True Blood: The Episode Before The Finale

True Blood: The Episode Before The Finale

Wanted to get a “True Blood” post up on last week’s episode before I forgot. There is no episode this week because of the holiday weekend. The season finale airs September 13th.

I’m going to forgo a huge recap, mainly because not too much happened really. Tara escaped from Sookie and Lafayette, with her mom’s help, to try and rescue Eggs. All she got was re-brainwashed. Lafayette went to find her, and he got brainwashed too. Sookie showed up, and found some bizarre egg in her gran’s bed. Meanwhile Bill went to see the queen on how to kill a maenad, only to be forced to play Yahtzee and Scrabble for hours on end. She eventually told him the only way for one to be killed was for her to open herself up to be sacrificed by the God she’s so desperate to summon.

Tara’s stupidity really irked me. If she doesn’t get it together, she’s not going to be one of my favorite characters anymore!

I did love the Queen, she had some hysterical one liners through the whole episode.

Eric being able to fly was a new revelation. I thought Bill told Sookie last season vampires didn’t do that sort of thing?

The real mystery was revealed at the end, the egg in Gran’s bed. Please tell me Maryann didn’t lay an egg! I also hope this doesn’t mean a spawn of Maryann to deal with next season.

  1. I too was surprised that Eric could fly. What the heck is up with the egg? Maybe it was laid while Maryanne was that winged creature?

Poor Sookie, among all this stuff going on, and her house being taken over, she has to watch her friends smash her grandma’s stuff!

  2. Tara annoys me so much with this pathetic need for Eggs. She was strong willed and feisty season one but this story line has really dragged the character along in a direction that it just seems unnatural for her to go

  3. And yes, Dustin, they have kinda hinted at the big bad, because they showed Hadley, the mia cousin that Tara referred to and something tells me they are bringing in what happened to her, in the book, which leads to a discovery of more of what Sookie actually is
