Heroes: Sylar Sets A New Target

Heroes: Sylar Sets A New Target

The latest episode of “Heroes” I found much more enjoyable than last week’s, which I found a snooze fest. Still I was hoping for more with Angela’s story, which actually is in next week’s episode.

Matt set out to make the Hunter/Emile pay by taking away someone who meant everything to him. He used his powers to lead him to the woman the Hunter loved. He found out that the Hunter had lied to her about who he was and what he did. Matt took her to the Hunter and forced him to tell her the truth. She was disgusted by the Hunter. Matt wanted to make him pay more by killing her so he knew what it felt like, but he couldn’t. He then allowed the Hunter a clear shot at him, to end his life. This of course is when Hiro showed up, froze time and saved Matt. Upon learning of his son, Matt of course had a new reason to live.

Sylar decided he was going to totally destroy Noah Bennet’s life, and he’d use his new shape-shifting abilities to do so. Noah and his wife were having problems, she had filed for divorce. Noah meanwhile learned Sylar wasn’t dead as they wanted him to think, the dead man was a shape-shifter and Sylar stole his powers. Noah became suspicious of everyone, even thinking his wife was Sylar at one point. He had her pinned to the table and gun to her before finally believing she was his wife. Oh dear! Noah forced the Hunter to tell him where Sylar was. Noah tricked the Hunter into thinking he was Sylar shifted into his form, so he found out the Hunter was working with Sylar. The Hunter told him who Sylar was masquerading, and Noah went after him. When he confront “the agent” in front of everyone, Hunter betrayed him and claimed he was crazy. Noah shot the man he thought was Sylar, missing his brain and his hand was pushed, but the man didn’t get up. It looked like he killed the wrong man, and he ran off fleeing. Of course after everyone esle chased after him, Sylar got up! So the destruction of Noah has begun.

Finally Claire, Nathan, Angela and Peter all met at some ghost town of a place. She claimed this was where it began, and she told them to dig. They found bodies, several of them, and Angela knew who they were.

Like I said, I was most interested in Angela’s story, which played so little in this episode.

I’m still expecting Sylar to kill the Hunter at some point. I’m also worried he’s going to kill HRG’s wife too. The spoilers say . . . stop here if you don’t want to be spoiled . . . spoilers say Sylar kills an original cast member and the death is real. I think it will be Noah’s wife 🙁

90210: Silver Went Cuckoo For Cocoa Puffs

90210: Silver Went Cuckoo For Cocoa Puffs

Posted by Dustin on 04.04.2009 at 6:53 pm

So “90210” came back this week. The vets were all but missing. I was bummed as I was hoping this is when Donna returned. It doesn’t look like she’s back for at least 2 more episodes.

Naomi has moved onto this new guy Liam, who is the new bad boy at school I guess. I felt like this story was timed really well with the new “Fast and Furious” movie myself with all the drag racing. I’m not sure if I really like Liam either. Clearly it’s only a matter of time before Naomi gets hurt, and not emotionally.

Ethan was confused about his feelings for Rhonda, who wasn’t confused as to how she felt for Ethan. Annie meanwhile was just pissed, thinking Ethan was cheating on her. In the end, Ethan dumped Annie as he claimed he needed time to find himself. I think he’ll find himself in Rhonda’s arms by next week! I seem to remember this same spiel when he broke up with Naomi.

Then of course there was Silver, who is obsessed with Dixon. She got a Dixon tattoo, is addicted to having sex with Dixon, and made a movie about her love for Dixon for a class project. Of course she taped her and Dixon making love for this movie, then showed it to everyone! Dixon dumped her, realizing she had lost it. Silver then went and broke into Mr. Matthew’s place, accusing him of sabotaging her life and planning all that happened. I used to love Silver, now she’s just plain bonkers! Why did they have to do this to her character?

Oh, Naveed and Adrianna got back together, which was probably the only bit of real happiness in the episode!

Sent Packing On DWTS and Idol

Sent Packing On DWTS and Idol

Posted by Dustin on 04.02.2009 at 6:45 pm

“Dancing With The Stars” had a double elimination this week, with both Holly and Steve Wozniak going home. Next week I think Steve O will be sent packing, the following week it will be the football guy or David Alan Grier most likely. The show will start getting down to an hour now, so I’ll finally be able to see it all without “Heroes” interrupting.

On “Idol,” Megan Joy finally got kicked off the show. Was she a bit nutso this week flapping around like a bird or what! Next week I imagine Anoop or Scott will go. Also I cannot believe Allison keeps ending up in the bottom three. What show are people watching? Clearly not the same show I am!

That Means You’re Out! Avita Zein Bravo

That Means You’re Out! Avita Zein Bravo

Posted by Dustin on 04.02.2009 at 5:14 pm

The long wait is finally over! “Project Runway,” which has been held up due to a legal battle between NBC (owners of Bravo) and Lifetime (who bought the rights to “Runway”) will soon be on our screens. The legal battle finally ended, with Lifetime walking away with the right and NBC apparently satisfied with whatever outcome they got it in all.

The new season of “Project Runway” hits Lifetime this summer. However there is more! It seems two spin-offs will run too. The first is “Models of the Runway,” which by the title will follow the model’s competition that goes along with the designer’s competition on the main show. There is also something called “Project Pygmalion,” which I’m not sure what the concept is.

Post Note: “Project Pygmalion” is a make-over show/competition.

Medium March Thoughts

Medium March Thoughts

Posted by Dustin on 04.01.2009 at 5:37 pm

I’ve fallen behind with recapping “Medium,” but wanted to post some thoughts. First of all, this show is just as awesome as ever. It’s no wonder out of all of NBC’s shows, this is one of their few steady performers in the ratings. I just wish NBC would give it a full season, no more of this half season BS!

I am loving Joe’s story with his company. On the latest episode a former employee from his old company was suing him, claiming he stole his solar invention. OMG! They made us wait until the last second for the resolve, where Joe proved the guy was out for money and a liar. I had faith in Joe, but I was cursing up a storm thinking they would not resolve this and leave it hanging.

Alison’s cases are getting to me. They are not taking the neat and clean easy way out anymore. That’s good, but also aggravating. Sometimes you wanna see the bad people put away! This last episode with the couple involved in killing another couple, I was left dumbfounded at the end. I wasn’t sure who killed the couple and who was lying to protect the other! The week before with the FBI agents ghost and the kid he was using, I did NOT see that shocking ending at all. Kudos!

I’m missing out on the story with Lee and Lynn. I’d like to see more of it, we haven’t heard about them in weeks! Something tells me it was written in for the actresses’ real life pregnancy though.
