Jamie Kennedy Joins Ghost Whisperer
Jamie Kennedy will join “Ghost Whisperer” next season as Eli, a psychology graduate student at Grandview University, who makes friends with Jennifer Love Hewitt’s character Melinda Gordon.
Jamie Kennedy will take over the “friend” role that Jay Mohr has been playing as Professor Rick Payne, the anthropology professor at the school.
For those worried, HR is indicating that Mohr/Rick appears in the first few episodes and then goes on sabbatical. He will NOT be killed off, as many feared from the season finale.
From leaked character casting info on Eli, it looks like he first meets Melinda because he has a ghost. It probably isn’t a stretch to see he’ll become interested in parapsychology and fill Rick’s position as the ghost guy.
