Army Wives: Reporting For Duty!

Army Wives: Reporting For Duty!

So I really liked last night’s “Army Wives.” Much more drama filled than some of the previous episodes, yet also not a total downer.

Claudia Joy, as part of her class, had to participate in a real trial her law professor worked on. Of course he chose her for a case involving a citizens group suing the army over a dump site that was toxic. Claudia Joy of course rocked it in the court room when she was put on the spot, and put the army on the spot. While I liked seeing Claudia Joy in the court room . . . really? Do we really think this would have happened? The professor using Claudia Joy to his advantage in the case . . . okay maybe. However I would think the army would have raised some objections as to Claudia Joy being on the opposing council. I know I know . . . it’s TV! I also have some bizarre feeling once school is over she’ll somehow be working in the JAGs office.

Pam and Roxy had issues this week over Pam and her new partner busting Roxy speeding in her death mobile (the mustang with the broken windshield, speedometer, taillight, etc . . . .) It was great to see Lee Tergesen back on TV as Pam’s partner. What I was confused about was that Pam is once again a Rookie, I guess because she’s been gone so long? However she talked about how she had put a few years in on the force in Boston and then that’s when she quit . . . okay didn’t they make it a point to say in the past that she was a Detective, not a rookie? That annoyed me for the whole episode honestly.

Jeremy was back in this episode to look after Denise while Frank was away, and to help turn his old room into the baby nursery. Not really much to comment on this filler of a story.

Joan meanwhile continued to forget more and more things. Denise and Rolland both discussed the problems they’ve noticed in her as well. As the show ended, Joan fell to the floor while holding Sarah Elizabeth. She shielded Sarah Elizabeth from being hurt, but Joan had to admit to Roland something was really wrong. Next week we should learn what is going on with Joan. I’m on the edge of my seat with this one. This is the story I’m really enjoying, though I know it’s odd to enjoy a story when someone is sick. But hey, it’s TV!
