Glee: Sectionals!
So tonight was the big halfway point to regionals, where New Directions failed last year. That’s right, sectionals. There competition were The Hipsters, an old folk GED group, and The Warblers, who are who Kurt defected to.
Mr. Schue decided to shake things up and showcase different talent, which of course got Rachel’s unmentionables all twisted up. Schue ended up unleashing holy hell on her, telling her while she was talented, she was a poor sport and not a team player. SO LONG OVERDUE! I loved every minute of Schue telling Rachel off.
Things went from bad to worse for Rachel, when she found out Santana and Finn hooked up last year. She then tried to do the same with Puck in some twisted revenge scheme, but Puck actually found a bit of morals and refused to do that to Finn yet again. She confessed to Finn though, and he dumped her! He pointed out when he was with Santana, they weren’t yet a couple . . . but what she did was just plain cheatin (and mean).
Kurt learned that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. While at his new school he may not be getting bullied, he’s also just a drone who has lost his individuality and personality. When he was singing Evita, and Blaine made the gesture for him NOT to do the required hand lift . . . wow! Yeah that was telling. You’re not gunna get bullied cause basically your being turned into a mindless uniform wearing zombie. Why do I get the feeling we’ll soon be hearing Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall?” Oh and by the way, the Evita stuff made me tingle! I have been waiting to see them do that forever.
Sectionals was not only Journeyless, it was awesomeness! I loved that so many people who never get showcased were. Quinn was just amazing on “Time of Your Life” and I have loved Santana’s vocals since her bit part in “Bad Romance” from season one.
In the end, the Warblers and New Directions tied one another, both are moving onto regionals. Let’s just hope Kurt jumps ship back to his old team before then.
Oh yes, I almost forgot . . . Emma Pillsbury went to Vegas with Uncle Jessie and they got married. WHAT! How dare she do this to Mr. Schue! I hope Uncle Jessie sings “Forever” to her until her ears bleed or she runs screaming from him and back to Mr. Schue!
OMG I totally forgot about that song, must have blocked it out. Nice ripped jeans Uncle Jesse. I wonder where Nicki & Alex are now?
