Dancing With The Stars: Impressions Of The Women
So last night was the men, tonight was the women. Overall I felt that the women did better than the men. Anyway, onto their performances!
Shannon Elizabeth and Derek Hough – They danced the Cha Cha Cha to, big surprise, some song I don’t know! (Shut Up and Drive?) I thought they were great, looked like they were having fun and being playful. Shannon seemed a bit stiff in places. The judges told her that she need to work on her leg work. They received a 7, 7 and a 7.
Monica Seles and Jonathan Roberts – They danced the Foxtrot to that song “Crinkles” (I think that is what it is called). Monica was very stiff and looked almost petrified. Her footwork was a bit off, I thought she was about to trip at one point. The judges felt she needed to work on being more light on the floor and to work on her core. They got a 5, 5 and a 5.
Marissa Jaret Winokur and Tony Dovolani – They danced the Cha Cha Cha to that song “Shorty Got Low.” You could tell she was having the time of her life, she might want to close her mouth a little though as it looked like she was always about to scream something. A little too much hip-hop dancing for me. The judges said that she had great style, but there wasn’t enough content for a Cha Cha and too much Solid Gold dancing. They received a 6, 6, and a 6.
Priscilla Presley and Louis Van Amstel – They danced the Foxtrot to a song I don’t know, a very bluesy song. She was very good on her feet, her upper body movements looked a little odd. The judges said that it was a beautiful and fluid dance, to watch her posture and shoulders, but a great job. They got a 8, 8 and a 8.
Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas – They danced the Foxtrot to an old big band song I don’t really know (notice a theme?). She was having fun, and it was a great performance all over. The judges said it was wicked, it was played beautifully, one of the best first performances, she made it look effortless. They received a 9, 9 and a 9.
Marlee Matlin and Fabian Sanchez – They danced the Cha Cha Cha to “Get On Your Feet.” Marlee did an amazing job, better than some of her competition male and female for sure! The judges told her that she was unbelievable and inspiring, but they will be judging her based on her dancing. They said she was fluid, moved with ease, it was amazing. They got a 7, 7 and 8.
On Wednesday (I think) one man and one woman will go home in the first ever double elimination.
The song that Priscilla danced to was ‘Feeling GOod’ I know it from Michael Buble <3
Monicas song was Bubbly by Colbie Caillat
Shut up and drive was correct and that’s all i’ve seen so far lol
