V: John May is Dead?
So this week’s “V” lead to a lot more questions! Ryan, Erica, Father Jack and that English guy went looking for John May’s coms device, seeking out John May’s step-son. We got a back story in which Ryan first met John May as he was sent by Anna to kill him. John May supposedly committed suicide, so his step-son though. But Ryan revealed the suicide note was a fake, and he claimed he killed John May. Though at the same time, meeting John, realizing his words about humanity not being inferior to them but superior in many emotional ways, led Ryan not only to the resistance but his human wife Val.
Val meanwhile began to realize that Ryan had been hiding something from her. She broke into his safe and not only found the lizard photos of the baby inside her, but all sorts of fake IDs of his. As Ryan headed home, he called her to say he was not who she thought he was and it was time to come clean . . . .
I don’t know why, but I’m having flashbacks to the Hybrid baby being born as a possible cliff hanger for the series finale. Also I can’t help but feel that John May ISN’T dead, that he went into hiding and staged his death with Ryan. We never saw Ryan kill him, even though he claimed he did.
Tyler learned that his dad isn’t his biological dad . . . well according to blood tests. Tyler had an accident when he was a teen and when he needed blood, they found out his dad’s blood type was the wrong type, he couldn’t be Tyler’s dad. Erica claimed it was a mistake, she hadn’t been with anyone else. The dad didn’t believe her and couldn’t trust her, it lead to the breakup of their marriage in the end. So who is the father? That’s the big question! Is this guy even really Erica’s original husband? Could he have been replaced at some point along the way? Maybe he’s a V perhaps? But why spy on Erica like that . . . . though her old partner was a V too . . . . What does Erica have that’s so important? They do seem to have an interest in Tyler!
Finally Chad began to realize the people the V invited to live aboard all had specific things in common. He confronted Anna, thinking these weren’t randomly chosen people at all. Anna only claimed they were people we considered broken and discarded, which is why the V invited them to live aboard. Are these people who won’t be missed? That’s what it sounds like!
The whole thing got more interesting on Tuesday, that’s for sure. I’m glad Chad is questioning Anna, although I don’t know if I would have confronted her. I also could have gone without seeing her lay those eggs!
