Season Finale Chats?

Season Finale Chats?

Posted by Dustin on 05.11.2008 at 2:22 pm

I’m not sure if this is anything anyone would be interested in, but I thought I’d throw it out anyway. Tonight is the “Brothers and Sisters” season finale, and other ABC shows are soon to follow. I thought it might be fun, if enough want to, to gather in the chatroom and discuss the shows as the finales are going on. This is something I’ve done with my friends before, actually we usually all gather and talk about “Housewives” on Sundays and they talk about “Lost” (and of course I’m lost!) on Thursday’s.

So if you are interested head into The Chatroom and poke around. If enough people show an interest I might have to make rooms for the shows on any given night. Currently the chatroom dumps everyone into “The Lobby.” Other rooms can be created by users for various shows at any given time/night.

I’ll be in there tonight (I’m usually there every night actually) for “Brothers and Sisters” if anyone wants to watch and discuss. I am on eastern time though, so if your west coast, you might not want to show up unless you want to be spoiled 🙂

Super-sized Heroes Season 3 Premier

Super-sized Heroes Season 3 Premier

Posted by Dustin on 05.11.2008 at 2:14 pm

Previously I posted that when “Heroes” returns on September 15th that there would be a one hour episode before the premier that serves as a recap of last season (ala “Lost”). Well EW.com is now reporting that the season premier of “Heroes” will be two hours! So it’s a 1 hour recap followed by a two hour premier.

Ghost Whisperer: Daddy’s Not Dead?

Ghost Whisperer: Daddy’s Not Dead?

Posted by Dustin on 05.10.2008 at 8:54 pm

On the most recent episode of “Ghost Whisperer” they through a big curve-ball into play. I was pleasantly surprised and can’t wait to see how they end this season next week.

Melinda found herself with a case number, given to her by a private detective looking into her father’s “death.” He was of course possessed when he gave it to her. She researched it and it turned out to be a case her father prosecuted of a “murdered boy.” The man accused (and convicted?) later died, after suffering burns in a fire.

Melinda went to talk to the family of the boy, who of course was living in the house not only as a ghost, but the mother was still talking care of him and his cousins could see him and would play with him. Just great! And people think Melinda is nuts? Worse yet, the boy had learned to possess his cousins so he could hug his mommy and feel her arms around her. Creepy! Not only did he possess people, he was violent as well. He tried to kill Melinda to keep her from ruining things for him. Nice kid!

As it turned out, the dead boy wasn’t murdered at all. He went off in the woods, where he shouldn’t have gone, and climbed a tree, which he shouldn’t have done, and fell to his death. He then lead another man, who could see ghosts, to his body. Unfortunately that man got blamed for his murder and was prosecuted by Melinda’s father.

Speaking of shockers, Melinda’s dad is alive! She found him at Gabriel’s place, or Gabriel at his, I wasn’t completely sure. It not only seems he’s alive, but has no clue as to what is going on with Melinda and he has no idea why Gabriel hates his sister so much. Melinda put the pieces together and began to figure things out . . . . It seems her father has been getting possessed by the guy he prosecuted and put away for the boy’s death. He’s been possessing the father and then essentially beating the crap out of his body for years as punishment. The man in the mask she saw as a little girl, the possessed guy. Her husband figured out the mask is like the ones burn victims wear to protect their burns from infection. When her father appeared to her as a ghost it was when the spirit had pushed him out of his body to control it.

That was a pretty good twist that I didn’t see coming, so kudos to “Ghost Whisperer.” I have to wonder where they are taking this. It looks like the ghost may have realized he was found out, or lead Melinda to discover the truth on purpose, and we were left wondering if Melinda’s father is even alive at this point. Has the ghost offed him completely? Also why did her dad’s “spirit” seem so evil when it was out of his body? Something tells me the true villain might turn out to be Gabriel who is somehow using his father as well.

Grey’s Anatomy: Man Whores

Grey’s Anatomy: Man Whores

Posted by Dustin on 05.09.2008 at 7:31 pm

Grey\'s Manwhore! This episode of “Grey’s” saw the nurses revolting and refusing to work on Mark’s surgeries because he’s been such a man whore around the hospital. This also led to the return of Adele as a union rep for the nurses who filed a grievance. To settle things and keep any lawsuits from happening, a date and tell policy was enacted. Basically anyone in the hospital who dated one another had to put it on paper and sign it to avoid any lawsuits. Now I’m no lawyer, but I don’t know how legal this is. I mean I would think this gets in the way of people’s civil liberties and rights to privacy. I think this would be especially true for, oh I don’t know, possible lesbians who aren’t out or don’t want to come out?

The Chief meanwhile tried to prove to Adele he had changed, that he wasn’t working as much, and he made up some silly job for George which he called “The Chief’s Intern” in order to help him with his work load. Adele was impressed, enough to end up in bed with The Chief, but poor George wasn’t too happy when he finally realized he’d been bamboozled. Someone cut George a break for once please! I’m so hoping the spoiler for him for the season finale is what I’ve been hoping for.

Izzie struggled with not compromising the whole doctor-patient confidentiality thing with Ava’s condition to Alex, who is gung-ho about having this baby. Something is wrong with Ava obviously. She couldn’t be so stupid as to fake being pregnant and then come to the hospital. She must think she is pregnant. Something tells me the truth is going to be something shocking and potentially fatal for her.

The hospital found out that Burke had won some prestigious award, which sent Yang over the edge. She spent a long time in the morgue doing grunt work singing “Like A Virgin.” Hahn wasn’t happy either, she was in the running but thinks she was looked over because she doesn’t have a penis. That statement caught poor Callie off guard! Back to Yang though, Christina finally unloaded her anger at the end when asked to put her relationship with Burke on paper for the hospital’s policy. First I have to say, if something is in the past why bother? In case he comes back to sue? Oh well, whatever. I was proud of Christina for letting loose, letting everyone know that Burke won that award and there was no mention of her in his article. How she did all his surgeries while he was unable to because of his hand tremors. How he chose to leave but she stayed here, even though Hahn treats her like crap and won’t teach her. Go Christina! That’s the first time I’ve liked her in awhile. Something tells me this award issue could bring her and Hahn together . . . no not like that! That would be a shocker though!

Back to Callie and Hahn . . . Hahn finally confronted Callie about dating Mark. Actually she was basically just using him for sex really, sex all over the hospital whenever she felt like it. Callie finally admitted to her what Addison said about them being a couple and how it shook her. They both laughed, but then had this strange look at each other and it wasn’t so funny anymore. Somethings definitely going on here!

Mer-Der continues with their clinical trial. This week a soldier was brought in. As it turned out, his army buddy who came along for moral support was more than a buddy. Don’t ask, don’t tell, just get yourselves to the nearest motel! When the patient’s father caught them in a big smooch, he wasn’t happy at all. Of course the poor guy bit the dust shortly after the operation. Meredith then had her session with Dr. Wyatt, trying to convince her all in all it was a good day. Sick of her crapola, and the fact they were running out of sessions her health insurance would cover, she gave it to her with both barrels blazing. Wyatt said the gay soldier died today not being able to tell the man he loved that he loved him, and this was basically a metaphor for her and Derrek. Derrek is with Rose right now and not her, stop being a coward and get what she wants before it’s too late. Loved it! Of course Meredith just stormed out angry over being called a coward. Grrrr!

In the hilarious moment of the episode, sick of Mark moping because all his surgeries were canceled, Baily rounded up the nurses and told them all to stop complaining and do their jobs, they all knew Mark was a whore when they all slept with him. So true! Don’t whine that you got the wham-bam-thank-you-mam treatement when he’s known for it. Of course the real line was later in the elevator. As Mark contemplated to Derrek if he was anything more than a whore, Derrek admitted he slept with Rose . . . and thought about Meredith the whole time. Now who is the bigger whore? Ouch! Poor Rose is going to get her heart broken. I don’t know what she was thinking dating him in the first place, the whole hospital has to know his and Meredith’s history at this point.

Ugly Betty Moves To New York!

Ugly Betty Moves To New York!

Posted by Dustin on 05.07.2008 at 1:19 pm

“Ugly Betty” takes place in New York City, but is actually filmed on a lot in LA. It looks like when they start shooting the third season though, they’ll be filming in New York! A large reason for the said move is that New York offers a film tax credit which would save them oodles of money. As of yet no official word has been given confirming this move, but numerous sources are reporting it as fact. If true, up to 150 people working on the show could lose their jobs.
