Big Brother 11: Evicted on August 6th and New HOH!

Big Brother 11: Evicted on August 6th and New HOH!

Posted by Dustin on 08.06.2009 at 8:50 pm

The show as usual started with some recaps as to what’s been going on, as well as the fights happening since the Veto Ceremony.

Lydia was worried something might happen to of course keep Ronnie in the house.

At one point Russell got paranoid that Michelle and Jordan were scheming about him, but they weren’t.

In the HOH room Michelle told Russell that Jessie, Natalie and Chima . . . at least Chima wanted him out along with Lydia and Kevin (Week 2 talk of back-dooring Russell shown). Michelle also said Chima said not to trust Russell, that he was a liar.

He went to see Jessie, who of course told him nobody ever said that (which we know it was discussed, they showed recaps of it!). He then went to see Chima, and she confronted Michelle in Russell’s room about this. Michelle felt Russell betrayed her and they were in an alliance, so she denied it. She twisted everything around. Of course Russell only made himself look bad when he got upset, and Chima went off on Russell thinking he was just paranoid and starting trouble!

This is the huge fight that happened between Chima and Russell a few nights back, in which she vowed to Natalie and Michelle that she would send Russell home now. She also threw water/beer in his face, which wasn’t shown.

Ronnie of course ran around trying to get a sympathy vote, knowing it would be enough to stay if he could fool Jordan into it. It didn’t work.

We found out Jeff finally put the moves on Jordan and kissed her, only to have Ronnie walk in on them! Then he ended up farting and begging them for sympathy votes, ruining the romance.

A LOT of fights were left out, these have been talked about in the “After Dark and Feed” posts.

We went to the living room for the live vote, and heard from Russell first. Julie asked who he trusted, Jessie or Jeff? He trusts both and wants to avoid backstabbing either as long as he can.

jeffcoup Julie then talked about the Coup D’Etat and we learned Jeff won it! Julie went to the houseguests to let them know the person who won the power has been notified, and only he or she knows what it is and can’t reveal what it is until a certain moment, when they chose to use it. Julie asked if the winner wanted to use it, and Jeff chose not to. (Basically the whole house now probably knows what the power is, or should be able to guess)

Lydia and Ronnie made their speeches, and of course Ronnie was in tears as he thanked everyone in the house for a great time. Ronnie said there is good in everyone except Michelle, who was the worst human being he ever met and he feels sorry for her!

ronnielydia Kevin, Michelle, Jeff, Jordan voted to evict Ronnie.

Natalie, Chima and Jessie voted to evict Lydia.

Ronnie was sent packing 4-3! He cried on his way out, I think Michelle tried to say she never had any ill will towards him. He yelled “Be quiet . . . scene!”

Ronnie gave his interview to Julie, talking about how Michelle back-stabbed and lied to him. Julie reminded him the same words could be said to him. He claimed he had ultimate loyalty to Jessie, Natalie and Chima; but Michelle would betray anyone.

Ronnie watched his goodbye messages. Of course Jessie and his team said goodbye and they were sorry, while Kevin and the others were gloating. Michelle let Ronnie know that he lied to her, he backstabbed her, she hates him too!

chimahoh The HOH comp began. First we saw some of what was going on last night. A button appeared in the backyard, when hit they all heard messages sent in by viewers. These messages played all night long for them.

The HOH comp of course was a true or false trivia based on the messages. Chima became the new HOH!

Russell is in trouble at this point! I think we can assume that Jeff might be using his “Wizard” power come next week!

Predictions as to who she’ll put up? My guess is Russell and Lydia, since she seems to loath both of them.

Medium and Ghost Whisperer Bits

Medium and Ghost Whisperer Bits

Posted by Dustin on 08.05.2009 at 4:32 pm

A few spoilers for both “Medium” and “Ghost Whisperer” came out this week as part of a press conference CBS did for the new upcoming television seasons.

On “Medium,” Patricia Arquette cut her hair to a sexy bob. It was story dictated after Alison’s brain surgery last season. She’ll wake up, unsure how the surgery has affected her powers.

At some point Alison will have dreams putting her in the footage of the original “Night of the Living Dead” movie!

The new season is said to heavily focus on the family, with Ariel acting liking a typical teenager and getting into trouble.

As for “Ghost Whisperer,” nothing newish has come out that we don’t already know (ie the 5 year jump, their child is now a toddler). However there is a lot of talk and rumors of a GW-Medium crossover episode.

Do you think a cross-over would work, or should both shows hold their own? Personally I’d like to keep the shows separate. “Medium” has always been more of a reality based show in my opinion, whereas “Whisperer” often goes a little too far into fantasy.

Ugly Betty’s New Look, Plus Christina Returns?

Ugly Betty’s New Look, Plus Christina Returns?

JustJared scored some photos of America Ferrera on break filming “Ugly Betty” looking very un-Betty-like. It’s been said Betty would have a new mature look for her new job as an assistant-editor. Is this the new Betty?

Meanwhile Ashley Jensen told E! that she thinks her character Christina could very well return to the show sometime next season, and she’d love to do it. The actress left the show last year and is going to appear on the new CBS show “Accidentally On Purpose” with Jenna Elfman. Source: DigitalSpy

Big Brother August 4: POV

Big Brother August 4: POV

Posted by Dustin on 08.04.2009 at 9:58 pm

Tonight with Ronnie and Lydia on the block, the POV would be played and used.

First we started out with Lydia and Ronnie’s reactions to being on the block. Russell wanted to see if people would side with him over Ronnie, while Ronnie said he’s risen from worse scenarios before. Lydia meanwhile had no idea where she stood with Russell or her alliance.

Ronnie went to see Russell to try and convince him to keep him. Ronnie told him no hard feelings, and then started crying about how he’s never gone against him. He basically promised to do anything Russell wanted, but Russell knew he was acting and a fake.

Chima showed up and began kissing up to Russell and pouring on the female charm. She wanted Lydia to go, but he wanted Ronnie gone and made that clear.

Natalie also wanted Lydia out and told Jessie. Jessie too felt Ronnie was better to keep than Lydia, as he owed him. Jessie and Natalie went in to see Russell, and a little bicker fight went on as to who should be voted out. Russell made it clear he wanted Ronnie out.

Jessie turned to Michelle to try and keep Ronnie in the house, but couldn’t figure out where she stood. If they got her, they could turn the vote in the house to keep Ronnie.

The veto competition players were picked. Russell, Lydia, Ronnie, Michelle, Jessie and Kevin played, while Chima was the host.

The comp was a Greek themed game. There were various items in the backyard that they had to study for five minutes as part of the game. They were then asked about the items, they had to guess amounts pertaining to each item (ie how many arrows were in stuck in a shield, how many jewels on a chariot). Michelle ended up winning the game.

Ronnie of course ran to kiss Michelle’s butt and beg her to use the veto on him. He said she could become part of his, Jessie, Natalie and Chima’s alliance.

Russell talked to Michelle, they talked about how neither of them had a team to be on, and everyone else did. Russell knew Jessie was feeling threatened, and they talked about how Jessie and Natalie are always together. Jessie and Natalie were worried as to where they stood now. Jessie of course just didn’t want to go out in week four yet again. He thought Russell might try and backdoor him.

Natalie told Ronnie his only hope was to convince Michelle to use the veto, otherwise Russell would get him out of the house. Ronnie tried again, trying to scare her saying that Jessie, Chima and Natalie would go after her if he was booted.

Russell felt Chima started becoming some obsessive girlfriend as Russell was talking to Michelle and Lydia. Chima however felt Russell was putting it all on her and trying to say she was acting jealous. (There was actually someone Chima knew in the game as one of the models or something but wasn’t shown, and Russell was flirting with her! I guess CBS cut it out, as it would look fishy)

Chima went to talk to Ronnie, and he was saying he think Russell convinced her to use the veto on Lydia to put one of them up. Ronnie and Chima began badmouthing Russell, saying he had no more power after tomorrow and wasn’t that smart. Russell was listening and walked in on them. He then walked out. Natalie quickly ran in, saying Russell heard them talking. Chima went off on Russell, being bleeped out, saying she would go off on Russell if she had to see him. Chima wanted to stay with Ronnie to avoid Russell for the moment. Jessie and Natalie then came in and warned Chima not to go down with Ronnie, they tried to save him, but there is nothing that can be done now that Russell knows all.

Russell meanwhile realized there was no point keeping Chima around anymore as she was way too close with Ronnie and against him.

Michelle called the veto ceremony and decided not to use the veto, leaving Ronnie and Lydia on the block. Michelle sided with Jordan, Jeff and Russell.

REMEMBER! You have till midnight tonight to vote at CBS.com for the power of Coup D’etat!

If Ronnie somehow wins, I’m sorry to say that I’m gunna have to believe there was serious rigging going on 🙂 Ronnie will go home this week without it. Keeping Ronnie around would make a good show and more drama, even if he went out the following week. (Side Note: “People” have been found making posts asking for bots to be created to automatically vote for Ronnie to stay!)

A little blip after the jump, which we’ll probably see on Thursday’s show . . . .

Army Wives: Reunited & It Feels So Good

Army Wives: Reunited & It Feels So Good

Posted by Dustin on 08.04.2009 at 3:35 pm

This week seemed to be a slow week for the “Wives” and their husbands, but it was a good one.

Frank and Denise continued their dates, but intimacy remained a stumbling block for Frank. When he saw Denise’s bike parked outside, he winced. She felt she should get rid of it, but he said no as it was her bike. Denise decided to sell it anyways, thinking it was a reminder to Frank. She later got word over the net that she had a buyer.

Later Frank and Denise got down to the business of making love. He also surprised her when he showed up for a date riding a bike! (I am not sure if he bought her bike or not, or got one of his own). They worked things out and she moved back in. However her homecoming was a short one. Moments after Frank carried her over the threshold he got the call that he was headed back to Iraq.

Haneen was preparing to return to Iraq to be with her aunt and uncle. Emmalynn googled her hometown and found out how dangerous it would be for her to go home, she couldn’t go. She told her mom, who told Michael. Michael made some calls and it seemed her aunt and uncle agreed, they were actually trying to find a way out of Iraq because of the danger their family was still in. Michael helped to get them relocated to Turkey, with hopes of going home to Iraq one day.

Claudia Joy went with Haneen to meet her aunt and uncle. Emmalynn wanted to go too, but her parents forbid it. She had SATs coming up. Also Michael was hosting an important dinner, which Claudia Joy had to miss as she was with Haneen. Emmalynn took up her mothers duties hosting, and she and Michael began growing closer again.

As Trevor studied for his advancement exam, his buddy Brian Day didn’t seem eager to advance his career at all. Joan became curious and started asking around. It seems Day has some anger issues. It got trickier when she found out he was seeing Roland and Terrance outside of the army’s docs, so if anything was really wrong . . . well Roland and Terrance didn’t have to divulge the info to the army. This put Roland in a hard spot, the guy was Terrance’s patient. Joan snooped on her own and found out from another officer that Day has had anger issues, he almost got himself arrested at a local bar for putting his fist through a window over a woman.

Finally Roxy was worried this week when Finn didn’t seem to be paying attention in school or completing his assignments. His teacher felt he might have ADD and should be tested. Roxy thought it was impossible, he is the brightest one in their family, always able to memorize everything. The teacher said sometimes slow children excel in one or two things! Well Roxy was worried, she didn’t want Finn to go through what she did, feeling stupid and being teased because she had a disability. He was tested and it turned out he was gifted. He just bored to death in his current class. Roxy was pleased, but then faced another problem. What if because of finances they couldn’t do enough for Finn now?

My Thoughts
First I loved that Frank “grew” as a person and not only accepted the bike into his and Denise’s relationship, but made the symbol theirs in a way as opposed to what it used to stand for. Sadly though Frank’s shipping back out. I still can’t knock the feeling something bad will happen to Frank or Jeremy.

I really hope we haven’t seen the last of Haneen’s character. She was a great addition to the show and I’d love to have her back even for just a visit.

Finally I was horrified by how Finn’s teacher spoke to Roxy! I thought she would have up and smacked the woman when she said “Sometimes slow children excel in one or two things.” I mean seriously, way to basically tell someone in a horrible way “I’m sorry, your child is Rainman.” She should be fired!

True Blood: Maryann Revealed

True Blood: Maryann Revealed

Posted by Dustin on 08.03.2009 at 4:46 pm

The latest episode of “True Blood” began with the continuation of Maryann’s orgy. Sam was about to be sacrificed when Andy arrived, shot his gun into the air to startle people. He was tackled by Terry the Iraq Vet working for Sam, who broke his arm in the process. Sam was able to run, but Maryann followed. He saw an owl so shifted into one and flew off to save himself.

Eggs and Tara woke up the next morning on the couch with no memory, thinking they smoked too much pot and blacked out. Later thought Arlene at the bar told Tara she too blacked out, but she feels she might have had her way with Terry last night.

Sam meanwhile had gotten a gun from the bar and confronted Daphne at the pond wanting answers. Daphne spilled all, explaining what Maryann was. She said some called her Calli, some Lilith. What the ancient Greeks called her was Maenid, a follower of Dionysus. However she was much more than that. She said Dionysus was also called the horned God . . . Sam said Satan? Daphne explained that when everyone’s eyes go black, Maryann is in control of them. She feeds off their lust, their anger, the fun “evil” emotions in them. She says Maryann can’t exert this power on supernaturals though. She said Maryann is angry with Sam as he got away from her and won’t willingly serve her.

Back at Merlots, Andy showed up furious, wanting to get revenge on Terry. He also told everyone he saw them all last night at the orgy, they were devil worshipers and he’d get them all. Everyone thought he was just drunk and acting stupid. Tara it seemed began to suspect something. Sam returned at this point and ran out after Andy left. Presumably after him?

Back at the pond, Maryann showed up with a black-eyed Eggs. She thanked Daphne for her service, and then Eggs killed her!

In Dallas, Hugo and Sookie were locked in the basement and he was freaking out. He ended up telling Steve who they really were in hopes he’d let them go. Steve was fuming when he realized Sookie and Jason were siblings. He left, and Hugo kept freaking out. Sookie touched him to try and calm him, then was flooded with his memories. He was the traitor, he was a church member and also set Sookie up! He claimed the vampires were just using them, he had become addicted to Isabelle, who refused to turn him and strung him along like an addict. Sookie said that was his issue, she’s not an addict, she can’t help it if he can’t control himself. She used her powers to send a message to Barry (the telepath she met), asking him to tell Bill where she was as well as Godrich.

Isabelle and Eric had a conversation about loving mortals. She knew he was after Sookie, but he kept denying it. Elsewhere Jessica and her boyfriend Hoyt both admitted to being virgins and gave into each other, making love.

Bill was trapped by Lorena through the whole damn episode, with more flashbacks of their past. Bill became sickened by her and wouldn’t kill anymore. He threatened to stake himself if she did not release him, so she did. In the present Lorena told Bill the whole reason she was here was because of Eric, he was after Sookie, and she was brought in to get Bill back. Bill again told her that she released him long ago and he would never love her. Suddenly Barry showed up knocking on the door with Sookie’s message. Eric, next door, heard it and took off. Someone else then grabbed Barry and pulled him into a room!

Back at the church, after doing the deed, Sarah told Jason that they would have to tell Steve what they did. She said she now knew what real love was, that hopefully God would forgive them for what they’d done one day. Steve had his hulk of a bodyguard kidnap Jason and take him off to the woods to be killed for coming here with his sister to infiltrate them. Jason couldn’t get a word in to explain, as Steve had made up his mind about him. Jason got away from Gabe though and ran off.

People began arriving to the church for the lock-down that night, which was to end in the morning with the vampire sacrifice. Steve grabbed Sarah and said they had to talk about Jason. Next thing we know, Sarah shows up in the woods where Jason is walking and shoots him straight in the chest!

Back in the church basement, Gabe shows up feeling like Sookie and her brother shamed him. He went to rape Sookie when Godrich showed up to save Sookie.

My Thoughts
So I think it’s safe to say Jason isn’t dead. They aren’t killing their main sex-symbol off the show. What was up with Sarah? I’m guessing Steve told her his suspicions that Jason was a sympathizer and trying to infiltrate them with his sister. Was she feeling like she was used and shot him out of anger? Or is she maybe trying to fake his death? I’m gunna guess perhaps the later? Otherwise it’s going to take a vampire’s blood to save Jason at this point given those wounds.

I have to admit through out Sam and Daphne’s I just wanted him to shoot her. But for him to do so would have tainted his character. She got hers in the end though, double-crossed by Maryann!

I keep waiting for Tara to smarten up and put all the pieces together. It’s clear Eggs is too fart lost (or dumb) to figure things out. I have seen the spoilers, so I do know what is coming, and it looks good!

Hugo being the rat was an interesting twist I didn’t see coming at all. Will Isabelle spare him or condemn him as a traitor? I think Hugo is a goner myself.

I’m still confused as to Steve’s plan. I just feel like a vampire is helping him, and Eric accused Godrich’s right hand man Hank of betraying him. However it seems like both Hank and Isabelle are innocent at this point, with Hugo being the rat. Still, Eric seems perplexed as to how someone as powerful as Godrich was taken. Was Godrich taken? He didn’t exactly seem to be imprisoned or chained up when he came to Sookie’s rescue. Is he in on it? Is he setting up Eric to offer himself as a sacrifice in his place as shown in the previews? Are Godrich and Steve setting up a war for their own purposes and gains?

Big Brother Feed/After Dark Spoilers: August 3rdish

Okay so after the jump are some spoilerish bits. It seems something went on last night, something big (a fight, the discovery of another rat, someone new has a target on their back). It stemmed from a few days ago and has been slowing to a boil. I’m not completely sure of it all, or if it got worse after I went to bed. Anyone who also gets or reads feed news is welcome to fill in the blanks in the comments!

Big Brother 11: August 2: New HOH and On The Block

Big Brother 11: August 2: New HOH and On The Block

Posted by Dustin on 08.02.2009 at 9:07 pm

Casey went out, we saw a recap of that from the last episode. Russell meanwhile kept secret he votes to keep Casey, basically to cause drama amongst the guests. It worked!

The HOH competition concluded tonight, with it coming down to Jeff and Russell. Russell asked everyone watching to leave so he and Jeff could talk. Both were going to fight to the end, so Jeff agreed to drop if Russell would keep him and Jordan safe. Jeff and Russell also both agreed Ronnie needed to go. Jeff dropped, making Russell the new HOH. According to Russell’s “Diary Room” session he no longer trusts Ronnie and does want him out it seems. Russell also claims to have a new found respect for Jeff for hanging in there.

The first 5 to drop got prized. Kevin was first out, and got $5000 dollars. Ronnie got nothing, Natalie also got nothing in her prize. I believe Lydia got nothing as well, but others seem to think she also got 5K. Jordan was the 5th to drop, she was a “Have” for the week but had to pick 3 to be “Have Nots”

Jordan put names in a hat to pick who would be the “Have Nots.” She did not include anyone who had already been a “Have Not,” which was the Brains and her. She picked Natalie, Kevin and Jeff . . but because Jeff stayed out there so long people told her to take him out. Lydia and Jessie were all that were left, they picked numbers to see who would be a “Have Not” and Jessie lost. (For the show they just made it seem like she drew Jessie’s name off the bat . . . this did not happen!)

Jessie and Natalie came to get Russell to put up who they wanted immediately. Jessie is acting like he’s still in control and wants Kevin and Lydia up and out as floaters. Russell claimed he’d hear them out, but would do what he wanted.

Russell suggested to Jeff they form an alliance, that in physical challenges nobody could beat them.

The “Have Nots” learned that they could also enjoy squash and squid in addition to slop.

Lydia went to kiss some HOH butt to see if she could stay off the block. She threw Jessie and Natalie under the bus, saying they were going to put him up first chance they could. Jessie soon showed up, as well as Natalie and Chima. They then threw Lydia under the bus after learning Lydia threw them under the bus. They said she was a liar and a drama queen (though ironically they all considered back-dooring Russell when Ronnie was HOH!).

Ronnie then went to smooch some HOH butt. Ronnie also warned him that others in this house too wanted him up there, but he stayed true to their team and didn’t nominate him. He also suggested Lydia and Kevin go up as they are floating. Russell told Ronnie that he was not in any danger.

When it came to the nominations, Russell put up Lydia and Ronnie. Russell said Ronnie slapped him in the face when he talked to Lydia and Kevin in private, he heard him talking Shhhh…. about him when he wasn’t around (we saw a quick vid of this, Ronnie and Lydia were trashing Russell).

REMINDER: You can still go to CBS.com and vote for who in the house will get the Coup D’Etat power.
