Medium Thoughts + Spoilers for October
Posted by Dustin on 10.04.2010 at 11:43 am
So “Medium” returned and two new episodes have aired on CBS. Sadly it’s not the only thing I watch on Friday nights now that “Ghost Whisperer” is gone. So far I’m enjoying it as much as ever. I really liked that the first two shows featured Bridget and Marie so prominently, as Arial got a lot of airplay last season. Though it looks like based on the previews (and spoilers below) she’s back in the forefront next week. I also liked seeing Joe at work, but actually miss crazy Keith as his boss.
The season premier episode, with Bridget and Allison switching bodies, I thought was pretty predictable in terms of the killer (homeless guys son). This last week with the park strangler I was pleasantly surprised because there were two killers using the same M.O.
Spoilers for the next two episodes below!

Grey’s and Private Practice: Episode 2
Posted by Dustin on 10.02.2010 at 9:35 pm
I don’t know, as of yet I’m not in love with either show. They haven’t done anything to really grab me into the new season.
On “Grey’s” I am digging that Mark wants Lexie back and is hoping to fight for her. Yay! I would like to see the back together, but clearly it will take Lexie a little more time I think since she tried to move on with Alex.
I HATED that they made Yang, after a post-traumatic stress incident, try to dump Owen and call their marriage off. It was just such a predictable Yang thing to do, that I wish they had surprised us and not done that. I just groaned.
I did like that Meredith told Derek about the miscarriage, and hopefully his hot shot racing days are over. The fact that she left him in jail and he got pissed on was kinda funny.
I would like to see, what we keep being told we’ll see, Derek and Meredith’s house on the hill being built.
On “Private Practice” I found myself annoyed with Charlotte and Pete wanting Cooper and Violet to cool their friendship down a bit. I guess I do see their sides, but they knew going in that these two were BFFs. I think had the BFFs been of the same sex, there would not have been as much of an issue.
The story with the transexual was just heartbreaking, and at the end, painful to watch!
I did like that Naomi, who now controls millions of dollars and William’s practice in the event of his death, suggested finally merging the two practice. I also loved that nobody really cared as much, and Sheldon liked that he’d get a kitchenette finally.
I miss Fife and hope they bring him back for Naomi. As I understand, the actor is (or was) actually working on a play and that’s why he’s been MIA.
Next week I’m hoping for some good stuff as Amelia shows up at Seattle Grace, and we learn why Derek cut her out of his life . . . . .*SPOILER!* Apparently she fell in with the wrong crowd for awhile and got heavy into drugs.
Wonder Woman Returns To TV?
Posted by Dustin on 10.02.2010 at 8:38 pm
Producer David E. Kelley, known for shows like “Chicago Hope,” “Boston Legal” and “Ally McBeal” has signed on to produce a new modern take on “Wonder Woman” for the WB.
It would seem that the show will probably fill the gap “Smallville” leaves when it goes off the air after this season.
A movie version of the heroine has been in the works for 10+ years now, with everyone from Angelina Jolie to Lucy Lawless rumored to be up for the role at times.
Who will play her on TV is unknown, or if the show will even make it past the pilot stage. Given all the trouble the movie has had becoming a reality, I won’t hold my breath for the TV show.
Should it make it to TV, it will be a really hard sell. Who could actually play Wonder Woman? How will they make the character their own, when comparisons to Lynda Carter are going to be inevitable.

So I decided to finally add “Fringe” to my list of shows I blog about. I probably won’t blog about it weekly, but from time to time. I probably haven’t seen every episode from Season 1 and 2, but enough to know what was going on. Season 3 definitely has a more connected feel to the episodes.
Right now however I’m frustrated. I hate the FauxLivia story! I don’t like that the real Olivia also has been brainwashed on the other side into thinking that is where she belongs. The longer they drag this out, the more frustrated I know I’ll become 🙂
I am beginning to think that Walter crossing over to get Peter did not start this chain reaction destroying the other world as we are lead to believe. I think something else happened long before that, and I think Walternate is probably involved. He seems to be the one constantly making it known they are at war with our side and we are the bad guys, not them.
Then there is the weapon Walternate is building, pieces of which seem to be on both sides. Yeah, like I said, perhaps it was this weapon that started the other side’s breakdown? Whose technology is it also. Massive Dynamic, or those Watcher Peoples? I never saw the episode explaining the Watcher Guys fully, so I am lost on them. I guess I need to go read up a bit.
