Big Brother 13: The second houseguest sent packing!

Shelly and Cassie found themselves on the blocked, which they both hated as they had become good friends. Cassie knew she probably didn’t have the votes to stay over Shelly, and she didn’t want to campaign against her.

Jordan didn’t want to put them up, but let her alliance (IE Rachel) convince her to do so. Jordan was in tears after the nominations, and Jeff was comforting her.

Shelly was feeling her own bit of guilt as she sided with the vets in week one and voted against Keith. She felt like she was letting her daughter down, she was watching her mom on TV and lying.

Cassie confronted Rachel as to why she is against her. Rachel claimed that she heard Cassie has been talking about wanting her, Brendon, Jeff and Jordan all gone. Cassie says she’s one of the most honest people in the house, but Rachel things she’s an awful game player. Cassie told Rachel she is just caddy, ugly inside, now she gets why people treated her the way they did on her season! Rachel of course stormed off and cried and had a fit. She went and cried to Jordan about how mean Cassie is to her. Jordan told Rachel that she may not see it, but sometimes she comes across as bitchy. Danielle joined them, as Jordan continued to warn her that her mouth is going to get targets on all of them. Brendon showed up and told Rachel to just stay away from Cassie from now on, it’s not worth getting worked up. Of course Brendon didn’t take his own advice, and went and got into a fight with her!

We finally went to the couch for the guests to talk with Julie before the vote. Jordan talked with Julie in private, Julie asked her about marriage? Jordan said they had to discuss their living situation after the show first (they are still long distance).

Shelly and Cassie made their speeches, both praised the other for being amazing. Then the vote occurred, and EVERYONE evicted Cassie. Everyone said their goodbyes, as Julie let Shelly know this means she has a golden key.

Julie talked to Cassie asking if she thinks her looks caused the jealousy of the other girls? She didn’t think so, but admitted it does happen and it is unfortunate. Cassie watched the videos, and of course Rachel told her she was the worst game player and she doesn’t like her as a person. Everyone else pretty much said how much they liked her, and it was terrible that jealousies is what brought about this for her.

The HOH game was played, and it was a pick A or B based on how they thought America answered the questions about two house guests (which were on CBS.com last week). In the end the winner and new HOH is . . . . Rachel!

Pretty Little Liars: The -A Mystery Deepens!

Pretty Little Liars: The -A Mystery Deepens!

Just some random thoughts on the last few episodes of “Pretty Little Liars.”

The first few episodes were so action packed and so much was happening, but lately they’ve slowed down a little.

I suspected all along in the video of Ian and Allison that she wasn’t dead, that the video cut off early. Now we know it did, so do the girls. Emily also figured out that Ian’s suicide letter was pieced together from messages -A had been sending them all along . . . . so now it seems like -A and Alison’s killer could be the same person!

Mona’s organizing the fashion show, where all hell broke lose at the end, was a tad suspicious. I’ve always had my eye on her. However I think the real clue was Spencer catching her dad on the phone upset to learn about Jason DiLaurentis being back in town . . . . Oh lord don’t tell me he was Alison’s “Older Man” and he killed her?

Then of course there is Jason, who claims he has no memory of the day Alison disappeared. Hmmmm.

Fairy Tale Fall!

Fairy Tale Fall!

Posted by Dustin on 07.18.2011 at 3:19 pm

If you’ve been to a movie this summer, one that includes the “First Looks” things before the trailers and movie start, then you’ve no doubt seen the previews of ABC’s “Once Upon A Time.” ABC is heavily pushing this show, which will air before “Housewives” on Sundays. I actually can’t wait for it. Given how much they are promoting it, I’m hoping it won’t fall victim to the “ABC Cancelation Curse” that usually befalls all the new shows on their channel that I like!

Related, but with a much more horror focus is NBC’s “Grimm.” This is probably the only NEW thing I’ll be watching on NBC this fall honestly. This along with FX’s just picked up “American Horror Story” should be something fans of “Harpers Island” and “Happy Town” might enjoy.

True Blood: Alcide Gets Nekkid . . . And Other Things

True Blood: Alcide Gets Nekkid . . . And Other Things

Posted by Dustin on 07.18.2011 at 12:22 pm

I kinda feel like that really was what last night’s episode was all about, an extended naked tease of Alcide. Okay there was more going on, but it was a slow episode that seemed to be setting up stories to come. However I felt like it could have all been done in 5 minutes really.

Sookie is clearly falling for “The New Eric,” which happens in the books. Given what a jerk Bill is being, I guess I don’t have any feelings one way or another about this. I do hate that Alcide is with Debbie again, and I feel they are setting her up to go psycho on Sookie out of jealousy. I DO know what becomes of her in the books 🙂

I loved seeing Katherine Helmond on the show, what a nice surprise! Bill and Portia though, ewwwww. “Flowers in the Attic” moment with the reveal he’s her great great great granddaddy!

Loved seeing Jason kill Crystal’s brother (Felton?), but she’s still nuts as hell. The beginning scene with him being raped over and over was a little too much for me. I really hope he doesn’t end up with 1000 white trailer park trash kids!

The story with Sam and his new girl, who has a kid whose dad is a werewolf, I get the feeling this is also setting up Alcide’s other story for the season. Awhile ago it was spoiled the new Alpha Wolf would be showing up (I think that was in the previews). My guess is he’s that woman’s ex.

Once again, I couldn’t stand the Tommy story. Am I supposed to feel story that he’s a dumb ass and got conned by his trashy parents again? Because I’m not. Let them keep him!

I loved the story with Terry, Arlene and the Damian like baby. Looks like Arlene wasn’t making the evil up in his head, and now Terry knows it as well. When the baby wrote on the wall, I really expected it to say “Redrum!”

The witches story was fairly small this episode. We now know for sure that Marnie is being possessed by an executed Spanish witch, we just don’t know what she wants except for the fact that she hates the vamps. This week she took on Pam, causing her flesh to rot to match her corpse of a body. She screwed with the wrong girl this time!

Big Brother: 2nd Couple On The Block . . .

Big Brother: 2nd Couple On The Block . . .

Posted by Dustin on 07.17.2011 at 7:56 pm

The first five minutes tonight of course were recaps and thoughts. With Shelly and Kalia voting with the Vets, Adam and Keith realized the Newbies were divided and there was trouble.

Lawon was pissed, he stuck his ass out for the team and it’s all cracking. Adam said he was asked to vote with them, he said yes to their face, but lied and voted with the Newbies.

Dominic walked off during a Newbies discussion, which made Adam think he was a rat. Kalia reminded them 2 people voted with their side . . . she was one and didn’t tell them obviously. Adam knew he and Dom were going up this week.

Rachel came to talk to the Newbies and told them that some people in the house like Porsche, and she’s here now to stay. Later Rachel congratulated Porsche and gave her a big hug in private.

Shelly told Adam to stop playing with Dom and play for himself, make a deal with the Vets. Dom meanwhile talked to Cassie that he had to ditch Adam and make deals to survive. As it turns out, they both think the other voted against the Newbies!

Jordan got her HOH room and showed it off. Then there was a lot of filler scenes. Rachel and Cassie hate one another. Dominic kissed the Vets butts, trying to form an showmance with Danielle.

Adam went to talk to Jordan and Jeff to try and save himself, saying the alliance he thought he had betrayed him. Adam said if he’s nominated and gets the key, he’ll owe them a lot. Jeff however didn’t know if they could trust him since he did tell them he voted against them last week. Danielle meanwhile tried to help Dominic stay in the house.

The Have-Have Not competition was held. It was an obstacle course time competition, with the guests stuck together in a single ant costume having to retrieved food from a picnic basket and bring it to their home base.

During the competition Kalia ended up hurting herself badly. A medic came out to check on her, in the end it seemed everything was fine. She was hysterical because of fear.

Brendon and Rachel won, and they got to chose Dominic and Adam, and Cassie and Shelly to be the Have-Nots. America voted to let the Have-Nots to Jelly Beans and Beef Jerky as their treats.

Dominic came to the Vets to try and make his own deal. Jordan however really didn’t trust Dom as he was the leader of the Newbies.

The Vets talked, Dani wanted Cassie up, she was causing Drama, along with Rachel of course. Dani defended Dominic, and Jeff liked him too. Jordan however doesn’t like Dom.

In the end she put up Dominic and Adam. She said she put them up because she doesn’t know where their heads are, and she feels she is a target of theirs, even though she really likes them as well as everyone in the house.

The new viewer vote over at CBS.com will somehow factor into the next HOH next week. It’s 20 bizarre questions about your view on the House Guests, which means Julie will probably ask them the same questions and they have to guess how the majority of America voted.

For some POV spoilers, read on . . . .

Big Brother 13: The First Eviction Is . . . and New HOH

Big Brother 13: The First Eviction Is . . . and New HOH

Posted by Dustin on 07.14.2011 at 8:56 pm

Brandon and Rachel got into a “tiff” because Rachel revealed her pet name for Brandon was Bookie. She actually ran around screaming it in the back yard, which embarrassed him. They eventually made up . . . it was all nauseating!

Brandon and Rachel started targeting some of the Newbies to bring them over to their side, such as Adam and Shelly.

The houseguests assembled and they got a message from Dick. It was as evasive as his one online. He apologized to Danielle, he wanted to spend time with her as they seem to get along best in the house.

Danielle spoke about the video. She said that she is rolling with the punches and hanging in there. Julie asked if she had no “I love you” for him? She called awkward, but said obviously she loves him as he is her biological father. (She also made a little “I love my dad” speech in the booth.)

The vote began, and Keith and Porsche spoke and gave their little speeches.

Dominick, Cassie, Keith and Adam – Voted for Porsche
Brandon, Jordan, Danielle, Jeff, Kalia and Shelly- Voted to evict Keith

Julie revealed by a vote of 6-4 . . . Keith is evicted! He of course THOUGHT he was safe.

Julie let Porsche know she has a golden key and a spot in the top ten.

Julie talked to Keith about how he was cocky he had the votes. He said he was, and he was and is shocked. Julie made him feel foolish to throw the veto, one of the few contestants on the block to ever do that.

Keith watched his videos and just laughed at them. Julie then let us know the new HOH game was still ahead . . .

The HOH game was a golf game, which they’ve been playing all week. Rachel, Danielle and Porsche were also not competing. (It seems Brandon can compete!)

In the end, Jordon won HOH!

Glee: End of the Road for Rachel, Kurt and Finn?

Glee: End of the Road for Rachel, Kurt and Finn?

Posted by Dustin on 07.14.2011 at 10:05 am

Yesterday Ryan Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter that Finn, Rachel and Kurt would not return for season 4 of “Glee,” their characters would be graduating. There was no mention of the likes of Puck or Quinn, but I’m assuming they are all in the same class.

However the characters might not be gone forever, as Murphy talks to TV Line about the idea that the graduates could try and make it in New York, which could mean a spin-off of the hit show.

Evel Dick’s Explination For Leaving The Game

Evel Dick’s Explination For Leaving The Game

Posted by Dustin on 07.11.2011 at 10:56 am

Last night was a new episode of “Big Brother” where the Have/Have-not game was played, and Rachel had to nominate two house guests. She nominated Porsche and Keith. The show was a bit of a snoozer. The real drama will air on Wednesday which addresses Evel Dick’s departure.

Dick posted on his website http://www.rtvzone.com/ a message addressing it. There is no way to link to his message or embed it, you have to go there to watch it (language warning!). In a nutshell he only says that a close personal friend was in dire need, this person had always been there for him, so he had to be there for them. He wouldn’t say who it was (not an immediate family member or girlfriend) or what the issue was out of respect for their privacy.

True Blood: Good Bye Fairy Godmother!

True Blood: Good Bye Fairy Godmother!

Posted by Dustin on 07.11.2011 at 10:49 am

Just some quick thoughts on last nights show. I want to watch the show again today/tonight to see what I missed (in Virginia right now).

The Jason/Crystal storyline, while I understand is somewhat following the books, irks me. I really hate Crystal right now, and her brother even more. I hope Jason gets revenge on them both! I also hope he doesn’t actually get stuck with “a litter” of kids!

Pam had the best line of the show to Jesus, Lafayette and Tara . . . “I will eat, f*c* and kill all three of you!” They made a deal for their lives to help Pam get the old Eric back, only Marnie could do it . . .

Of course Marnie doesn’t know what she did or how she did it, but she doesn’t seem to want to help the vampires. She’s also being haunted by another witch, or possessed by her, or both.

*Possible Spoiler!* I don’t know how much of this is related to the books, but last summer they put out a 6 part comic. In it Eric told a back story about how he fell in love with some woman who knew who and what he was, and she ended up giving her life to save him and was burned at the stake (or something, it’s been awhile since I read it). It makes me think that is who this woman is.

Seeking help dealing with a horny from fairy smell Eric, Sookie went to see Alcide, only to learn he’s back with Debbie Pelt. WHAT! I’m so disappointed in him! Debbie is supposedly off the V and back to her old self. Yeah right! She needs to meet Tommy, they belong together.

Tommy was up to his old tricks, trying to swindle Maxine out of her house. I loath his character. I just don’t see why he has to be on the show!

There was some more issues with Arlene’s baby, and Terry giving him and old creepy doll to play with. (This is a lot of what I missed).

The end of the show had Claudine coming to try and persuade Sookie to return with her to Fairyland. Yeah right, as if Sookie would go back there after all that happened! Eric then pounced her and drained her until she turned into one of the ugly fairies and then exploded! Sookie exclaimed “You killed my fairy godmother!” 2nd best line of the show!
