Grey’s Anatomy: Meredith Did A Good, But Bad Thing!
Posted by Dustin on 04.30.2011 at 5:46 pm
So this last episode had some serious fast forwarding going on as a few weeks went by as Callie healed and the baby (Sophie?) became strong enough to survive on her own without machines. The show ended with Callie being discharged finally, but realizing while she was going home, her baby wasn’t yet.
As Callie and the baby grew stronger though, Adele’s Alzheimers rapidly progressed. This story was just so sad, especially when she thought Meredith was her mom and was begging her to give her back her husband. Meredith put Derek’s trial in jeopardy when she switched Adele’s medication and gave her the drug instead of the placebo she was supposed to get. That’s going to come back to bite her in the but, no Chief Resident for Meredith I bet!
Alex arranged for all these orphans to come over from Africa for treatment. From the spoilers it’s clear Meredith and Derek decide to adopt one. My guess is that will be the reason they need a legal wedding, to get permission to adopt from a foreign country.
Stark is back to being a jerk to April. Boo!

So it’s been awhile since I commented on “Idol.” I am watching it, along with “DWTS” (well only partially with the later). At this point I feel like I’m only watching to see what the judges, and in particular Steven, say. I feel like it’s probably going to come down to Scotty and James in the end.
I really was shocked Casey went home last night. I expected Jacob to go for sure. I don’t know how he’s still there. I’m so over his over the top singing at this point. I just want to shove a big sock in his mouth.
I hope next year the voting is somehow changed. I feel like this show is more about little girls voting for which guy they think is the cutest, not the best singer. While I vote every now and then, I am not one who makes sure to vote as many times and as many ways as possible . . . and I know there are those crazed fans out there!
In other show news, I am loving “The Voice!” A very different take on a singing competition and the premier episode was really fun.
Housewives and Walkers Thoughts!
Posted by Dustin on 04.27.2011 at 1:01 pm
As we approach the season finales, some thoughts on Sunday nights’s “Desperate Housewives” and “Brothers and Sisters.”
On “Desperate Housewives” Susan’s sex dreams about Paul were just creeeeepy! I hate that she’s getting reeled in by him. Yeah he was a good guy . . . . once! Actually he was never really a good guy was he? Helping his wife kill another woman and steal Mike’s kid . . . what is Susan thinking?
I loved Gabby and Bree’s sneaking around, and then at the end of the show Gabby choosing Bree over Carlos. He probably should have known his wife better than to give her such an ultimatum!
Lynette’s story, as most of hers lately, annoyed me. I guess what also annoyed me was that nobody at this conference knew who she was. She used to be the big wig in business, not Tom. And Tom only just now got a huge break. Shouldn’t people have known Lynette over Tom at this conference?
“Brothers and Sisters” annoyed me to no end. The whole story with Michelle stealing the baby and going psycho, and the cops not making this a priority? OMG! I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, for her to reveal she slept with someone and didn’t know if the baby was theirs or not. However it seems that never happened, and she just got attached to the baby she was carrying and didn’t want to give it up (even though the egg wasn’t hers). At the end, Justin showed up with the baby, saying Michelle dropped it off at his place and ran.
The other major story was the revelation that Brody was Sarah’s father, and she wanted nothing to do with him. It seems based on previews she makes her mom choose between her and Brody . . . not cool Sarah! Why did Justin not reveal it was William who knew all along and asked Brody to say nothing and lie about his blood type?

Glee Spoilers! Prom Queens, Returns, And More!
Posted by Dustin on 04.22.2011 at 11:42 am
First up, “Glee” returned this week with the fund rasier episode, Sue forming the Legion of Doom to take down the glee club, and Will and Emma finally making their way back to one another (with the exit of Carl and Holly). Personally, it wasn’t my favorite episode. I actually thought it was a bit dull.
Now onto some spoilers . . . .
Jonathan Groff will return as Vocal Adrenaline’s Jesse St. James for the final three episodes of the season.
Kristen Chenowith also returns as April Rhodes on May 10th. She’ll sing an original song “It’s 10am and I’m Drunk.”
Finally an extra spoiled some major tidbits about the upcoming 90 minute prom episode . . . . If you don’t wanna know stop reading now!
Dave Karofsky is named Prom King . . . and Kurt Prom Queen! It’s apparently part of a mean joke.
Kurt and Blaine go to the prom and share a dance.
Emma and Will will also share a dance!
There seems to be a Britney and Sanata moment in the episode as well.

So “Parenthood’s” second season ended last night. The show has not yet been renewed. I hope it does, but if it’s not, I’m at least happy it didn’t end with unresolved cliff hangers. Or huge ones at least.
A lot of the show actually seemed to be taken from the movie (Adam’s job, the lost retainer). I hated that Adam got fired, and I hope his boss ends up begging him to come back (which happened in the movie, though the character quit).
The twist with Christina being pregnant I thought was a good one. I figured it out when the scene came about, but the previews really made it seem like the daughter had gotten knocked up.
Julia and Joel deciding to adopt was sweet. Jasmine and Crosby? They are at least talking. As much as I hated how she acted, I hate Crosby cheating even more. I don’t know if they’ll be able to save that relationship so easily.
Sarah’s play was great. I do hope if the show comes back, Drew gets more of a storyline. He’s like the neglected kid on the show it seems.

Sunday Night Show Thoughts Showdown!
Posted by Dustin on 04.18.2011 at 12:29 pm
So this is a quick post on last night’s TV shows. I watched so much TV last night it’s quickly becoming a blur.
On “Desperate Housewives” the revelation about Andrew killing Mama Solis came out. Carlos forgave him as he was a kid, and blames Bree. Oh dear! Bree just keeps getting one blow after another this season. How long before she’s back on the bottle?
Felicia moved back to the lane and has tried to fool Paul into thinking they can put the past behind them, but she has big plans for him. Paul better watch out. The show only has 3 more episodes left, and then a two hour finale. Supposedly we’ll be left with yet another death on the lane!
On “Brothers and Sisters” they dropped two bombs on us. First, Brody lied and in fact may be Sarah’s father! William put him up to it, and Brody fled town not wanting to hurt Nora anymore than he had. Justin found out and wanted him to come clean. Oh my! The second bomb was predicted, Scotty and Kevin’s surrogate had the baby it seems.
OMG! If we now have to deal with a kidnapped kid and them searching for baby that may or may not be theirs I’ll scream!
“Army Wives” was pretty much a filler episode. Pamela and Chase got married again, which was the majority of the show. Roxy and Trevor’s marriage remains on the outs thanks to Roxy pushing forward with the Truck Stop. I hate the way Trevor is acting honestly, though Roxy brining an ex back in to help her is a bad move too. I hope they don’t wreck their marriage.
The OMG moment of “Wives” was when Claudia Joy got the news of a tumor on her ovary. Seriously, how much crap can this woman take? Poor Claudia Joy!
Finally I tuned into HBO’s new show “Game of Thrones” last night. WOW! I was really impressed. Love me some epic fantasy shows. I actually have the first book and meant to read it, but only got through the first chapter. I’ll just add it to the pile of books I have to read that I now watch the shows they are based on!
