Ghost Whisperer: SOS
On the latest episode of “Ghost Whisperer,” Melinda and Jim set sail on a cruise ship for their anniversary. It was to be the last voyage of the ship, which was filled with ghosts. Melinda met one ghost, a woman who was on a cruise around the world when she died. She knew she didn’t have long, and decided to stick around and make the cruise last forever. She was her guide on the ship, introducing her to all the other ghosts seemingly stuck on the ship.
The problem ghost however was a young woman, who seemed to haunt men in a certain cabin. It turned out she kept mistaking them for her fiancee, who she blamed for her death somehow. She was luring men into jumping overboard! As it turned out, the fiancee was on board that ship for the last sale, and owned the whole company. He had met the woman years ago while cruising, she was an American au pair in Brazil. He proposed in only a week, and she snuck on board the ship after they set sail to be with him. However a woman his family wanted him to marry was on board too, and she saw them together sharing a goodbye kiss. She misunderstood, which lead to her fleeing and falling to her death.
Melinda helped the man, who never knew what happened to the woman he love find peace, as well as the ghost herself. All the other ghosts on the ship also were suddenly able to go into the light, save for the one woman who decided to continue her cruise around the world. It seemed the owner had a change of heart and wasn’t taking the boat out of commission.
Melinda and Jim returned home, where Melinda found herself very ill feeling. Could she be pregnant?
All in all one of the better episodes this season, though definitely one of the more gruesome “Ghost Whisperers” with all the grisly deaths the ghosts suffered. I loved finally seeing Melinda and Jim get some real on-screen time together for a change. I didn’t however fully understand how saving the one angry ghost somehow freed every other ghost on board to go into the light.
Hey Dustin, i think the reason the other Ghosts were able to go into the light too, was cause Eli on Melinda’s behalf told the ghosts relatives what the ghosts wanted them to know, so they were ready to go into the light too, thats what i think 🙂
on the preveiws for the next gw and in two weeks from from this friday, something will happen that will change melinda’s life forever!! i think that will be when jim will die:( i think the show is making a mistake by getting rid of jim tho i heard the actor will be sticking around tho as a ghost and won’t be going into the light yet!!

I didn’t think about that, I just groaned and thought Jamie Kennedy must have some “I must be in every episode” clause and that’s how they worked him in lol.
I agree, I don’t want Jim to die 🙁 I’m hoping something so insane is planned we don’t see it coming . . . oh and it so better not be some Jim’s soul reborn in their baby story. That’s just, um, EW

i totally agree about jamie kenedys charater Eli, he is kinda out there hahaha what i hope happens is at some point, they bring back payne i miss him he was so good for the show! i think if his new show Gary unmarried doesn’t make it, its possible professor payne could return, well i hope he does 🙂 specially if jim dies! cause i honestly think there is feelings there for melinda that go way beyond friendship!
on the Eli note i agree with you on another post you wrote awhile back, that maybee there will be a GW spin off starring jamie kenedy lol i like jamie kenedy but i don’t like the charter of Eli that much, but noone can replace Payne 😀
i think when jim dies it will be like the movie Ghost a love story that will last past death with jim sticking around and being there for melinda and there baby!

I loved Melinda and Jim working together, they made such a cute team! It’s so nice to see a married couple on tv that actually gets along without all the fighting. I do agree that all of the ghosts just happened to have their business taken care of by Eli and to wrap up the story, they just all went into the light at the same time. I also agree about Eli, Payne was a much better sidekick.
