True Blood: Alcide Gets Nekkid . . . And Other Things

I kinda feel like that really was what last night’s episode was all about, an extended naked tease of Alcide. Okay there was more going on, but it was a slow episode that seemed to be setting up stories to come. However I felt like it could have all been done in 5 minutes really.

Sookie is clearly falling for “The New Eric,” which happens in the books. Given what a jerk Bill is being, I guess I don’t have any feelings one way or another about this. I do hate that Alcide is with Debbie again, and I feel they are setting her up to go psycho on Sookie out of jealousy. I DO know what becomes of her in the books 🙂

I loved seeing Katherine Helmond on the show, what a nice surprise! Bill and Portia though, ewwwww. “Flowers in the Attic” moment with the reveal he’s her great great great granddaddy!

Loved seeing Jason kill Crystal’s brother (Felton?), but she’s still nuts as hell. The beginning scene with him being raped over and over was a little too much for me. I really hope he doesn’t end up with 1000 white trailer park trash kids!

The story with Sam and his new girl, who has a kid whose dad is a werewolf, I get the feeling this is also setting up Alcide’s other story for the season. Awhile ago it was spoiled the new Alpha Wolf would be showing up (I think that was in the previews). My guess is he’s that woman’s ex.

Once again, I couldn’t stand the Tommy story. Am I supposed to feel story that he’s a dumb ass and got conned by his trashy parents again? Because I’m not. Let them keep him!

I loved the story with Terry, Arlene and the Damian like baby. Looks like Arlene wasn’t making the evil up in his head, and now Terry knows it as well. When the baby wrote on the wall, I really expected it to say “Redrum!”

The witches story was fairly small this episode. We now know for sure that Marnie is being possessed by an executed Spanish witch, we just don’t know what she wants except for the fact that she hates the vamps. This week she took on Pam, causing her flesh to rot to match her corpse of a body. She screwed with the wrong girl this time!

  1. Yes – more Alcide!

I agree – no more Tommy and his trashy mom and dad!

Haven’t read the books – will be interesting to see what happens with Arlene’s baby. What can one do to a baby that doesn’t land one in jail? Maybe the witches can exorcise the demon out of him.

How come Eric could hear Sookie and Alcide chatting on the porch from within his cubby, but Bill couldn’t hear Sookie and Eric chatting in the cubby when he was standing on the porch? Does Eric have the porch bugged and have speakers in his bedroom?

    New Eric is kinda dull.

  2. Many of the stories on the show aren’t from the books. From what I understand, this whole Renee’s baby is for the show alone.

  3. I get the feeling that Arlene baby didn’t write that on the wall. I think it was the cursed doll,or Arlene might have done it in her sleep. She could have been sleep walking. But the baby can’t even talk, so I doubt it could write. ..and even if it could write he would not have wrote “IT NOT YOUR BABY”, he would have wrote” I’M NOT YOUR CHILD’, or something like that.

As for Bill not being able to hear Eric and Sookie. We do not know that to be a fact. I got the feeling that Bill did hear Sookie talking to Eric, and that is why he wanted to search her place. But when Sookie (who never lied to him) lied to her to protect Eric, it throw Bill for a shock. Did you notice the look on Bill’s face when Sookie refuse to let him in?

  4. Luvprue1, I never even thought about the doll writing the message! Interesting idea. I think the writing was “Baby not yours”, but I might be wrong.

I suppose it’s possible that Bill did hear Eric and Sookie talking…
