Ugly Betty: Daniel And Betty Sitting In A Tree?
Posted by Dustin on 04.07.2010 at 11:51 pm
Tonight’s “Ugly Betty” was soooooooo good! I can’t believe there is only one episode left.
Justin finally came out, inviting his boyfriend Austin to his mom’s wedding. The secret he was so afraid of was already known, and it was nothing big. However Hilda wanted to throw him the gayest coming out party ever, which Mark put a stop to, informing them Justin had to pick the time to come out to them.
Willy tried to use Tyler, convincing him to claim his shares of Mead then sell them to her to get rich and leave town, of course leaving her with controlling interest. However her plan didn’t work, Tyler was a mean and nasty drunk, far worse than she imagined. He stole a gun and went to confront Claire! Willy however stepped in the way and talked him out of it, but when she went to take the gun . . . BAM! It went off. I can’t see them killing off Willy . . . but I guess given all she’s done in this show . . .
Amanda took on a new client she tried to set up with a depressed Mark, but Mark learned a thing or two about him . . . like he has the tweety bird tattoo that Amanda’s father supposedly had.
The big story though was what was going on between Daniel and Betty. Henry returned, after being drunk dialed and invited to the wedding by Betty, who had planned to just take Daniel. Daniel ended up asking this girl he had been seeing. Betty hated her, saying she made Daniel act dumb. Daniel didn’t like Henry, thinking Betty was going backwards. In the end they both realized each other was right. Henry is gone, both he and Betty agreed it wasn’t the right time for them. Daniel just agreed that the girl he was seeing was dumb.
Betty and Daniel had all these moments in this episode, including one where Daniel seemed to have this epiphany that he might love Betty. She was giving Justin some advice about love and when things are right, which made Daniel just seem to sparkly. However Betty is poised to move to London and help start a magazine with a guy who offered her a job.
Ahhhhhh! How are they going to wrap this all up? I loved Betty and Daniel in this episode, so I want the hint that there is going to be a future for them. I am also hoping we’ll get to see Alexis return for the final episode as well.
Another Pivital True Blood Role Cast!
Posted by Dustin on 04.07.2010 at 4:12 pm
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ half-sister Lauren Bowles has been cast in the role of Holly, a mother of two who begins working at Merlotte’s. In the books she is a Wiccan and becomes a major character, finding romance with Hoyt.
Meanwhile, in the latest “Waiting Sucks” in production promo, Tara finds herself trapped in a house and cornered by a vampire. She screams “Let me go!” as he says “Not gunna happen” and looks to go in for the bite. However the character is not a vampire, but the werewolf Alcide, who seems to be playing with Tara.

Private Practice: April 22nd Spoiler
Posted by Dustin on 04.06.2010 at 3:28 pm
I guess ABC and networks are saving a lot of shows for May sweeps. There are a lot of reruns in April across the board it seems. Anyways, here is the next new “Private Practice,” not airing till April 22nd! I assume this is when there will also be a new “Grey’s,” but as of yet no release for it.
VIOLET IS BACK HOME AND NO ONE KNOWS WHAT TO EXPECT, ESPECIALLY ADDISON, ON ABC’S “PRIVATE PRACTICE”
“Second Choices” – After her open-ended escape to Costa Rica, Violet has finally returned home and to the practice. Everyone treads a little lightly around her, especially Pete and Addison who have mixed feelings about Violet’s desire to reconnect with Lucas. Meanwhile Amelia butts into Sam’s personal life, pointing out that he can mend hearts in the OR but can’t seem to do that for himself; and Sheldon encourages Charlotte to reconcile with Cooper, while Cooper deals with a young patient who eats everything in sight, on “Private Practice,” THURSDAY, APRIL 22 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Guest cast includes Caterina Scorsone as Amelia, Brian Benben as Sheldon, Bobby Coleman as Oliver, Perrey Reeves as Kelly, Ken Wilder as Scott, Aaron Ashmore as Carl, Camille Chen as Lucia.
United States of Tara: Season 2
Posted by Dustin on 04.06.2010 at 12:08 am
So “United States of Tara” returned to Showtime. The first episode I was a bit bored with, the second one I felt was better. The third episode of the season just aired, which again I felt was a so-so episode. I thought I should post some thoughts before the season ends 🙂 It looks like there is no new episode next week, but rather a catch-up marathon.
First, I hate the affair Buck is having with Pammy. HATE it. I guess I also hate that they made Buck have the affair rather than someone like T. I guess we are supposed to somehow think because there is no pokey pokey going on it will be easier for her husband to handle? I think that’s why I really hate this story. Tara told Pammy the truth, but she can’t give up her Bucky man and professed her love at the skating arena while Tara and the family where all there. Oops!
I love Marshall’s storyline with the gay kids so far. It should be interesting to see where it goes. I’m not sure why he’s experimenting with that girl, but that can’t end well for her. I did however like how they again dressed the idea of labels, but like 90210 did last week. It’s nice to see shows now deciding to explore the territory.
I’m not sure what to think about the sister’s storyline working at the debt collection agency. I definitely love the artist character she met though! She’s a great new edition to the show.
Finally it’s good to see Tara’s sister is as screwed up as ever. Marrying the sexy/stable guy when she’s in love with Sully, the guy who she doesn’t think is up to her standards, is another story that’s gunna end up badly.
I wish the show would again address Tara’s past and what caused her dissociative disorder. After the big dead end last season, what could it be? Will they return to that or is it supposed to be a secret we’ll just never know?
Grey’s and Private Practice: Siblings Visit!
Posted by Dustin on 04.04.2010 at 10:30 pm
This past week on both “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice” saw relatives visiting. The following are some quick thoughts on both shows. Overall I enjoyed both, but that ending on “Private Practice” was a doozy!
On “Grey’s” we saw Alex’s brother arrive and we learned a lot about his past. His father was an abuser and his mother had her own problems, so many of the kids were put into the foster system. Alex had a long history in them and with run ins with the law. This impressed the hell out of Bailey, to learn where Alex came from and yet he still became a doctor.
I liked the back story for Alex, it made me like him a lot more. Okay I didn’t like how he treated his brother in this episode. But lately I’ve not liked Alex as much as he’s been acting like an ass. We also learned Izzie sent the divorce papers to Alex. So clearly they are slowly writing her out.
The Teddy/Owen/Christina storyline is on my last nerve. It seems to be so obvious that Teddy and Owen will end up together because they both know each other so well, and love each other in spite of the other people in their lives. Owen blew up at Christina again, which made her frightened, which made him realize it’s time he see Dr. Wyatt again. Teddy meanwhile is giving Christina advice on how to deal with Owen. Like I said, so . . . . obvious!
Derek brought up the idea of children with Meredith, which of course freaked her out. What freaked me out was that the fired resident Derek brought back suddenly has some stalkerish crush on him. Lexie caught on though and warned her, but she still keeps looking at Derek. Oh lord, this is not what we need. MerDer have finally got it together and now this?
Over to “Private Practice,” Derek’s little sister Amelia (I believe that was her name) showed up with a team that came to save the unborn baby’s from the woman in the coma. I was actually shocked that this story had a happy ending for once! The babies survived and the woman, thanks to Der’s little sis, came out of her coma.
The real story however was with both Sam and Addison trying to move on from one another, but it not working out so well. Sam’s new girlfriend hated that she was still competing with Addison, while Addison felt Pete still loved Violet. In the end, Violet returned! She showed up on Pete’s doorstep, saw Addison caring for her child, and said she was back and wanted to see Lucas.
Yeah, I can see a custody fight about to begin and it turning ugly between Pete and Violet! Grrrrrr, if they do this I’m gunna be so turned off!
Parenthood Thoughts . . . .
Posted by Dustin on 04.03.2010 at 7:36 pm
So just some general thoughts on “Parenthood,” which I’m loving and just hope gets another season. I’m tired of my shows being canceled!
I just have a really bad feeling something isn’t going to turn out for Crosby. I am now worried that Jabbar may not really be his son after the way the mother flipped out. Then there is the frozen sperm girl who is upset with him for NOT telling her about Jabbar. I really don’t like her much either to be honest. I can’t blame Crosby for being worried about telling her, and he should have pointed out he hadn’t even told half his family either.
I love the relationship between Adam and Drew. The masturbation talks the week before were hilarious. I also like how Drew has helped out a lot with Max and is getting a father figure out of Adam. For some reason though, Adam is bothering me. I love the actor, but he just isn’t fitting this role quite right for me yet. Maybe it’s seeing him with such older kids. Adam was driving me nuts over the way he was hovering over his daughter and her boyfriend. Oh and the boyfriend calling everyone by their first names was driving me nuts too.
Sarah and her daughter’s teacher are just a big “Oh No!” for me. While they did a similar story in the movie, this time they’ve also made the teacher much younger, adding the “cougar” spin to it. I think that is going to be a double blow to poor Amber. Not only is mom dating her teacher, but she’s a cougar too!
The one Braverman I still really can’t stand is “super lawyer thinks she’s also super parent” Julia. She’s making it really hard to feel sorry for her in any way shape or form given how she’s always dealing out parental advice to her siblings, yet isn’t exactly a perfect parent herself.
