Grey’s and Off The Map Thoughts, Grey’s Spoiler Bits!

Grey’s and Off The Map Thoughts, Grey’s Spoiler Bits!

So I really loved the last two episodes of “Grey’s.” The race for Chief Resident and them all being graded I thought was hilarious. Okay not so funny that Alex is in the lead, but I guess he really was the only one who taught (in and out of the bedroom).

The twist that Callie is pregnant with Mark’s kid was not so shocking. I just don’t know what it’s going to do to Mark and Lexie and Callie and Arizona’s relationships. I did love that Callie didn’t just forgive Arizona so easily. “Get your crap out of my house!” Loved it!

I love love love the Teddy story with her patient. Loved that everyone in the hospital but the Chief was basically on her side. I just have a bad feeling they are going to kill her husband off 🙁

The new in love Bailey is so much fun too.

I feel so bad for Meredith and Derek, who can’t get pregnant. With Callie pregnant it’s gunna be even more difficult for her I bet, and I have a feeling someone else is going to end up preggers soon as well . . . .

As for “Off The Map,” I liked the different medical stories that can be done, and there was a lot of excitement there . . . . However the characters either told us their whole stories in episode one, or are cookie cutter “Grey’s” characters. The plastics guy is Alex, the cold Blonde is Yang, then there is the Addison, Derek Meredith triangle with the other three. Yawn!

“Grey’s” Spoiler Bits!
Kevin McKidd talked to TV Guide and revealed Christina and Owen face a life decision that man other people in the hospital are going through, and they both have very different opinions about it. A baby?

Kristin reports that Loretta Divine (Adele Webber) will return at some point this season as a patient! Uh oh!

V: Tyler and Lisa?

V: Tyler and Lisa?

Posted by Dustin on 01.19.2011 at 2:06 pm

So I did not get to see last week’s “V.” It didn’t Tivo, and it’s difficult to find online. I did find it, but just ran out of time and never watched it and forged ahead with this week’s show. Fortunately I think I get the gist of what happened.

So Anna thinks that the key to controlling human emotions (and thereby breeding with them?) is extracting the human soul? That’s what the machine Chad witnessed was doing. My guess is it’s the human soul that makes breeding possible. I don’t like that Joshua is now bad at all. I hope he gets hit on the head soon and remembers he was fifth column.

Lisa’s body began to change, she began to develop her breeding skin. Diana warned Anna that Lisa would soon betray her, much as Anna betrayed Diana. One thing I didn’t get, in reading last week’s recap, it was revealed that Anna was infertile? But she had Lisa, and she laid eggs before? Did she suddenly become infertile because Lisa was getting her breeding skin? Confused . . . .

Erica learned Tyler was missing vital portions of his DNA, and the scientist guy that has joined fifth column suspects it’s so the Vs can put something into it. The show ended with Tyler going to Anna for help dealing with his mother (Anna said he was like a son to her) and Lisa going to Erica for help dealing with her mother. Hmmmmmm, ever notice how Lisa looks like Erica . . . and Tyler like Anna? Was there some serious genetic engineering/baby swapping going on?

The show ended with Ryan about to sell out the Fifth Column to Anna in order to get his daughter back. I have to believe he’s gunna give her fake names, or names of the rogue members. He knows Anna won’t just hand his daughter over to him, that kid is too important. I expect when V returns in 2 weeks she’ll also be 5 years old since she’s aging so fast (much like the kid in the first series).

Back Home!

Back Home!

Posted by Dustin on 01.17.2011 at 12:02 pm

So I am home from vacation. Believe it or not, I’m also almost caught up on all the shows I missed. Some shows still aren’t back (Glee, 90210) so that made it easy, and others (Idol) aren’t back yet. Though I am not sure how much I’ll actually bother with Idol, as it’s just not going to be the same. That plus last season was such a train wreck.

The only show I can’t find online or on demand (and I didn’t Tivo), is last week’s “V.” I’m pretty miffed about that, why ABC doesn’t have it online anywhere I don’t understand. I guess I’ll have to read the recap unless it magically goes up somewhere (but the season premier isn’t up either so I’m not holding my breath). I also want to give “The Cape” and “Off the Map” a try. Did anyone? What were your thoughts on them?

Grey’s and Private Practice: January 6th Episodes

Grey’s and Private Practice: January 6th Episodes

Posted by Dustin on 01.08.2011 at 10:34 am

Some quick thoughts on the return of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice” on Thursday, January 6th.

First up, a good episode of “Grey’s.” Arizona got a job back at the hospital, but she’s working under that nasty Dr. Stark now. I really hope he quits or they find a way to fire him, but knowing these shows, a kid will probably have to die first.

Callie was not yet willing to forgive Arizona. I’m glad, because I thought Arizona was a down right snot to her. I do have a feeling from the spoilers that Callie is going to end up knocked up with Mark’s kid. I hope that does not ruin Mark’s reunion with Lexie, but I’m sure it somehow will.

Teddy’s marriage to her patient for insurance purposes could be a great story, but Scott Foley is only guesting for a few episodes. I hope they don’t kill him, because he could be brought back later on. I like them together.

Loved Yang finally jumping back into surgery. I was convinced the whole time the kid they thought was the shooter wouldn’t be, but they never went there. I also loved Meredith giving Derek a bit of grief because all he seemed concerned about was Yang’s trauma. Next week’s previews hinted at a possible baby for Meredith and Derek. Frankly, I wanna see their new house more than anything, Hasn’t he been building that thing forever?

On “Private Practice,” Addison was faced with the fact she couldn’t do anything to save Busy’s lover. Busy didn’t want to accept that, but near the end of the episode she did. Then she informed Addison she had divorced her father and would be marrying her lover (Susan I think). It was a line said so quickly and bluntly that it was hilarious.

The previews for next week look amazing. They were better than the whole show. I loved Naomi telling Addison that she sucks at relationshios! That she has a great guy in Sam and she’s already looking to cheat with Dr. Sexy Latin-pants! Go Naomi, give her hell and take Sam back please (though I’d rather they bring back Fife for her).

Cooper and Charlotte attempted to have adult relations for the first time. When Cooper was ready, Charlotte wasn’t. When Charlotte finally was, Cooper couldn’t do it. Grrrr! I have a feeling nothing between them will be resolved until the guy who raped Charlotte is put away. Something tells me that won’t be revisited until sweeps probably.

TVLine.com just revealed that Addison’s brother Archer would be returning in February. Uh oh, nothing good happens when he’s around.

Parenthood Returns: Haddie’s Hair Distracted Me!

Parenthood Returns: Haddie’s Hair Distracted Me!

Posted by Dustin on 01.06.2011 at 10:47 pm

“Parenthood” returned this week, and apparently to its best ratings ever. That’s good news for the fans. Was it the best episode though? I don’t think so. I had some issues.

First, damn Jabar got big! Crosby had to grow up and be a dad, not a best friend, and punish Jabar. I don’t know, I think the Jabar/Crosby/Jasmine story isn’t really fun without Renee. I’m not saying she needs to move in or anything, but I like Renee around.

Haddie’s storyline annoyed me, mostly because I couldn’t get over whatever she did to her hair. I just couldn’t get past it to get interested in her storyline, which involved her parents telling her she couldn’t see Alex (I think that’s his name) anymore, basically because he was too grown up for her. Well he does have his own apartment. She however lied to him and said everything was cool with her parents.

The fun storyline was Julia bonding with Sarah, as well as Julia having to deal with her daughter facing death for the first time. Meanwhile Sarah had to have a talk with her kids about drugs and alcohol, after Seth had a party with friends that involved beer. She had to come clean about their dad who was not always on tour, but on drunken benders and MIA for days at a time.

Next week has Adam meeting his new boss, the kid genius who bought the company but knows nothing about it really, or shoes. That looks to be a much better episode.

V Season 2: Vs Are Of Peace, Always!

V Season 2: Vs Are Of Peace, Always!

Posted by Dustin on 01.05.2011 at 8:37 pm

“V’s” second season premiered last night. I missed the marathon the night before, so it took me awhile to remember what had happened in the last season finale.

Ryan managed to escape the ship and Anna’s bliss, but not without his hybrid daughter. Anna was keeping her for study. Val it seems is in fact very dead, but I hope somehow she’s really not and will be back later on in the season. I’d think she’d be too valuable to let die.

Chad contacted Father Jack to try and join the 5th Column and prove he was no longer Anna’s whipping boy. He revealed to Father Jack that the live-aboards are being tested on at night. To prove himself to Jack and his friends, Chad says he’s going to air the story. Why do I see Chad suddenly going missing? Personally I think he’s the weakest character on this show, so I wouldn’t mind if he was kidnapped for awhile . . .

Erica began to learn why Anna was so interested in Tyler. After meeting a scientist who had discovered visitor skeletons at a site that was fifty years old, and running tests on human skeletons also found there, it appears that the V’s had not only been on earth for awhile, but were experimenting on humans . . . for the purpose of breeding. I do believe I suggested this last season, and it seems I was right. The V’s aren’t here for food as in the original, but perhaps to breed with humans. Because their species is dying? We don’t know why that want to breed with us yet.

Humanity was on alert after Anna, upset over the destruction of her hatchery, released Red Sky. Of course she quickly claimed it was yet another gift, meant to restore earth’s ozone layer and environments. She said it would dissipate in days, but reverse a hundred years of damage.

There were several interesting revelations. First, Anna has a tail! We also finally got a glimpse of what the V’s looks like when Anna ripped half a human skin off one. Erica realized that the V’s had experimented on her when she was pregnant with Tyler, which is why he is so special to Anna. Anna’s daughter (whose name I can’t recall right now!) found Joshua, who has no memory of what had happened to him . . . and possibly that he is part of the 5th column? Uh oh! Of course the best part was when Anna went to see her mother Diana, who is imprisoned somewhere within a ship. For a prisoner, she sure had a nice dress and high heels on when she appeared!

Things not yet revealed, what is going on with Hobbs. The way the season ended last year, his devotion to the 5th Column seemed uncertain. Also Anna’s right hand man, what is he up to. He is the one who saved Joshua, so obviously he has plans. I’m thinking that he might be interested in Diana.

Brothers and Sisters: Kitty Is Blogger Fodder

Brothers and Sisters: Kitty Is Blogger Fodder

Posted by Dustin on 01.03.2011 at 10:50 pm

Along with “Housewives,” “Brothers and Sisters” marked the return of TV after the long long long holiday break. This show has really been on a roll lately. This episode was yet another great episode.

Kitty’s dating the dean’s son was finally found out, and hit the internet blogs. I guess it was a slow news week to be picked up and be so important. Kevin’s jokes about Kitty through the whole show were the best, he always gets the good lines. Kitty met with the dean, who basically told Kitty she deserved someone better than her son. She said it without outright saying her son was a loser, but her it was pretty clear. What ?!?! Christine Rose (Nathan and Peter’s mom from “Heroes”) always plays such crappy mothers. In the end Kitty stuck with her guy though.

Nora set up a dinner for Kitty and her guy (whose name I can’t remember), Scotty and Kevin, and of course family-phobe Carl. Kevin and Scotty were worried about going through the adoption process. Carl meanwhile was just uncomfortable around her family period and really wanted to leave as quickly as he could. How does Nora always end up with jerks? She tried to break up with him at the end of the show, thinking in fact this wasn’t going to work . . . but he wants to try and make it work. I don’t know, I think Nora might be cursed in love. She’s gunna end up living with Holly and a lot of cats.

Justin became a full fledged paramedic, but in saving some guys life this week, it looks like he’s in trouble come next week because what he did wasn’t a regulation procedure or something. He and Nurse Annie however are really getting serious, which means Rebecca is probably going to show up and want Justin back any day now.

Kevin and Scotty went to an adoption fair to meet kids in the foster/adoption system. KEvin was the pessimist he always was, and felt horrible that they were going to a kid fair. It is kinda an odd thing if you think about it. I have heard of puppy and cat fairs, but kid fairs? However this young girl (maybe around 12?) came up to them and was so adorable and sweet and gave them hugs and took such an interest. Looks like someone really wants to be 2 daddy’s little girl! Definitely looking forward to next week’s show to see what happens with her.

Pretty Little Liars Is Back!

Pretty Little Liars Is Back!

Posted by Dustin on 01.03.2011 at 10:20 pm

“Pretty Little Liars” returned tonight. Sadly I still have not finished the books and don’t know who A is myself . . . and I’ve been good and not googled to find out! I’m going on my anual vacation this weekend, maybe I can get through far enough of to learn who -A is 🙂

Of note, I recorded tonights show, and missed the previews. I’ll have to see what’s coming next when they put the previews on youtube.

Hannah of course survived her accident and thought Noel, the guy who liked Aria, was -A. However it appears that he is not. While he left the message on Ezra’s car, he did so because he saw Aria and Ezra together and thought Ezra was using his position to get sex from her. She had a talk with him, trying to convince him to keep quiet. The show ended with Noel spying on Ezra, who was working late . . . I suspect Ezra is shortly gunna get his butt whooped in the parking lot.

Emily finally came out to her parents, well her dad. Her mom had previously caught her with Mia. The shocking twist was her military hero father is far more accepting than her mother, who said things like “this is wrong,” “this is something that California girl did to her,” “she’s not this person, she’s being influenced.” The entire scene was really powerful!

Aria and Spencer learned the tree that had Allison and Ian’s name carved on it had been chopped down! (I can’t remember if they learned Ian was Allison’s older man or not, I know the audience did). Spencer got another shock when her sister and Ian revealed they got married. Okay Melissa certainly gets around! I’d say that Melissa will be shocked to learn Spencer kissed Ian too, but she is still my top suspect for -A right now. Given that she married Ian like this, even more so!

At the hospital the girls proposed a theory to Hannah, that Allison’s killer and -A may be two different people. Oooooooh! Good thought. The girls then saw -A had been to visit Hannah at some point and wrote on her leg cast “Sorry I lost my temper, went a little too far, Love -A”
