NBC Announces Returning Shows!
Posted by Dustin on 02.14.2008 at 11:15 am
Two big official press releases from NBC have come out detailing the rest of the line-up for this season, as well as what has been renewed for next season. Alas it looks like we won’t get any new “Heroes” until the fall. Additionally it looks like “Journeyman” AND “Bionic Woman” are both goners. For “Friday Night Lights” fans, again no mention of that show either I’m afraid.

Cashmere Mafia: The Girls Had Bad Days!
Posted by Dustin on 02.14.2008 at 1:06 am
Wow what a depressing, yet at the same time liberating episode of “Cashmere Mafia” tonight. First, I was of course only partially paying attention. I had some stuff due tomorrow, so I was doing too much at once again! So I’ll just give a brief recap and some thoughts on tonight for what happened with each girl.
Zoe and her scum bag of a partner had a big client/account coming up . . . and in the end her partner took all the credit for Zoe’s work and got a promotion. Zoe couldn’t take it and said “I quit!” Good for her, but I wonder where this is leading? I mean clearly she won’t become a stay at home mom while her hubby goes out and seeks his job. That isn’t really the premise of this show!
Juliet thought Davis had a heart attack and ran to his bed side. It turned out he had a panic attack. Once out of the hospital, he served her with divorce papers, saying his lawyer claimed her bedside vigil was to ingratiate herself to him and see how much she could take him for. Juliet told him after 15 some years of marriage, she knows what he has to offer. Excuse me but isn’t he the one hurting for money here? I was assuming he’d be going after her money!
Mia was on a mission to get a DVD back from Jack, a sex DVD. She was afraid Jack or his new girlfriend might leak it out of spite. She got it back, but she seemed to get Jack back too. They had some serious sex . . . but then Mia dumped his arse! Turns out Jack wanted her back, because he got a new job and now felt her equal. She told him she couldn’t be worried about who had the better resume in this relationship and set him packing. Amen!
Finally Caitlin met Alicia’s ex, who returned after learning about the baby. A little relationship issue struggle went on. Caitlin was ready to commit to the idea of being with Alicia and having this baby, but Alicia turned around and dumped her deciding she wanted the ex back! All I can say is Alicia’s loss. How pathetic was it that she took back the woman who dumped her and left her? I thought it was big time pathetic, and it seemed like she only came back because of the whole baby thing. Blah! Caitlin is better off without her, but I hope she figures out her sexual identity soon.
Project Runway: Bryant Park Here We Come!
Posted by Dustin on 02.14.2008 at 12:55 am
Uhg, what to say about tonight’s “Project Runway!” Tonight the challenge was for them to choose one piece of art from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and make an outfit based on it. Two were supposed to be out, leaving three for Bryant Park. I was so sure that it would be Sweat Pea and Rhami, because their outfits were not up to par at all compared to Christian, Jillian and Chris. Sweet Pea got the boot, Jillian and Christian were safe . . . . . but they kept both Rhami and Chris! It was a tie, they decided come fashion week, they’ll be judged on their three strongest pieces from their collection to determine who shows. Grrrrr! Are you kidding me! I’m sorry Rhami makes nice dressed, but they have been BORING! He should have been gone. As for who I think will win? I am praying Jillian will, but I fear Christian will. His attitude just turns me off. I want to reach in and smack him.

So tonight the final 24 were finally chosen for American Idol, and the competition and voting begins next week! I don’t have too many comments yet, I need to see the final 24 perform. The singing nurse is the one that stands out as someone I do remember well though. I just hope she can be more diverse with her voice and range.
Big Brother: Eviction Ceremony and New HOH
Posted by Dustin on 02.13.2008 at 8:54 pm
As always, west coast viewers turn away!
So in tonight’s episode, Adam and Sheila still are arguing up a storm. I’m sick of them already! Meanwhile Jacob started telling people that people were calling Parker a snake. Parker called a house meeting and demanded he say who he heard saying this, but he wouldn’t. Later Jacob told his partner Sharron that they should claim it was Ryan (or maybe he said it was Ryan?) Sharron then told Parker, and Parker told Jen. Jen knew Parker wanted Ryan to go, she couldn’t have that. She had to tell him that she and Ryan were dating. Ryan then felt he owed it to his partner Allison to tell him about him and Jen too. This is where it got hilarious. In the confessionals neither man trusts the other, neither woman trusts the other, and Allison thinks Ryan would be better off with a woman like her rather than Jen! Fricken hilarious!
The eviction ceremony came and it was a speed eviction, no veto, no voting . . . Jacob and Sharron are gone! I feel bad for her, but not Jacob. He was an ass from the moment he graced the screen. Meanwhile that DJ Alex, he’s also annoying me as he NEVER shuts up!
The new HOH competition was held, and Jessica and Eric hosted it! The HOH functioned just like “The Newleywed Game,” with them gaining points for matching correct answers. In the end, the winners were Alex and Amanda.
Last night Sho2 feed is now making a lot more sense. Ryan and Jen’s relationship HAS been outed to the whole house and Parker was angry with Jen over something that happened, he feels they are going home. Later in the night though they made nicey nicey. Yes, Jen cried almost all night last night . . . she is the new Waaaaamber!

As always, spoilers for those on the west coast in this post!
So first up, as of yet I haven’t signed up for the live house feeds. I’m honestly thinking this one over. Last season’s house guests were just so boring! Furthermore I have Sho2, so I can just watch it in the evenings when they were up doing their crazy stuff. We’ll see how well I like (or dislike) the guests this season. That will determine if I get the feeds.
Second, I am not liking this everyone under 30 except for the one 40 year old. What’s up with that? Couldn’t they get a bit more diverse cast?
This season, as everyone probably knows at this point, everyone in the house is single (or supposed to be) and they are being paired up with someone who could be their soul mate. The major twist . . . . they not only do everything together . . . . they get nominated and evicted together!
More twists? Yes! Two of the housemates were exes, two are a couple but aren’t letting anyone else know about it! Very interesting. It’s got to be worse for the second couple honestly. As for the first couple, I’m already having issues with Mr. Jacob. He would be the preachin bible thumper . . . . who cheated on his girlfriend. That would be why they broke up. Too bad they got paired up! Meanwhile the couple got split up and matched with other people . . . . ouch!
For the first HOH, or what they seem to be calling the “Power Couple” this season . . . it went to Jen and Parker, who also picked up 10,000 bucks as well.
Anyway, leave your thoughts on the premiere episode. I’ll blog about “After Dark” later, if there is anything worthwhile going on. Also, you can discuss all things Big Brother on the forums here!
Brothers And Sisters: The Return Of Jason
Posted by Dustin on 02.11.2008 at 11:05 pm
Finally we got “Brothers and Sisters” back! A new episode is expected next week, then more following in April. I can’t wait to see how the season ends.
Tommy and Julia continued to attempt to repair their marriage, but this week all their issues bubbled to the surface. Tommy felt Julia knew what Leena looked like, he had no clue about her affair. Julia felt they only slept together once and they were drunk, while he had an on going thing. He pointed out she left him, she blamed him for their son’s death, she wouldn’t talk to him. On and on it went. I think these two need to get themselves into counseling fast if they want to save this marriage!
Nora and Isaac finally went out on a date, just the two of them. Nora told Kitty it went well, Kitty told Nora Isaac said the same thing. For me this was the snoozer of the evening. I am just not thinking these two are that cute together honestly.
Graham and Sarah went to San Francisco to meet with some business men from China about putting Ohi Foods in their stores. Graham even tried to entice her into going out for a fun evening after, but she said no to that. They met with the people and reached a deal. Sarah seemed please and opened up to Graham a little more. She asked about that fun evening . . . .Opps he thought she had said no so he made other plans with another woman. Sarah was a tad bit jealous!
The major event of the evening though was the return of Jason! Jason came back, causing drama for Kevin and an uncertain future for Scotty. Scotty ended up insisting Jason stay for dinner, when he showed up, so they could talk. Jason agreed. Scotty pushed them to talk . . . and soon words were flying! Keven was hurt that Jason wouldn’t call, feeling he’d been left. Jason reminded Kevin he promised to wait, but again Kevin hadn’t heard from Jason. Jason’s excuse was that he thought it would make things easier if he didn’t call and talk to him, because he too missed him so much. Kevin didn’t like that answer much, and I have to say neither did I! Scotty was sure he was going to be dumped, because Kevin still loved Jason so it seemed. Kevin however told Scotty later he was the one he wanted. Scotty asked Kevin not to see Jason then, anymore than he’d have to because of the family connections. I have to say, I’m still not liking where this story is going at all. I think Kevin still is in love with Jason, but for some reason is convincing himself he wants Scotty.
Next week’s episode looks to be good, as Jason faces Robert over his gayness’ impact on his campaign, Sarah and Kevin go to a karoake bar and Sarah wakes up in bed with Graham!
