Brothers and Sisters Year End Thoughts
So I’m doing two weeks of “Brothers and Sisters” thoughts in this post.
First, I thought last week’s episode featuring all the Walkers converging on a hotel for separate getaways was hysterical. It was not only the best episode this season, but one of the best episodes ever. Scratch that, this week’s episode topped last week’s! But back to last week’s episode . . . it even made me forget my anger toward’s Scotty and begin to forgive him . . . just a little.
I love Nora and her new guy, I just find myself unable to commit to her love life anymore. Her men never ever work out! So I am not expecting this one to either . . . so maybe the show will surprise me?
I find myself actually missing the Holly/David storyline . . . but not Rebecca. I do however hope when Holly gets her memory back she sides with Justin in the whole thing. I also find myself unable to invest in any of Justin’s new romances, as I expect Rebecca to return at some point for him. Not that she deserves him!
This week’s episode was probably one of the best ever. Nora’s “It’s a Wonderful Life” dream sequence turned horribly wrong was hilarious. I loved how all the kids turned out horrible without her around, and that they were plotting to kill her.
Kitty and Kevin’s Christmas war was great. I especially loved Kitty telling Kevin not to play the gay card. I also couldn’t believe Sarah fired that old lady and her wooden dummy on Christmas. Scrooge! It was nice to see in the end she hired her back.
Justin worrying about getting his figgy pudding for his new girl the entire episode was great too. I have always wanted figgy pudding myself . . . but then googled to see what it was . . . not so much!
Kitty learning her new guy was also the dean’s daughter . . . woah! I never saw that one coming. She might be in some hot water now.
The Saul storyline was a little bit of a downer for a Christmas themed episode. But I did like at the end he reminded his family of their Jewish roots as well. I was wondering if they were just sweeping that under the rug or what.
