90210 Season 3 Premier Thoughts
Posted by Dustin on 09.14.2010 at 3:38 pm
Wow a great premier for “90210” last night, which totally made up for the suckfest that was last seasons finale.
Adrianna found out she was being dropped from that guy’s tour, and possibly her record label, cause her first song didn’t hit the top 20. They got into a car crash though as he was dumping her, he died, and she stole his song book of new songs he was writing. She plans to use them to woo Laurel into not dumping her. This story is going to annoy me. I bet she’s going to be “haunted” by him in her dreams or something. Also in this day and age, how many of these teen pop stars write their own songs? Yeah, not that many!
Teddy hurt his knee, and now may be out of tennis for the year, or for good. I am guessing this is the catalyst which will push Teddy out of a lot of things, including the closet. I really wanna see how they are gunna pull this one off.
Annie somehow got house arrest for the summer for her hit-and-run that killed someone. Drunk driving and manslaughter and she got house arrest? Well only on TV! She also ended up with a job where her boss plans to use her for something. Not good, cause this will be strike two on her record if it’s illegal, and my guess is it is. Meanwhile Annie doesn’t want to date Liam, cause he is Naomi’s ex, and they are BFFs again. I like them together, but don’t like Annie always going for Naomi’s guys.
Mr Matthews own drunk driving incident from the finale seems to have just been totally forgotten. Jen was no where to be seen either, but he was calling her at one point threatening to get a lawyer to see his kid. Also he shaved, which makes him look younger than the kids he teaches (which in real life he is!). Time to grow the beard back Mr. Matthews!
Ivy and her mom Laurel brought an Aussie guy home, who I think was named Oliver? I can’t recall. Basically he graduated high school, but his grades were too lousy to get into a university, so he’s doing a “Post Grad” year to up his grades. I am fairly certain there is no such thing! Anyways not only is he hot for Ivy, but is sleeping with her mom too. YUCK!
Finally Noami has been dealing with Mr. Cannon raping her at the end of last year. She thought he had left West Bev, but he’s back! This caused her to freak out. She tried to report the rape, but after being advised that her past with him would lead to a messy trial, she didn’t want to dig it up. Meanwhile he is apparently Silver’s Senior Advisor. Yeah we can see where this story is leading. I swear they did a similar serial rapist story on the original “90210,” or maybe it was “Melrose Place.”

After the jump are some spoilers for the second week of ABC shows, including “Castle,” “Housewives,” “Brothers and Sisters” and the new show “No Ordinary Family.” I plan on watching this one, and hopefully it won’t suffer the curse of most of the new shows I adopt and get cut!

Quick Project Runway Thoughts
Posted by Dustin on 09.13.2010 at 5:36 pm
It’s been awhile since I did a “Runway” post. Still watching, still loving it, still wondering WHAT on earth the judges think some of the times.
This week was no exception. While Casanova’s dress did look like “Golden Girls” beach wear, it was at least nice. Ivy just designed a wrap, which ironically she and everyone else on this show keep bitching Michael C always does.
Why keep Ivy? The same reason they kept “team leader/taker-over” Gretchen a few weeks back, drama! I think someone at the show didn’t want to lose the drama factor, and Gretchen and Ivy seem to bring it.
Right now I just want to see little Michael C keep wining only because so many people on the show seem to hate him.
True Blood Season Finale Thoughts
Posted by Dustin on 09.13.2010 at 3:06 pm
Wow, what a finale last night! I’m not yet sure how I feel about it all. I don’t think it’s all sunk in.
As with past season finales, we were left with a cliff hanger. Actually several this time around.
I did not like Bill leading Queen Sophie Anne into a trap at the end, and the two going into a “Matrix-like” final fight. I don’t want either to die, I like both characters! We know they can’t kill Bill, but Sophie Anne ???
I was REALLY not a fan of Bill double-crossing Eric and burying him in the cement with Russell, and then trying to off Pam. Nobody hurts Pammy! They really made Bill look evil by the end of this finale, especially when a freed Eric exposed all his lies to Sookie . . . including that he uses/set the Ratrains up in the first show to get close to Sookie.
How did Eric escape the cement tomb? If he got out . . . what about Russell?
I loved Tara’s new look, but hated that she felt the need to try and run away at the end of the show. Something tells me she’s going to run into more trouble.
Jason’s story annoyed me. Crystal gets kidnapped by her half-brother/supposed-husband and Jason gets left to take care of the inbred-hillbilly bunch? I am guessing this is going to force Jason to grow up some, but I didn’t like it.
Sam finally told Tara he was a shapeshifter, which she didn’t like too much. He then learned Tommy made off with all his money and chased him down. He had a gun pointed him at the end of the show. Tommy didn’t think he’d fire, but he did. Do we think Sam shot him? My guess is no, he wouldn’t make the same mistake twice that has clearly been haunting him. I however would not miss Tommy!
Jesus confessed to Lafayette that he was a witch too, and that the V had clearly opened something up in Lafayette, who know seems to have a sixth sense and can sense spirits and other stuff around people. That might be interesting, but is also a little too close to Sookie’s powers in a way.
Sookie meanwhile threw Bill and Eric out of her life at the end of the show. I thought she was going to run off to Alcide, but she ran to her fairy godmother Claudine and they vanished to somewhere . . . fairyland? That was a cliff hanger I really liked I have to say, cause at least you know it can’t end badly!

Big Brother: Final HOH Part 2 Winner
Posted by Dustin on 09.09.2010 at 8:50 pm
Lane won the second part of final HOH competition. That means the third part will be fought by Hayden and Lane. That also probably means Enzo will be evicted this week, because both Hayden and Lane know they have no chance at winning sitting next to Enzo . . . . he’s too well liked.
Ragan headed to the Jury House, which really was the only entertaining part of this show. He learned about Matt’s lie, and was clearly upset by this. Kathy apparently has been avoiding Matt in the Jury house. Then he and Rachel got into an annoying fight. Rachel blew up at him when he once again told her that she was the cause of all the drama and fights in the house for the entire season.
Frankly, I’d rather Big Brother switch the feeds to the Jury House at this point. It is more entertaining than the regular house. With Britney coming in these week it will really be interesting.
Big Brother: Final HOH Battle Begins, Oh And Britney Gets The Boot
Posted by Dustin on 09.08.2010 at 7:48 pm
Tonight’s show was pre-taped yesterday, and the spoilers about it already came out on the net thanks to people who were in the live studio audience at the show.
Hayden won the HOH and Britney got the boot by Enzo, who was the sole vote.
Before Britney went, the guys sat her down and basically told her about the Brigade, the whole shebang, how they’ve been controlling the house for weeks. They also told her why they gave Matt the boot, and basically let her know she was going home this week.
Britney was of course crushed, felt played, felt stupid and felt used by Lane.
The first of the final 4 HOH comps was held yesterday, even though it didn’t finish on air. It involved them having to hang from vines as they were swung around the yard.
The feeds have been blocked since early yesterday, so they should be back at some point tonight and we should know who won the first part.
It’s also America’s Choice vote, so you can go to CBS.com to vote for free.
