Brother and Sisters Upcoming Surprise
Spoilerish and speculation ahead!
When “Brothers and Sisters” returns the first few episodes will revolve around many topics. Scotty and Kevin apparently decide to get married, while Nora is offered a proposal from Isaac . . . move to Washington DC with her. Kitty undergoes fertility treatments to conceive, but the real conception story we all want to get to the bottom of is of course Rebecca’s.
When we last left the show, Rebecca was wondering if in fact William Walker was her father, or was her mother’s old boyfriend David a possibility. When the show returns we are set to learn the answer by the second or third new episode.
An article in the New York Daily News confirms a huge twist coming up that will change things for Rebecca. It’s almost as if they are screaming nope she’s not Williams. This wouldn’t mean the end of her, it sets her up for a romance and marriage to Justin (Dave Annabel’s character). So in the end, Rebecca would still be a “Walker.”
Hold on a minute, this could be potentially character killing for one Holly Harper (Patricia Wettig). I mean she is basically where she is with her money and orchard because William left her all this assuming that Rebecca was his daughter. She will come off looking the the witch of a character she was introduced as. This makes me think the surprise twist might be something bigger.
When Rebecca does a DNA test, something tells me she’ll be comparing her DNA to Justin’s. So if it shows they don’t share the same father that doesn’t mean William isn’t Rebecca’s father . . . if you catch my drift. The biggest shock of all would be to have had Nora have her own affair and gotten knocked up with Justin!

hmm I hope Justin doesn’t turn out not to be a Walker. But he is kind of the black sheep of the family so that might explain why.
I don’t necessarily think Holly would lose the money William left her because she said from the beginning she never told William Rebecca was his daughter.

She might not, but there was some weird amount of money set aside from what I could recall and they didn’t know what it was. I think it was the lands for the orchard or something and the password to get to it was the initials from all the kids names, including Rebecca.
I also seem to recall Holly claiming Rebecca was due something too as one of William’s kids. But your right, she never told him he was hers, but he figured she was.

I remember the episode where she Sarah finally figured out the password. She was writing letters down the left side of a page – there was something William used to do with their names – plates or something?? – and it was only when she added the R on the end that she could get into the accounts.
So Dustin, you think Rebecca will ask Justin to do a comparison to her to see if they are a 50/50 match and it will turn out they’re not siblings, but it’ll be that William and Holly are Rebecca’s parents and Nora and _____ are Justin’s?

I’m not sure if they would do that, but that would be a bigger twist than having Rebecca not be William’s after all . . . because people have speculated about that one.

Yeah, and it sorta fits. Now I’m scratching my head wondering who the heck who Daddy could be for Justin. Not Chevy Chase. Was the Treat Williams character Nora did the hip bumping with after William died part of Nora’s past as well?

I hope both Justin and Rebecca remain Walkers. If TPTB change Rebecca’s paternity it would be to predictable and basically undo all the s/l thus far.
If Justin is not a Walker that would mean Nora was having an affair too before she found out that William was having an affair, and I don’t think Nora would be cheating on William since up until she found out about the affair she thought they had a good solid marriage.
I hope TPTB don’t change either paternity just to put them together as a couple.
Why are Scotty and Kevin getting married ugh. I love Kevin but I don’t like Scotty and IMO those two are far from marriage considering they just got back together again. I was really hoping Kevin and Jason would reunite.

I would rather see them both be walkers too, to change it is way to daytime soapish for me.
I also rather have Kevin with Jason, but Eric Winter landed a role on Moonlight so he won’t be back this season it seems.
From what I’ve heard, one reason they are getting married is because Scotty needs the benefits that Kevin’s job can give him. Seriously, I hope that is not the major reason here as it seems to do a disservice to the gay positive vibe the show has had so far.

I think Scotty is cute w/ Kevin (of course not as cute as Eric Winter, but who is?) Since Eric Winter keeps getting new shows and seems determined not to stick around, I have to root for Kevin and Scotty! But I also wish they would not get married for insurance- that is not romantic at all. Anyway they seem determined for Kevin not to be happy so that is probably the route they will take- marriage for the wrong reasons and thus the problems ensue…
Not sure I could handle Rebecca and Justin together- seems incestuous even if they are not really related. I kinda see it going this way tho.

I thought she hadn’t seen Chevy Chase’s character since she “picked” William to marry. High school maybe?
Do we know if William has any brothers?

We’ve never heard if William had any siblings actually.

I know this is all hypothetical talk anyway, but I just don’t see the show taking the route of Nora having an affair. However, I could see the show taking the angle of Justin being the result of a rape. That would definitely add the drama the show typically goes for. As well as another reason for Justin to be tempted to use drugs again.

A rape could also be what Sarah discovers. Boy would that be a curve ball.
Holly totally opened the door for Rebecca to not be William’s so maybe neither Justin or Rebecca are Walkers by birth???
