Private Practice’s Upcoming Shocker Storyline
Posted by Dustin on 10.13.2010 at 7:20 pm
Ausiello has been hinting at this, but today confirmed the story. The last show of the month will have Charlotte King brutally attacked and rape, a story which will lead to repercussions lasting throughout the rest of the season.
For me this storyline is make-it-or-break-it for the show. My interest hasn’t been there this season, or much of last. I don’t like Sam and Addison together and they’ve been dominating the show. This could change it and make the show great, or it could be Violet 2.0 and just make the show sink further (for me that is). I hated Violet’s storyline last year, so if they just have a repeat of that, I don’t think I’ll be worried so much if I miss an episode of “Private Practice” in the future.

Housewives and The Walkers: October 10th
Posted by Dustin on 10.12.2010 at 12:01 am
As usual, some thoughts on the major storylines for each of the shows . . .
Desperate Housewives
This week Paul’s jail-order-bride learned all the girls on the block thought he murdered Martha Huber, Felecia’s sister. She continues to play the game with Paul, acting like the loving wife . . . I’m waiting for her to try and run or kill him. I won’t be surprised if she ends up buried in the back yard soon.
Bree and Renee went out to a bar together, and Renee was way to interested in Keith, even taking him home. Bree created an emergency to call Keith away, causing a war between her and Renee. Oh dear! Why do they always seem to have Bree in a war with someone on this show? I do hope Bree and Keith work out though. She is overdue for some kind of a good man.
Gabby let her curiosity get the better of her and had Bob find her biological daughter. Unfortunately when they learned what happened . . . . well Bob says they didn’t take the news well. Carlos was furious, telling Gabby if they lost Juanita then it would be over between them. Just like Bree, why is their marriage always in trouble! I really liked that they were solid, but I guess they’ve been happy for just a little too long for TV land.
Susan got into a spat with one of the other cam girls, for stealing her bit; while Lynette replaced Tom’s medical marijuana for his depression with oregano. These were the comedic filler storylines. I really wanna know how Tom couldn’t identify oregano when he owned that stupid pizza parlor!
Brothers and Sisters
Kevin seemed to own this episode, as he was just hilarious in all his scenes.
Kitty was trying to find herself in Ojai, and found herself interested in a hunky handy-man (Chase from “Army Wives.”) It’s nice seeing the actor playing a nice guy, but I get the feeling based on some spoilers that came out today from Ausiello that she’ll be moving on to a new man soon. Boo! But I guess we can’t expect her to settle down with the first guy after Robert.
Sarah, feeling old and lying to Luc about her age, and Nora, also feeling old, visited a plastic surgeon. Again Kevin stole the show when he found out and Sarah began helping him see what his face could look like with some work.
Sarah tried to get the whole family to keep her big lie up with Luc, but he knew the whole time. He said he had seen her drivers license, and in France men don’t talk about women’s ages, so he went along with it.
Rebecca made her return in this episode . . . and frankly she can go away as far as I’m concerned. We learned that Rebecca and Justin are in fact divorced, she filed while he was still in Afghanistan. I know Justin isn’t guilt free in their relationship problems, but that was just a crummy thing to do on her part. I really loath her right now!
Rebecca visited with Holly, and it seemed to go okay, until she freaked out half way through the visit and didn’t know why Rebecca kept calling her mom. The show ended with Holly going missing and David calling the cops! Where oh where has Holly gone? I’m actually really loving Holly’s story this year. Normally I just want to strangle her.
Grey’s Anatomy and The Sam and Addison Show
Posted by Dustin on 10.09.2010 at 9:46 pm
So this week was a crossover episode of “Grey’s” and “Private Practice,” with Derek’s little sister showing up in Seattle to see him, though he really wasn’t thrilled. We learned she used to be a druggy basically.
I did get a lot of chuckles out of this episode, thanks to Christina mostly. I loved the look on Derek’s face when he woke up with her in their bed. Even better was his “ET” explanation to Hunt, that Christina and Meredith had the same connection E.T. and Elliot did, and they have to just accept it.
This episode did something I thought was impossible . . . they made that annoying April likable! Everyone was teasing her for being a virgin at her age, and at the end she let them all have it, telling them all the things they were ignoring about themselves (or oblivious to). As Meredith said “Oh April, I’m beginning to like you!”
Derek mentioned building the dream house, which I liked hearing. Now if we could just SEE it.
The major let down, of course, was McSteamy sexing it up with Derek’s sister, and being seen by Lexie, who had just been told by April that Mark was still in love with her.
As for “Private Practice,” I feel like Sam and Addison are now not only being shoved down my throat, but now the show is trying to write back stories to somehow make us feel that they are more believable. This show dealt with the return of Dell’s drunk driving killer, which brought up memories of a child molester Sam let die on the table years before. Of course only Addison knew this secret, so we are to believe it’s a reason they are oddly bonded. Whatever!
The best part of the episode was Naomi basically telling Addison she was a cheater and a crummy friend, something Sheldon pushed her to do to make herself feel better. However I got the bizarre feeling they might try and put Sheldon and Naomi together as a couple. Let me just say that will make me really turn this show off for good.
Next Week Dell’s daughter Betsy returns, and it seemed like she wanted to live with Cooper. Charlotte is NOT going to go for that, but frankly at this point it’s about the only thing I have to look forward on the Sam and Addison Show.
Project Runway: Karma Is A Bitch!
Posted by Dustin on 10.08.2010 at 8:23 pm
Last night’s “Project Runway” was pretty epic. In fact I got two amazing chuckles.
In an episode where Heidi was the client, past contestants were brought back to work with current ones to help them with the challenge. Poor Michael C said he’d rather have worked on his own because everyone of course hates him.
Unfortunately one of the people brought back was Ivy. Ivy then proceeded to accuse Michael C of cheating in one of the challenges. She, and others, even said they went to the producer the next day with the claim, but by then it was too late. Their claim was that he apparently used some kind of tape to put together his outfit. He had said to the camera (interview) that the model used the tape on some sticky-boob cup things, and had he taped his outfit together he would have not left evidence around.
Okay first, am I watching the right show here? Because I know damn well I’ve seen outfits go down the runways AND be called out for being stapled, safety pinned and every other form of last minute screwed up construction! So what if he used tape?
Tim basically put Ivy in her place for this accusation, and then so did the universe (probably with some editing help). She went on this rant about how Michael C was a horrible person, his family should be ashamed to watch him on this show, and she believed Karma would get him. Then we saw her sewing machine attack her and nearly put her eye out! . . . . . . I know one shouldn’t laugh at a serious accident, but Ivy is nasty and it was funny (and I suspect good editing).
The other amazing part of this episode was when Heidi basically called Gretchen out on the runway for being completely unable to take criticism. She even did this hilarious impersonation of her as a grumpy gorilla! Gretchen was convinced Heidi hates her. Hey Gretchen . . . . don’t look on twitter cause it’s not just Heidi! She is just as nasty as Heidi and I really wish she was sent home last night.
Unfortunately Christopher was sent home. I think Gretchen should have gone, in part because of her horrid attitude this whole season, but she brings the drama and I think the show likes having that.
I also found myself once again NOT agreeing with the judges. The contestants were supposed to be making active wear for Heidi’s line, but in fact this is not really active wear people are working out in. It’s “throw this on and look trendy running errands in” wear. The judges thought April’s outfits were great, though she didn’t win. I thought they looked like lingerie personally. I thought for sure she’d be in the bottom, but she wasn’t.

Brothers and Sisters: The Nora is NOT a Lesbian Episode!
Posted by Dustin on 10.07.2010 at 11:27 pm
So it’s been several days, and I’m doing my best to remember this past week’s “Brothers and Sisters.” Sorry for the way delayed post here! Here are my thoughts on the show (what I could elaborate on based on the tweets I sent out that night!)
The kids focused on Nora in this episode and her “secret.” Kitty used her mom as a distraction from her own issues, and thought her mother had become a lesbian. Probably the best part of the show was when Scotty googled gay grandma porn on Kevin’s phone by accident and the whole family saw.
Nora did come out to her family . . . as a florist. She didn’t want to tell them that money had been a little tight as of late. She then put them all in their places, which got her an audition for a radio show host job. Nora definitely got her voice back!
Kevin and Scotty helped the juvenile delinquent Kevin defended and helped place him with his grandma. That’s it? I thought for sure this story would drag out, maybe lead to them adopting him. Perhaps it will lead to that with another kid?
Finally I LOVED Justin and Holly’s new relationship, with him helping her try and remember what she’s lost. However I HATED the way David treated Justin, like he was public enemy number 1. First, I think we need to remember Holly is alive because of him! Second, while I hated that Justin quit school and went back to war, it was what he needed to do to heal as he explained. That Rebecca couldn’t accept this annoyed me, especially after it seems Justin has been accepting of all Rebecca’s drama and issues for years now. Yeah, how soon we forgot how Rebecca’s way of healing after the miscarriage was completely shutting Justin out of her life! When you think about it, her leaving him and hiding from him really isn’t out of character. I will be glad to see her go at this point.
9021….Oh No Teddy Did Not Use The F Word!
Posted by Dustin on 10.06.2010 at 9:41 pm
Lots of drama on “90210” this week!
Annie had a change of heart and decided to sell her eggs to her boss. Why? Because her mom is having trouble making ends meet. I was sure the boss would blackmail Annie somehow.
Adrianna’s storyline took the predictable route, with Javier’s sleazy uncle becoming her manager and raping her of every dollar she made for him. I can’t say I feel all that sorry for her, she did steal from a dead guy. However I hate this story all together, so I feel sorry for myself and others who have to put up with it.
Annie and Adrianna found out about Naomi’s rape when Silver broke her promise and finally told them. Naomi wasn’t too upset, and now it seems the girls are united in getting revenge. I smell a sting operation and a youtube video coming up!
Teddy remained closeted, lashing out at his Down-Low lover in public using “the other F word.” They also got into a fight, and Mr. Matthews assigned them to detention together. Um, yeah, that’s what they need . . . to be alone together for 2 weeks. I see Mr. Matthews walking in on something shocking! The one good thing from Teddy’s F-bomb is that Silver dumped his ass for good. I guess now he won’t totally break her heart when he comes out of the closet.
Finally crazy adult lady who dated Dixon last season came back. In part Oliver seemed to put her up to coming in between him and Ivy. But the show ended with a bomb . . . she’s HIV positive. Is Dixon now too? Or is this another lie paid for by sleazy Oliver?
Desperate Housewives: Tom Has ANOTHER Secret?
Posted by Dustin on 10.05.2010 at 10:31 pm
So it’s a day or so late, but here are my thoughts (and what mini-summary you can get from them) on the latest episode of “Desperate Housewives.” I have to say so far, I’m loving the show this season!
Renee decided to move into Eddie’s vacant house on Wisteria Lane. She also got a little too involved in Tom and Lynette’s latest marriage woes. Tom had post partum depression! Lynette of course was NOT sympathetic. As the show ended, we learned apparently long ago Renee and Tom had a thing. WHAT! Seriously Tom? Really? I had just forgotten about the last bomb you dropped, that Satanic child named Kayla. Now this? Is he at all capable of keeping it in his pants?
Paul’s “wife” arrived on the lane. Turns out she was one of those girls who gets, um, turned on by writing letters to jail birds and having fantasies. She never thought he’d get out and want to go through with the marriage! Now for some reason she’s married and stuck in a relationship with him. This.Will.Not.End.Well!
Susan’s story this week was actually funny and not cringe worthy! Her getting caught by Mike doing the cam show, then him thinking she was making a man’s fantasy come true and wanting to get it on, was hilarious. Lanie Kazzan was also amazing teaching her how to clean the smudges off the table!
I really enjoyed the glimpse into Bree’s past which gave us insite into why she’s so sexually uptight. Here is hoping things work out for her and Keith though, she really needs a good man after all the duds she’s had.
Bree, while staring at Keith’s ass, backed into Juanita. Probably the best line of the show was Gabby asking Bree and Andrew if they were trying to run over every Juanita Solis on the planet? Juanita was okay, but at the hospital Gabby learned from a nurse that her and Carlos’ blood types did not make Juanita’s. I guess at this point we have to suspend reality and pretend like this had NEVER been noticed until this point. Yeah, it is TV. Gabby feared she must have gotten drunk and slept with this French guy on a ski trip, but by shows end Carlos told her the truth.
I cannot wait till next week to see how Gabby and Carlos handle this. As the previews stated, if they pursue it, they could lose Juanita. Something tells me Gabby will have to know the truth though and will stir things up without trying to.
