Heroes: Someone’s Getting Killed Off (Again . . . ) *Updated With Quick Thoughts*
So it seems we’ve been here many times, someone is getting killed on “Heroes,” though this time it looks to be for good.
Ausiello dropped the first hints this morning, talking about a major leading man on a one time ratings powerhouse had just been coldly fired, and was filming death scenes next week. He didn’t reveal what show, only that it wasn’t “Grey’s,” but promised hints to come.
Now Kristin has basically come out and said the show is “Heroes” and it’s an original cast member. She said it’s someone she’s really going to miss.
Who do you think it it? It could be so many!
- Hiro has a brain tumor and is dying . . .
- Nathan is already dead, and I’ve been saying I think only one (Nathan or Sylar) will survive this season in the body (one body one soul)
- There is no love loss between the actors playing Peter and Claire, rumors ran rampant last year she wanted him fired after the couple broke up in real life (notice they haven’t been in scenes together anymore).
- Surresh . . . where has Surresh been all season?
- HRG seems to be a target of the Dark Carnies . . . .
Your thoughts?
P.S. I’ll try and add some thoughts on last night’s show (what little I watched) to the end of this post later. Everyone seemed to like it, I guess I’ll have to rewatch what I missed!
P.S.S. – The quick quick thoughts on what I can remember 🙂
Loved the introduction of the invisible girl. Totally out of left park, makes Gretchen look crazy, which is a plus since I’m not feeling her character.
The kiss between Claire and Gretched I think was way jumping the shark, like in a motorcycle and through a ring of fire!
The whole romance or whatever is going on with Peter and the deaf girl. I don’t know. I’m still not getting her power to be honest either.
Sylar not knowing who he is could be fun, but we’ve done this before haven’t we? He always goes back to being the guy we love to hate. Though I still hate him for killing off Elle!
Sylar showing up at the Carnival will be fun. However the whole “moves around thing” I felt was way too “Something Wicked This Way Comes” . . . which reminds me it’s the time of year to watch that one again.
Please let it be Hiro or Peter rather done with both of them at this point. But with our luck it will be Ando.

I think it’s gunna be Surresh or Sylar honestly

So why didn’t Peter get his mother’s powers when he touched her? I mean he was able to zoom out the door and save the deaf girl. But when he touched the deaf girl he got her “power”? Makes no sense. Also the Gretchen/Claire kiss was jumping the shark and really had no purpose. I did like the invisible girl though, when they introduced her I thought that there was something not quite right with her!

I think that Peter’s power is tied to empathy. He clearly didn’t have the emotional attachment to his mother so he didn’t get her power. However, there was an emotional connection to Emma, and as such he ended up absorbing her power.
Or at least that’s my take.

Peter’s power is empathy based that’s why he doesn’t take his mothers who’s whole focus is on Nathan/Sylar. I like Emma’s (i think cant really remember) powers, while it seems to be being presented to us the viewers as similar to sensory issue, the cracking of the wall seems to imply more of a energy transfer from sound to light and force. If that ends up being true, no comment on yet another x-men power rip off.

I think this discussion has also come up before with Peter touching someone but not taking their powers. I think a lot has to do with his intentions too. (I think the writers didn’t think this through too lol)

Erick, I think you are right on the x-men rip off…. Which makes it either Jubilee or Dazzler, both tended to use something similar.
