More Heroes Cast For Season 4

More Heroes Cast For Season 4

Posted by Dustin on 06.05.2009 at 2:05 pm

Ausiello reports that two more “Heroes” have been cast. Ray Park, best known as Darth Maul from “Star Wars Episode 1” has been cast in an unknown role. Ausiello speculates he’ll have something to do with the dark carnival storyline at the center of season 4.

Also Sue Thomas has been cast as a hearing-impaired love interest for one of the show’s heroes. I’m for some reason guessing Matt, because he could communicate with her. I don’t think Matt and his ex will work out honestly.

Another bit of casting news from The Hollywood Reporter. Robert Knepper, who played the villain T-bag on “Prison Break,” will be the new villain named Samuel on “Heroes” for at least 6 episodes. He’ll somehow be involved in the lives of several of the heroes.

True Blood Spoilers

True Blood Spoilers

Posted by Dustin on 06.03.2009 at 8:23 pm

SciFi Wire has an interview with “True Blood” creator Alan Ball, which has some spoilerish bits. Most I’ve posted before, but will recap as it’s been awhile. I’ve added a few other tidbits in here as well.

Sookie and Bill go to Dallas to find the vampire there that’s gone missing, it’s the Vampire that is the Sheriff of that area. Earlier it was said this was Bill’s maker.

There is a video of Sookie and Bill traveling on the road and having a fight. Sookie wants out of the car, something evil is lurking about outside.

Maryann gets involved in the town in a big way. She’s put up Tara, and at her house Tara meets her new love interest for this season (Mehcad Brooks, who was the Applewhite son on “Housewives” in season 2). We’ll learn about the connection between Maryann and Sam, and supposedly more and more supernatural creatures will be added to Bon Temps.

It looks like Lafayette is dead 🙁 He died in the books, looks like he’s dead on the show.

Jason becomes involved with The Church of the Sun, the anti-vampire group. Something happens between Jason, Reverend Newlander and his wife Sarah. Early spoilers made it seem like an affair was going on . . . could it be a threesome?

Kristin at E! Retweeted today (a retreate from Jennifer Godwin) that Charlaine Harris might be guesting in the last episode of the season. She wrote the books all this is based on.

Also don’t forget, Evan Rachel Wood plays Sophie, Vampire Queen of New Orleans for at least 2 episodes.

“True Blood” returns on June 14th on HBO.

Madeline Zima Joins Heroes

Madeline Zima Joins Heroes

Posted by Dustin on 06.03.2009 at 1:18 pm

Via The Hollywood Reporter, Madeline Zima will join “Heroes” next season as Gretchen, Claire’s college roommate. Yes our little cheerleader is off to school. Zima currently stars on “Californication” but is probably best known to TV viewers as Grace Sheffield from “The Nanny.”

Word around the net is that next season on “Heroes” we’ll see a “New Company” being formed, but not the one HRG and Angela talked about at the end of season 3. This looks to be yet another bad company with an agenda, but that is not set in stone.

New 90210 Cast Member To Be Added

New 90210 Cast Member To Be Added

Posted by Dustin on 06.03.2009 at 12:08 pm

TV Guide is reporting that “90210” is basically looking to replace Ethan with a guy named Teddy, a tennis champ and son of a famous movie star.

There is still no news how Ethan will leave the show. Some thing he was hit by Annie, I think he will move to Colorado for good. He choose to go there to see his dad over the summer instead of going to lacrosse camp.

Medium Says Goodbye To NBC With An Insane Cliffhanger

Medium Says Goodbye To NBC With An Insane Cliffhanger

Posted by Dustin on 06.02.2009 at 7:24 pm

I don’t know what ticks me off more, that NBC canceled Medium, or that we could have been left with the cliffhanger we got last night and left dangling forever. Fortunately CBS picked the show up, so we won’t have to never not know what happened.

Allison was having dreams that the Mexican drug cartel killed her entire family. A drug war from Mexico had spilled into Texas and Arizona, and she was brought in to help find a guy that was killing people to intimidate families and law enforcement agencies. She was working with a guy whose wife was killed by this guy in a car bomb. All the while, Allison was having headaches. As it turned out, she had a brain tumor. She knew it was benign, but it left alone it would have killed her as it kept growing. She also saw that if she had the surgery, she might lose her gift, and then never be able to save her family. She risked her life, avoiding the surgery, to catch the killer. Of course he was linked to the special agent whose wife died. He was on the take, she found out, so they killed her! Allison saved her family, but had a stroke before surgery and was in a coma. We were left not knowing if or when she’d wake up and if her gift was still in tact.

OMG! Horrible cliffhanger. To think if the show was not saved, we’d be left with that? Thankfully CBS saw a future with this show, and I think paired with “Ghost Whisperer” on Friday, well it’s gunna rock. Plus we finally get a full season of “Medium,” which means a possible Christmas episode!

Harper’s Island: Who’s My Daddy?

Harper’s Island: Who’s My Daddy?

Posted by Dustin on 06.01.2009 at 3:08 pm

So this weekend’s “Harper’s Island” opened up the predictable horror story “mystery” with Abby. First the mini-cap, then some thoughts.

The Sheriff decided to search the hotel and all the wedding guests rooms. This led Malcolm to panic as he didn’t want his money found. He through it out the window, later to retrieve it and be caught by his friends. He had to fess up and they were furious. They said they had to go find Booth, to give him a proper burial; and later they were going to the sheriff with all this. Malcolm ended up burning the money in the furnace, only to be attacked by the killer. So long Malcolm!

The Sheriff found Uncle Marty’s cellphone in JD’s room, which made him think he was the killer. He set out to find him, with Henry in tow.

Abby took Trish to say goodbye to her father, thinking it would help things. Trish felt she had to cancel the wedding, for good, as every time she’d look at Henry she’d think of her dead father. By the end of the show though it seemed Abby made her think differently about doing that.

Abby began having memories of the day her mom died. She was supposed to go camping with Jimmy, they were gunna “do it.” However they witnessed an explosion on the docks. Wakefield returned that day and he started out trying to kill one of the deputies, that is the burned guy in the woods.

Abby went home, her mom was gone. Her dad called and told her to stay inside and lock all the windows and doors. She heard a scream and went outside, to find her mom and others dead. Then she was almost killed by Wakefield, but Jimmy drove up and distracted him so she could run.

The trip down memory lane was spurned by the appearance of the deputy (aka the burned guy) to give her a warning. He said her dad was after the wrong guy, JD wasn’t the killer, and her dad wasn’t being honest about Wakefield. She later confronted him, he admitted the truth. Wakefield came for her mother. Before her mother came to the island, she dates Wakefield in Seattle. Wakefield was nuts it seemed, she ran away to the island and they met. He said Wakefield came once for her, he had his guys beat him up then pulled strings to get him charged with attempted murder of police officers. He went to jail for a long time, when he got out is when he returned to the island, for revenge.

The Sheriff and Henry caught JD, but he claimed they’d look stupid when he was locked up and more murders happened. At the end of the show Trish’s niece Madison got a note from someone. She thought it was her dad. She went somewhere, I guess the note told her to, and she was kidnapped!

My Thoughts
First up, I’m not crying over Malcolm’s death. He had it coming for a long time.

Where has Cal been? His disappearance is suspicious!

They’ve clearly set up the predictable “My father is a psychopathic killer” story with Abby. I don’t think her dad told her everything, I think her mom came to the island pregnant. Why else would he have sent Abby away after everything that happened? Also if he had really shot and killed Wakefield as he says, what was there to send her away for? I don’t think the person in Wakefield’s grave is Wakefield at all.
