Pretty Little Liars: The Jenna Thing
So in the latest episode we learned a couple things about the girls past. First the detective doesn’t believe the girls don’t know what happened to Alison the night she went missing. They are lying about their story because they were all drinking and having fun and at the time didn’t want to get busted. Now they are stuck sticking to their story, and the cop doesn’t buy it.
Jenna returned to school and we learned that apparently she is in fact blind, and it is Allison’s fault. This neighborhood creeper (Jenna’s brother, this I am not sure of) was peeping on the girls one night during their parties. Allison wanted to teach him a lesson by throwing a smoke bomb into his garage. Well apparently something, a lot of somethings flammable were in there, and the garage went up in flames. It would seem this is how Jenna got blinded?
The girls have been bonding over their “A” messages, as well as worried about the return of Jenna. Aria is still dealing with her teacher affair, Spencer is kissing her sisters boyfriend and her sister caught her, Hannah’s mother has become a stepford wife to appease her new guy, and Emily feels something is wrong for her because she likes girls a little too much.
By the end of the episode Spencer was jogging and came around the corner to see Jenna sitting on a bench. She picked up her phone and spoke “Send Text Now” into it. Is Jenna the mysterious “A?” She did confide that Allison visited her in the hospital several times . . . did Allison tell all their secrets? Or has the girl who moved into Allison’s house somehow found her diary with them all?
This is such a fun show and I’m really liking it. I have to admit, I also got the first book. I am not far at all, and there are some difference between the two (such as Allison was missing for 3 years in the book, not just 1). I can give a tiny spoiler on the night Allison disappeared, should you want to know that much . . . .
The girls were having a sleepover the night Allison went missing in the book. She got it in her head to hypnotise them all, something she “learned.” The book says Allison was always making them do stupid things only she could get them to do. Spencer however put up a fight and wouldn’t, eventually telling Allison to take a hike if she had a problem. Allison said fine, walked out the door, and was never seen again . . . .
loving this show.
