MARC SINGER TO GUEST STAR ON ABC’S “V”
Marc Singer, who played freedom fighter Mike Donovan on the original “V” series, will guest star in the Season Two finale. “V,” the thrilling drama series about the world’s first alien encounter that captivated viewers last season, will make its highly-anticipated season premiere on TUESDAY, JANUARY 4 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.
Singer will be playing a member of a top secret organization comprised of high-ranking military and government leaders from around the globe who have long suspected that the Visitors – despite what they tell us – are very much not here in peace.
Singer is the second original “V” cast member to appear in the new season. Jane Badler, who played Diana in the original series, is a recurring guest star this season as the mother of Anna (Morena Baccarin).

I have been really bad about posting my thoughts on “Parenthood.” It falls on a bad night for me, as I work late, and by time it comes on my attention span has usually waned a bit. I do my best to watch and pay attention though ๐
I think it sucks that Gordon/Billy Baldwin’s character is gone, at least for the time being. They did, unfortunately turn him into a big jerk at the end, with him selling the company and yet again putting giving the hard news to his employees on Adam’s shoulders. Why does he always play such jerks? It seemed like his interactions with Sarah’s kids were making him a better person, then he went and did what he did in the last episode. Blah! I think what sucks more is Sarah gave up Kevin Alejandro’s character for this?
Camille and Zeke’s marital woes seem to be getting worse than better. At first Zeke was the ass, and they keep trying to paint him as the ass (or Camille does), but I have found myself on Zeke’s side as of late. They have both cheated, they have both done wrong. No I do not think Zeke is out of line telling Camille she cannot take an art class with the guy she cheated with. Hello! She tried to make it about him not trusting her. Well first, they have a lot of broken trust going on. Second, how do you expect to get trust back when you continue to hang around the person you cheated with?
I loved seeing Renee interact with the Bravermans for Thanksgiving. I think she’s probably one of my favorite characters on the show. I did however feel bad for once for Julia and her pie disasters. Also Amber taking over the kitchen and kicking Julia out, telling her that Camille had warned her about her, was hilarious.
I guess that’s about all I have to say on the show. I can’t remember too much else that has been happening, other than Hattie’s love affair with the guy at the homeless shelter. I am waiting for something really bad to happen there . . . .
Private Practice: Charlotte Stands Strong!
Posted by Dustin on 11.25.2010 at 10:15 pm
So I’m a week late with these thoughts, but I knew there was no show this Thursday, so I wasn’t in a rush ๐ As I’m a week late, I’m trying to remember all that happened to comment . . .
Amelia and Addison worked together on a brain tumor case involving a mother and daughter. The mom was afraid to have the surgery, even if it could save her, because it might make things worse. In the end she agreed, as her daughter convinced her too because she was constantly living in fear of what could happen to her mom anyways. The best part of this story for me was seeing the actress who played Isabelle on “Weeds” in another role.
Pete’s brother asked him to try and help get their dying mother released from prison. He went to see her, and almost wrote the letter to the system to have her released . . . but soon realized she hadn’t changed a bit. She has no sense of right or wrong, no remorse, possibly no conscience. He simply left his mom and walked out of the prison hospital . . . . I can’t believe this is the last of this issue. They’ve made such an issue over Pete’s past for weeks now, so something else has to happen with this story. A revelation about Pete’s dad perhaps? He did mention something about never knowing who his dad was (or thinking he had died? I can’t recall).
Cooper was finally let in on Charlotte’s rape, basically being the last to be told. It also didn’t seem that he knew or even suspected, from how everything played out. Charlotte, after one failed attempt (out of fear), finally ID’d her rapist in a line-up as Cooper stood by her side. However from the previews, it looks like there is some kind of technicality coming up . . . . If there is no justice after all of this then well . . . I guess that is ironically to be expected from this show to be honest. I have to hope something will happen though to give Charlotte some peace . . . . and hopefully it won’t be Cooper killing the guy.
Grey’s Anatomy: Arizona Come Back Quickly!
Posted by Dustin on 11.22.2010 at 6:45 pm
Just some quick thoughts on last week’s “Grey’s Anatomy.”
Christina tending bar and getting drunk was hilarious, but at this point this sh….. has gotta stop. Other people went through horrific things that day too, some were shot, Meredith lost a baby. My ability to feel for Christina is wearing thin. I am hoping after giving lap dances and puking all night, Christina will begin to realize she either has to suck it up and go back to the hospital, or find something else that makes her happy. We know she’ll go back though.
Drunk Baily having a sex talk with April about Karev was amazing. Don’t let him take your ship on its maiden voyage! Then she went on and on about Jason George’s character from last season (who is now on ABC’s new medical show debuting sometime next year). I am guessing her rant was her way to get over him and try and move on. I just posted some casting blurbs, and it looks like Bailey’s next love interest will be a nurse on staff. I would love to at some point see a Bailey wedding.
Finally Arizona needs to get her butt back and quick! I did not like Mark and Lexie Callie hooking up at all. Yeah they were drunk, yeah both are still hurting over the ones they really love . . . but please!
Also the new Pedes guy (Stark?) is just a royal ass. Does a child have to die for the chief to fire his incompetent butt? Once again Alex (and Meredith) came to the rescue because he was too much of a jerk to do his job. Something tells me when Arizona does come back, we’ll find these two had some kind of history (like she was his intern at one point!).
ABC Early December Spoilers
Posted by Dustin on 11.22.2010 at 5:30 pm
Not much going on in December with TV. A lot of Christmas and Holiday specials, but a lot of preemptions of regular TV shows for them. It doesn’t look like we’ll get much past the 15th or so – and so far nothing on a “Grey’s/Practice” holiday themed episode yet . . .
– On “Castle,” Castle considers opening his own bar?
– On “No Ordinary Family,” George is hailed as a hero when people think he, not Jim, stopped a robbery.
– On “Desperate Housewives,” Gabby learns her mom’s secret, while Paul’s plan goes into effect on the lane.
– On “Brothers and Sisters,” Nora runs away for Christmas, and Richard Chamberlain returns as an old lover of Sauls, who may have been the one to infect him with HIV.

Glee: Kurts New Man, And The Closeted Jock
Posted by Dustin on 11.21.2010 at 6:52 pm
So I re-watched the last two episodes of “Glee” last night and wanted to make some comments.
I am happy to see Kurt finally get a boyfriend, I just don’t know if I like Blaine yet or not. I get that he’s supposed to be out there, and everything Kurt would like to be . . . but I feel like he’s pushy in some way. I also have a feeling that Kurt is going to jump ship from McKinley to Bates Academy. I don’t want to see Kurt on the other side.
The jock who has been bullying Kurt turning out to be gay was the “Woah!” moment of the season, possibly the series. I never saw that coming! I have a feeling though it will lead to something bad for Kurt. Frankly I’d out the guy the next time he beat on me in the hallway.
Poor Mercedes, still hung up on Kurt, or using him as a boyfriend crutch. However her going out with him and Blaine and the whole “Gay gay gay gay, Oh My God I opened my mouth and a little purse fell out” routine was great.
I loved that in the latest episode Sue was bested by the Beast, who noted if she (as acting principal) was doing away with the football team, her Cheerios would have nobody to cheer for.
Gweneth Paltrow as Holly Holiday was amazing, and I really hope they can bring her back at some point. I swore Emma was supposed to be jealous of her, but Emma wasn’t even in the episode.
Someone who was, and who was jealous was Will’s ex-wife Teri. In a moment of weakness, brought on by Will’s cold, they did the nasty bed boogie. Why why why do I have the feeling Teri is gunna end up pregers for real this time?
Next week Sue’s mom (Carol Burnett!) comes to town and there is a big Glee wedding, which appears to be Finn’s mom and Kurt’s dad. Yay!

I’ve just been so busy I haven’t had time to post some of these tidbits, so I’m doing them all in one big post. These are for several shows.

The Big C – Post Season Thoughts
Posted by Dustin on 11.17.2010 at 9:17 am
Just some thoughts on “The Big C,” which finished it’s first season this Monday. I watched the whole thing, though often forgot about it and had to watch on demand. However I just loved it!
Some brief thoughts on the show and the season . . . .
I never thought Kathy and Paul would get back together, nor did I really want to see them together, but it was sweet that they did in the end. At the same time, it’s clear her doctor is confused over his feelings for her . . . I sense a possible triangle in the future perhaps? I’m not sure as the season finale seemed to have Kathy and Paul in a good place.
I was not a fan much of Kathy’s brother’s storyline with Cynthia Nixon much. I didn’t get the need for it really. However at the end with them having a baby, it made some sense. As Kathy may be going out, a new life is coming in.
I missed Andrea the last few episodes, and would like to have seen some resolution to her character. I’m guessing she completes Summer school. I really hope she’s back next year, she was one of my favorites.
I was STUNNED that they killed Marlene! STUNNED! She was so funny, and I did not see it coming. I would like to see her back next year too, but I guess she’ll have to be a ghost. Maybe Kathy can see her at certain times, like when her treatment is making her weak.
The end with Adam finding all the car and all the presents his mom had been buying him was heartbreaking, yet perfect!
It will be a long wait till next season sadly.
Oh, I completely gave up on “Weeds.” I just lost the desire and honestly can’t believe at this point the show was renewed for yet another season.
Posted by Dustin on 11.17.2010 at 12:56 am
Well we kinda knew this was coming. I had expected this to be the last season of “Medium” from the get-go, but CBS has gone and cut the order down to a half a season, ending the show earlier than anticipated.
Star Patricia Arquette has told Entertainment Weekly that the show has been canceled and they have two final episodes to film – and not even she knows how things will end.
Last season in an episode that went into the future, Allison was the District Attorney while her boss was the Mayor of Phoenix. The latest episode to air hinted this was in fact the direction the show is going, possibly giving us closure. Devalos had just put his hat in to run for Mayor, and Allison has decided to return to law school.
ABC Spoilers: It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!
Posted by Dustin on 11.15.2010 at 8:50 pm
ABC shows seem to be trickling back in the first week of December, after a good break due to the Thanksgiving holidays. Here are some highlights . . . .
– On “No Ordinary Family,” Jim and Stephanie try and have an ordinary anniversary, but fail.
– Scott Foley begins a guest gig on “Grey’s Anatomy,” but the real fun is Derek and Christina’s fishing trip together!
– It looks like Charlotte’s case against her rapist may be falling apart on “Private Practice.” Meanwhile JoBeth Williams returns as Addison’s gay mom.
– On “Desperate Housewives,” Paul’s plan is revealed, while Renee tells Susan a deep dark secret (about Tom?)
– Kevin and Scotty finalize an adoption on “Brothers and Sisters!”
