Dick and Dani and Brenchel are the Duos! #rootingfor @daniD0NAT0!!”

This could be the most epic, or most horrific, season of “Big Brother” to date. I have not yet purchased the feeds, and really don’t know if I will. I may just stick with “Showtime After Dark” this summer.

I feel like if they wanted to bring back past guests, why not just do another “All Stars” show?

Falling Skies Thoughts

Falling Skies Thoughts

Posted by Dustin on 07.04.2011 at 2:33 pm

Anyone still watching “Falling Skies?” on TNT? I am, and paid closer attention this week than last week – color me shock to learn that the one young girl was kidnapped by the skidders!

I enjoyed last night’s show. I felt the plot is moving, just very slowly. We know the skidders are using kids because it’s psychological warfare, humans are less likely to shoot at the kids shooting at them.

The Skidders also can communicate, with the kids they’ve braced and through static frequencies that can be picked up over short wave radios.

I would like to get more answers on why they’ve invaded. What it is they want? With the communication breakthroughs in this episode, hopefully we’ll find out.

Also Pope has quickly become my favorite character, even if we are supposed to not trust him and despise him given his introduction on the show.
