Catching Up With The Wives And Walkers
So I had to read ABC’s recaps of last week’s shows to be caught up, as we didn’t get in till about 8pm. No time to watch, but I want to at least watch last week’s “Housewives” as I saw a lot of comments on the Bowen’s story.
The following are my quick thoughts of the various goings on on both shows.
This week I was not a fan of Gabby and Susan acting like idiots over whose kid was smarter, thought it was nice to see Susan get knocked down a few pegs off her usual high horse. At the same time, not at the expense of poor MJ, who they made fun of (okay the hand in the glass was funny).
Orson was a complete jerk to Bree throughout the episode, but by the end he opened up telling her it’s hard to look on the bright side of things when for the rest of his life he’ll be dependent on other people. I guess we are supposed to feel for him, but I just still can’t make myself go there yet.
Tom went back to work for Lynette at her job while she’s basically on relaxation rest till the end of her pregnancy. I really want to see last week’s for this story as well! Tom also started therapy, which Lynette had issues with. But by the end of the show she started going as she realized she had some issues she needed to work out. To see Lynette finally admit she’s been a bitch to Tom was actually great. I almost fell out of my chair!
Katherine continued to work towards getting over her breakdown, but felt nobody would forgive her. By the end of the show Karen had brought all the wives to see her, and even Susan gave her a hug. I actually really liked this story and really liked seeing Katherine back to being her non-crazy self. I also liked seeing Susan forgiving her as well. I do have to wonder what they’ll do with her now? Pair her with a new guy perhaps, or involve her in someone else’s story? I feel like she’s stuck right now.
Onto “Brothers and Sisters . . . . ”
So I missed the final departure of Simon the Jerk. Man can Nora not find a healthy stable man? I really liked Simon too! Well until he became a womanizing money stealer that is.
It looks like last week they hinted Justin might have a learning disability, which might keep him from failing out of medical school. Yes please! Save Justin’s career. I’ve loathed this “Justin is flunking out” story since day one.
I have to admit Sarah’s new wannabe-boyfriend Roy, who she met at Paige’s school, is really good for her. As she put it, he’s everything every other man in her life hasn’t been, a complete opposite of them all. Of course from the previews we know Luc texts her and could cause problems. He’s also expected to return at some point. A love triangle for Sarah perhaps?
Robert decided to drop out of politics all together, just as Kitty decided to jump in. This whole episode and story made me bang my head. After all this time Robert finally decides to give up? He almost lost his life, his marriage, etc . . . and now he decides to give up? Then Kitty wants in after all her bitching to Robert about how he almost lost his life, their marriage, etc. . . . Then the piece de resistance was Robert saying run for his seat in Senate. Ahhhhhh! Can this even work in TV-land, cause in the real world it would be too bizarre.
Finally Kevin and Scotty got the surrogate knocked up, so to speak. They are just waiting to see if any of the embryos take. I just have a feeling between Kevin being so neurotic and the surrogate being so . . . mmmm . . . not very responsible? Well this thing is going to need a miracle to work!
I see a who’s baby is it storyline coming up. With the surrogate saying she and the bf have been having sex, etc. She will get knocked up and then they won’t know if it’s her kid or their kid.
