Ghost Whisperer: Trapped In The Floor

On the last new episode of “Ghost Whisperer,” Melinda met the ghost of a woman who seemed to be a bit confused. At first she didn’t know she was dead. When she accepted that, she was upset to find her husband had a new wife . . . . she’d been dead for two years and lost! The husband claimed she was bi-polar and walked out on him, never to come back. She refused to believe that, and soon began to remember more and more. As it turned out, the man wasn’t her husband at all. He had kidnapped her, held her hostage, then basically brainwashed her into believing she was his wife. When he tired of her, he killed her and moved onto his next victim . . . his current wife. Melinda saved the new wife and helped the ghost wife rest in peace, as well as giving her real husband and two sons answers.

Sam/Jim meanwhile had found an engagement ring among his things. At first he decided not to go looking for this woman, as he’d only end up hurting her as he had the rest of his family. However after the story broke in the paper about the man who had kidnapped the women, Sam/Jim decided to find the woman he was going to propose to. He felt she needed to know where he was and what happened to him, as to not leave her hanging like the dead woman’s family was.

So it looks like we are going to deal with a love triangle coming up between Jim and Melinda and Sam and the old girlfriend. I have to say I am not in love with this story. I don’t think Jim and Melinda needed a reboot to their relationship. I’m sure Melinda will find out she is pregnant with Jim’s baby, but I think that could have been enough of a reboot. They could have made some storyline out of the baby and maybe how being pregnant affected Melinda’s powers or something.

  1. This was definitely a filler episode. I don’t feel like anything was accomplished with Jim/Sam and Mel at all, but the ghost part wasn’t bad. I have to admit, I’m actually liking Eli more, but he’s still no Payne.
