Private Practice: Charlotte Finds Some Peace, But Not Justice

So the latest episode of “Private Practice” was just rage enducing! What’s worse is we have to wait until sometime in January for it to return . . . and we still have no resolution for Charlotte!

Naomi finally returned in this episode and got caught up on all that had been going on while she was gone. Addison meanwhile got involved with a recurring drug addicted patient who constantly gave her newborns up for cash to the doctors (who then made sure the babies went somewhere safe). The whole story continued to stir her need for a child, and create a little bit of drama with Sam who still really didn’t want anymore. Is it wrong that I hope this leads to these two breaking up? I just don’t like them together, period! I think Naomi is somehow secretly hoping the same thing too.

The Assistant DA, who seemed more concerned with protecting her 100% rape conviction record, refused to bring charges against Charlotte’s rapist, citing all the irregularities of the case . . . which again just seem to be about her not wanting to lose a case. I can’t help but worry the creep will come after Charlotte again at some point.

Charlotte talked to Sheldon and attempted to find some peace, but Cooper’s rage kept building. He took it out on the father of a patient, who he thought was molesting his son. Turns out he had the wrong parent, it was the mom! It was a really sad and depressing case. Later Cooper ended up taking more frustrations, these ones sexual, out on Amelia when he tried to kiss her. Oh Cooper . . . you are making it hard for me to root for you and Charlotte at this point. Don’t make me root for Charlotte and Sheldon!

The show ended with a cliff hanger. Addison’s mom Bizzy returned with her personal assistant/lover, who was in a wheel chair and clearly in medical trouble. Love Jo Beth Williams, so I’m glad to see her character back.

  1. This is really bad to say, but after the attitude that the DA pulled with Charlotte, I am kind of hoping that she is the next one the rapist attacks! Might make her think twice about deciding not to prosecute just to protect her reputation.
