Parenthood Returns Thoughts + April Spoilers!

Parenthood Returns Thoughts + April Spoilers!

So “Parenthood” FINALLY returned . . . . yet another heartbreaking episode!

Amber, who got a internship at Julia’s job, learned she didn’t get into Berkley OR to her “safe school” . . . yeah she only applied to two places. I felt so bad for Amber! She found out about Berkley through a phone call with the woman who interviewed her . . . so I am HOPING that she got the news wrong!

Julia got the news that she has scaring that makes getting pregnant next to impossible . . . Oh Noes! As much as she annoys me, I was on her and Joel’s side.

Crosby attempted to mend fences with Jasmine, but she told him she didn’t know if she could forgive him, and it was time for her to move on . . . um . . . GOOD! Crosby *Bleeped* it up, he needs to suffer!

Finally Zeek’s friend is going to put on Sarah’s play . . . Oh no! I have a feeling that Sarah’s family probably won’t love the way they’ve been portrayed . . . given it’s autobiographical.

Spoilers for the next two episodes follow!

True Blood: Waiting Still Sucks! More Spoiler Previews

True Blood: Waiting Still Sucks! More Spoiler Previews

Posted by Dustin on 03.31.2011 at 3:13 pm

A bunch more of HBO’s spoiler teasers have been released. I’m pasting the videos below, along with a few spoiler comments on them . . .

Sam’s new love interest is a witch! (Side Note: If the actress looks familiar, she was on “The Gates” as the cop who had her heart ripped out . . . literally!)

Jason has been, or will be turned, into a Werepanther! This did happen in the books.

Bill and Eric discover a coven of witches . . . who are controlling the dead?

Grey’s and Private Practice: All About The Babies!

Grey’s and Private Practice: All About The Babies!

Posted by Dustin on 03.29.2011 at 7:17 pm

So it’s been almost a week since last week’s “Grey’s” and “Private Practice” episodes. I’m just putting out some quick thoughts on what I can recall happened. Can’t wait for this weeks shows and the big musical “Grey’s.”

Mark planned Callie a Baby Shower, while Arizona hated the entire thing and sucked at helping with it. She tried to make up for things by taking Callie away on a trip, and suggesting they get married. Callie ended up taking her seat belt off in the car to reach something in the back seat . . . The minute she did that I knew it meant something bad was about to happen . . . and it did . . . she and Arizona ended up in a car accident.

April and Stark broke up in this episode, or rather April, afraid Stark would expect her to put out, broke it off with him. While I was originally grossed out by these two, in this episode I found myself feeling bad for Stark. I actually want these two to work out oddly!

Adele was tested for Alzheimers and Derek’s trial. She failed to get in . . . by one point. Poor Adele . . . poor Chief! So unfair for the chief to have the two women in his life fall victim to the same disease.

The Chief decided to delegate the choice of Chief Resident to Hunt . . . which sucks for poor Christina as if he chooses her, everyone will cry favoritism. I felt really bad for her!

Over on “Private Practice,” Addison and Pete dealt with a love triangle involving a man, his wife, and his wife’s sister who was also their surrogate. The whole story basically served to once again bring up the baby issue with Addison . . . who thought in this episode she might be pregnant. NOPE! Only the flu. She cornered Sam at the end saying she needs a baby, if he couldn’t be supportive then she’d basically dump him . . . . DUMP HIM PLEASE! Actually it pains me to admit it, but I’ve finally accepted the two of them together. I’m not crazy about them, but I’ve accepted it. I won’t cry tears if the break up though.

Meanwhile the woman who panned Violet’s book ended up falling for Sheldon, and vice versa.

Army Wives: And The Death Is . . . . .

Army Wives: And The Death Is . . . . .

Posted by Dustin on 03.27.2011 at 8:10 pm

So as many of us guessed, Jeremy Sherwood was the casualty on “Army Wives,” killed in combat. Even though most of us guessed that is who it was, the episode was nonetheless really sad.

For one brief moment early on, when we didn’t yet know who had died, when we saw the wives sitting at the funeral . . . I thought it was Trevor. I saw TJ next to his mom and thought “Oh no, it’s Trevor!”

However it was Jeremy who was killed, and the news sent shockwaves through the unit in Afghanistan and back home for the wives and their families. Roxy had to answer her kids questions as to “Could our dad die to?” while Roland remembered working with Jeremy to help him get ready to go back to combat.

Of course the real heart break was watching Tonya, Denise and Frank deal with Jeremy’s death. Frank was the one that was truly heartbreaking to watch, especially when he had to escort the body home. Sitting on that plane with your son’s coffin right there, wow! Probably the worst scene of the show, in terms of heartbreak that is.

I definitely wonder if perhaps Tonya might return later in the season. Surprise she’s pregnant! I could see them pulling that soap trick.

I also hope that Trevor doesn’t turn to pills again to deal with this.

The previews for what is to come have Denise going AWAL. Where has she disappeared to? Time will tell!

American Idol Season 10 Thoughts

American Idol Season 10 Thoughts

Posted by Dustin on 03.24.2011 at 3:36 pm

So is it wrong that I think I watch more for the judges than the contestants? Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tylor are AMAZING! They really have breathed new life into this show.

I definitely am liking the clips of the contestants reacting to their critiques once they get off stage. Nice touch.

I can still do without the idiotic car commercial videos on elimination night. Bleck! They are worse than the lip synched numbers they open the shows with.

A lot of the kids have talent, I just thing some of their choices suck. Some of them are picking songs that are waaaaaaaay to old or slow. Pick up the tempo, rock and pop songs!

James Durbin is great, I REALLY want him to do a Skid Row song. I had hoped to see Adam Lambert do one when he was on, but it never happened.

Paul McDonald . . . WHY is he still here? His voice, his clothes, his moves . . . they all irritate me! The same with Scotty McDeepVoice. Yes he can sing, but all he can sing is country and it all sounds the same to me. I also am not the fan of Naima (sp?) that the judges are. I think she always sounds flat.

Is Michael Safe on “Army Wives?”

Is Michael Safe on “Army Wives?”

Lifetime is promoting a join the “Army Wives” on twitter event this Sunday for the big episode. One of the cast members is Fort Marshall’s own Brian McNamara. On his twitter feed, he talks about not only directing upcoming episodes, but acting in them, specifically episode 10.

Day 4 prepping episode 10! It just keeps getting better!! Great crew, great cast, great writers! 18 Mar

BTW have I mentioned how much I love acting with my beautiful and talented TV wife… Kim Delaney 18 Mar

I’m going to take these two tweets as meaning Michael is NOT the person who bites it this Sunday.

My money is still on Jeremy.

Pretty Little Liars “Spring Finale” Thoughts

Pretty Little Liars “Spring Finale” Thoughts

Posted by Dustin on 03.24.2011 at 1:43 pm

I have to say, I’m more lost than ever after this week’s finale of “Pretty Little Liars.” There are so many suspects that it’s insane, but for some reason my money is still on either Melissa or Mona.

We did learn that Jenna was after a video Allison had of her (though apparently peeping Ian took). It was of her seducing Toby via blackmail, saying she’d cry rape if he didn’t sleep with her. The girls learned Ian had been peeping on all of them for years, and Allison got ahold of his vids. They think that is why he killed her . . . .but did he?

Jenna has been having a fling with Garret, the cop on the force, who I believe is also Allison’s older brother. Ewwww! They are working together for sure to try and get the video back, or she’s at least using him to do her work since Toby isn’t under her spell anymore.

Spencer caught Ian and her sister in more lies about their trip to Hilton Head years ago, she knows her sister wasn’t there like she told the police . . . that perhaps he was there with Allison?

The end of the show had the girls setting up Ian to try and catch him, but he pulled one over on them. He sent a phony to meet three of the girls while he went to corner Spencer at the church, where she went to get Melissa’s lost cell phone (lost, uh huh). A car crash sent Melissa to the hospital, and rather than go there to be with his wife and learn news of their unborn kid, Ian waited for Spencer to leave the hospital and go to the church for the phone to confront her. He planned to kill her, then have it look like she committed suicide over her guilt of killing Alison, but -A had other plans for him, knocking him off the church bell tower balcony and leaving him hanging in the church bell ropes. We didn’t see -A, just someone in a sweat suit and hoodie.

Now it would be hard for Melissa to be -A, cause she was in the hospital. However if -A and the killer are two different people, then she could still be the killer. I think she has severe psychological issues and is one or the other for sure.

Mona is also on my radar, as her actions with Caleb’s letter and him phoning Hannah were suspicious. I have to wonder, is she really being a friend to Hannah and trying to protect her, or does Caleb have info she doesn’t want Hannah to know?

Army Wives: The News Cometh!

Army Wives: The News Cometh!

Posted by Dustin on 03.21.2011 at 11:32 am

So we just had the 3rd episode of “Army Wives,” and we still don’t know who is dead! I mean come on now. This was teased in the season premier. Way to drag it out. However there is no getting around this issue next week as the men approached the wives at the end of this episode, and they knew what it meant.

Much of this show seemed to me to set Jeremy or Trevor up as the walking dead. Roxy and Trevor did sort out their argument over TJ, but TJ has serious anger issues still and hurt Pamela’s son. Meanwhile Tonya got cold feet and tried to break the wedding off, but after talking to Denise told Jeremy she just got scared and couldn’t live without him.

There was some back stories with Roland and Joan, whose daughter got accepted to an exclusive preschool, and Claudia Joy learning about Professor Chandler’s past troubles . . . . but it just seemed like filler. The whole episode did in a way.

So who is dead? I think at this point it is probably Jeremy . . . however the party was at Claudia Joy’s house, and thats where the men came. They wouldn’t kill of Michael would they? Claudia Joy does have a life established for her outside of the army now, so it could happen . . . .
