Claudia Joy took Emma Lynn on a college campus tour, only to run into an old law school friend. It was clearly obvious where this story was headed. By the end of the episode she told Michael she wanted to finish her law degree, and he supported her choice.

I think it would be interesting to see Claudia Joy finish school. I liked this idea when it arose last season, but then she just dropped the whole thing. I want to see Claudia Joy have an identity of her own that isn’t just an army wife. All the others have other things going on, so should she.

Pam met with a woman on base about divorcing Chase and what she’d be left with in terms of benefits, as well as how it would impact the kids. It wasn’t good news, not at all. By the end of the show, after her daughter overheard a comment Pam made to Roxy, we got the feeling that Pam was going to suck things up for the sake of her kids. I am just hoping Chase steps up and makes the right decision in the end!

Trevor had his hands full with one of his high school recruits from last season, who before shipping out panicked and almost went AWAL. Trevor quickly took control, but the whole thing made him realize that these people were human beings and not just recruits and he had to remember that in the future. Not a fan at all of this storyline honestly, but we won’t get into it because then this blog will get all political 🙂

Finally Roland worked overtime trying to make the perfect princess party for Sara Elizabeth, which Joan was supposed to watch live via the net. However issues came up and Joan was called away and had to miss it. The show ended with her and Roland talking and him using the webcam so she could wish Sara Elizabeth a happy first birthday.

Next week it looks like Joan comes home, and Michael’s mother (or aunt, I forget which) appears for the first of two episodes. It’s guest star Anne Margaret! Something is going on, she has some secret she’s kept, and it looks juicy!
