“Grey’s” creator Shonda Rhimes gave an interview to TV Guide with some sneak peaks of what to expect. Some things we’ve already heard from her, like the Grizie break-up, Addison’s brief visit/return and Mer-Der getting back together by the end of the season. A few things are new.
Something big is in store for Callie soon. Callie and the new heart-doc Hahn moved in together and are sharing Burke’s old place last we saw.
Loretta Divine, the Chief’s wife, will be returning at some point.
Christina finally has to face the loss of Burke and questions about her career and future.
McSteamy’s character deals with his own issues and flaws as the sex-pot doctor.
When “Brothers and Sisters” returns the first few episodes will revolve around many topics. Scotty and Kevin apparently decide to get married, while Nora is offered a proposal from Isaac . . . move to Washington DC with her. Kitty undergoes fertility treatments to conceive, but the real conception story we all want to get to the bottom of is of course Rebecca’s.
When we last left the show, Rebecca was wondering if in fact William Walker was her father, or was her mother’s old boyfriend David a possibility. When the show returns we are set to learn the answer by the second or third new episode.
An article in the New York Daily News confirms a huge twist coming up that will change things for Rebecca. It’s almost as if they are screaming nope she’s not Williams. This wouldn’t mean the end of her, it sets her up for a romance and marriage to Justin (Dave Annabel’s character). So in the end, Rebecca would still be a “Walker.”
Hold on a minute, this could be potentially character killing for one Holly Harper (Patricia Wettig). I mean she is basically where she is with her money and orchard because William left her all this assuming that Rebecca was his daughter. She will come off looking the the witch of a character she was introduced as. This makes me think the surprise twist might be something bigger.
When Rebecca does a DNA test, something tells me she’ll be comparing her DNA to Justin’s. So if it shows they don’t share the same father that doesn’t mean William isn’t Rebecca’s father . . . if you catch my drift. The biggest shock of all would be to have had Nora have her own affair and gotten knocked up with Justin!
This week Mariah Carey was the mentor and all the stars performed her various songs, or songs she’s covered in the case of Carly.
Many probably feel it’s been long overdue . . . . Kristy Lee Cook was voted off “American Idol” tonight. I think next week, unless she performs a miracle, will be Syesha’s week, followed by Brooke or Carly. Kudos to Carly though, who called Simon out for seemingly being overly-tough on her. He said that he sees her potential to be great, that is why he’s so critical on her.
I’ve made no attempt to hide that I want Jason Castro off the show. I loved Randy’s comments this week that he felt like he was at an odd luau. I will admit the guy can sing, maybe not as well as some of the others, it’s the fact that all his songs seem to be arranged in the exact same way with the bongos and classical guitars. Enough!
In the end though, I think it will come down to David A. and David C. as the final two.
Next week is Andrew Lloyd Weber week, the week after will be the final mentor Neil Diamond (unless there is some surprise announcements).
Natalie and Sharron were put on the block by Sheila, who is hoping Natalie would be voted out. The boys confronted Sheila because they all found out she’s been playing both sides, but she gave a sob story claiming she was loyal to them. Last night Ryan and Adam began having second thoughts about sending Natalie out. They felt Sharron hadn’t done anything for them, and if they kept Sharron then she and Sheila could team up against them. However if they get Sharron out, they think they can get Natalie out easy a week after.
Sheila was furious when she learned this and warned Sharron. Sharron went to Ryan, who kept assuring her that she was safe. Meanwhile the boys keep telling Natalie she is safe as well! A blow up between Adam and Sheila happened, with Adam calling her an bleeping bitch! She threw him out of her HOH and was sobbing, fearing if they kept Natalie then she would be sent home next week.
Adam and Ryan then contemplated splitting their vote and letting Sheila get the blood of voting Natalie out on her hands. Sheila wasn’t worried as Natalie was one vote in the jury house and she already knows she won’t have her vote anyway.
Ryan voted to evict Natalie, Adam Sharon and that left Sheila as a tie breaker which was a no brainer for her . . . . Natalie is out! Natalie was just stunned and ended up in tears as she said goodbye to everyone.
In the HOH competition it came to a tie between Ryan and Sharron, and Ryan won. This pretty much means he’ll put up Sharron and Sheila next week, and unless Sharron wins POV to take herself off, she’ll probably go home.
An odd twist has been injected into the game in a mean way too. The HOH was a game called fact or fiction, and one of the questions was whether there was still an existing relationship going on in the house since before the beginning of the game. The answer was fact, but the twist to the answer is it’s the guinea pigs! At the end of the show the remaining four were trying to figure out who is in a relationship of some kind!
First my apologies for not getting a recap of last nights dances up. I had some issues going on last night and did my best to at least write down the scores and dance for each contestant. It was “Latin Night” so they were dancing the rumba or the samba.
Christian and Cheryl danced the rumba and got 23.
Marlee and Fabian danced the samba and got a 22.
Kristy and Mark danced the samba and 29, including 2 10s.
Derek and Shannon danced the samba and got 23.
Jason and Edyta danced the rumba and got a 27.
Mario and Edyta danced the rumba for a 27.
Priscilla and and Louis danced the samba and got a 21.
Marissa and Tony danced the samba and got a 24.
Aside from Jason, Mario and and Kristy, who were the front runners, it was a night full of 8s and 7s for many of the dancers.
Tonight it was Christian and Priscilla in the bottom two and Priscilla was the one to go home.
As Tom would say . . . Priscilla is leaving us tonight on “Dancing With The Stars.”
Comments Off on Dancing With The Stars: Leaving This Week . . .
The following are some spoilers set to air in about an hour on Big Brother, with a little extra thrown in.
This week Sheila won HOH, mainly because Ryan and Natalie made a deal to let her win assuming she won’t put them on the block. She agreed, and Adam and Sharron went up.
During the after dark sessions, Natalie has been very close to Sheila it seems, probably all game play.
In the POV Adam wins and saves himself, so Sheila puts up . . . . Natalie!
It looks like Nat could finally get the boot tomorrow, but as always, who knows! Both Sheila and Ryan don’t think they can trust Natalie at all, they can’t tell whose side she is on. That’s easy, she’s on her own side! I think Adam will vote Natalie out, but Ryan who knows. It could be a tie breaker from Shiela!
So one of the issues I’ve had with a lot of the recent episodes of “Medium” is that the bad guys aren’t getting caught. Low and behold with the latest episode we had the return of one of these! Agent Cooper from the FBI returned to Phoenix on the trail of another serial killer. Allison ran into him before. Cooper was a profiler for the FBI, but when the system failed to catch the killers, he would kill them himself because he saw it as justice being served (how “Dexter”). Well Allison appeared to dream that he went and killed the latest serial killer, and she wasn’t going to let him get away with it again. As it turned out, the killer killed Cooper! So Cooper ended up dead, but asked Allison to help him catch the killer. Allison had dreams of what the killer looked like, but Cooper claimed she was wrong and described another man. It turns out Cooper sent her on a wild goose chase. In the end the real killer died in a car accident, which Cooper knew would happen. So even in death, he made it so that he still got his style of justice. The killer this time was caught, but in a way, not really.
Meanwhile Joe in this episode was busy pitching his new business idea trying to get a buyer. Kelly Preston began her guest star run this week as someone interested in Joe’s idea. However she wanted 51 percent of the profits and ownership, leaving Joe with 49 percent. Joe refused to do this as he was giving up control, but Megan (Kelly) convinced him he wouldn’t get a better deal than this from anyone, so he signed on. Something tells me Megan wants more than Joe’s solar cell invention, she wants his body!
I am still hoping to see the new evil DA ousted and Devalas back in charge. I am really missing him on the show!
Episode number two post-strike and Sam is trying to dig her way out of the gigantic hole she dug last week with Todd. Of course he is listening to the message as she leaves it – the comparison of not returning phone calls to pretending she and Todd had sex to get rid of Chloe probably had Miss Manners blushing! She tells the elevator full of people (guys?) “Trust me, the new girlfriend’s no prize either”. New Sam calls a spade a spade…
This morning is the annual meeting with Mr. Funk of Chapman and Funk. Mr. Chapman thinks his name is first because he works so hard and Sam points out she always thought it was alphabetical. Hmmm. Pan around the conference table and it seems Andrea has a thing for Mr. Funk. Ms. Cool as a cucumber/man-eater Andrea can’t even get a coherent word out when she comes face-to-face with the man. After all, who wouldn’t revert to a giggly, teenage girl when presented with a cute, newly-divorced billionaire? ? There’s just a slight glitch for Andrea… Mr. Funk has his sights set on Sam! He pops the question to Sam with the Rock of Gibraltar. While Old Sam probably would have completely gone with the engagement – just to keep the ring! – New Sam lets the cat out of the bag about her amnesia. (For those of you too young to remember REO Speedwagon, they were part of that “80’s Era” music the rest of us loved in high school. ?)
Sam is pouring her heart out to Dena about the events of the day in the Dog Park and Dena starts spouting about the romance novel she’s writing. The Heroine is based on Sam – a beautiful blonde amnesiac with a dark past and uncertain future. Is the heroine willing to risk everything she has to win the stable boy she loves or will she just give up and throw herself on some rocks. Sam says rocks. lol
Poor Sam still can’t give up on talking to Todd. She knows his routine so well shes standing behind him in the coffee shop leaving the message telling him what he’s doing. He’ll have his coffee and cinnamon roll and then run off the calories in the park like a girl. Ouch! New Sam tries to be honest about how she feels but Todd shuts her down.
And so her yearning for the stable boy, unrequited, our heroine headed through the dark of night – AKA a dejected Sam heads home to Mom and Dads.
And Mr. Funk is at Sam’s house. Wow. Wasn’t expecting that! Winston has asked her dad for her hand in marriage?? Low and behold, Winston is an old fashioned guy. Dad didn’t even have to think about the answer. Sam and her mom head for the kitchen and argue about why she won’t marry Winston and Dad pops in – he has to show Winston his jet. lol Sam walks Winston to the limo telling him that her mom will want her container back. ? It turns out Sam hasn’t seen snow since the accident. *Snap* and we have snow. Just when it looks like there might be a good night kiss Mom shows up for a photo op.
The next morning we’re in the conference room again and Sam laughs at Winston’s snow joke. Of course Andrea picks up on this and swoops down on a waiting Sam in the ladies room. Andrea lambasts her. Sam blurts out the events of the night before AND that there was a history with “Old Me”. Why Andrea would have expected anything less of Old Sam is a bit of a mystery.
More coffee and commiseration with Dena and Winston’s limo driver, Roger, walks in. Sam finally decides she can do whatever she wants and heads out to meet Winston. No marriage, but he can buy her a cup of coffee – NOT a franchise – some time. LOL. Cupcakes. Apparently Roger’s wife bakes them (he doesn’t share well with others) so the limo – not Winston – smells like cupcakes. Sam flashes to a memory with Andrea and realizes she has to go take care of something.
Andrea is sitting on the bench outside of The Sweet Sugar Bake Shop. Sam isn’t sure why she’s there but she knows that was their “spot” when they wanted to feel better but she didn’t remember why. “We sit here to smell the cupcakes. It’s like eating them but with none of the calories.” Gotta love girl logic when it comes to calories. Low and behold, they sabotaged jobs for each other because they didn’t want to lose one another. One VERY awkward hug and all is well again.
We close with Sam eating a cupcake amongst a sea of flowers. The doorbell rings and there’s a snow globe with a card reading “Snap and shake”. (Nice touch, Winston.) The bell rings again and in walks Todd. It seems the tabloid picture of Sam and Winston struck a nerve with Todd because that was one heck of a kiss he laid on Sam for a man who never wanted to see her again!
