Desperate Housewives: Snip Snip!

Desperate Housewives: Snip Snip!

So this week Bree was back in true form, controlling the men in her life! She and Orson disagreed over whether to circumcise their new “son.” Bree was for, Orson against. Orson knew his wife too well, so he had already sent letters to every doctor in the area not to do it! Bree ended up hijacking a briss of a neighbor to get the snip snip done. Orson wasn’t thrilled and Bree basically coldly said it wasn’t his blood running through the kids’ veins. OUCH! This was probably the meanest moment I’ve seen from Bree on this show honestly!

Mike began popping pills galore this episode and was caught by Bree, who told Susan. Susan was convinced he was an addict and caught him with a stash of pills after he lied to her that they were an old prescription for his back, which was acting up. I was furious with how Mike turned it around on her when she confronted him! How he was working overtime to save up money for the baby and everything it would need according to Susan. How he hurt his shoulder and was using the pills to work through the pain rather than take the time off. Way to blame Susan there Mike! I couldn’t believe him, I was so angry with Mike and I almost never am. Was he lying to Susan? Was in another addict lie? I was half expecting the pipe he sneaked off to unscrew at the end had another hidden stash in it.

Victor took Gabby away on a boat for their vacation to try and reconnect, but Carlos learned Edie told Victor the truth about the affair. Carlos warned Gabby, who was convinced Victor took her out to kill her and dump her in the ocean. She beat him to it and smacked him with an oar and left him in the ocean. When Carlos came to Gabby’s rescue, and saved Victor, they fought and Victor went over again! This time it looks like Victor is really dead as they couldn’t find him. Is he dead? I don’t think so! My money is on him using this later to make sure Gabby stays with him and doesn’t put up a fuss.

Finally Katherine opened up to Dylan about her dad, because Dylan had some genealogy project in school. Katherine claimed Dylan’s dad was abusive and that is why she doesn’t have contact with him anymore. Dylan seemed to believe her mom, who was lying out the wazoo to her daughter. For now Dylan dropped the quest for her dad. I’m still betting on the fact that the dad is dead, and little Dylan may have been the one to kill him.

Writers Strike: A Chance To Cacth Up?

Writers Strike: A Chance To Cacth Up?

One good thing, maybe the only good thing, I guess I can say for the writers strike coming up, I’ll get a chance to catch up on a lot of shows I’ve fallen behind with! I’ve all but stopped watching “Journeyman” on NBC because “Weeds” plays at the same time. I finally got back into “Weeds” after I felt the first half of the season sucked. It wasn’t that I didn’t like “Journeyman,” it just didn’t seem to be making much progress. Every episode focused on a new story, but the overall story was moving slowwwwwww.

I’m still watching “Bionic Woman” on Wednesdays, but my issue with it lately has been the same with “Journeyman.” They’ve taken it in the direction that every episode is a new case, but the overall story isn’t moving anywhere. We were told Jaime would die in about 5 years and possibly suffer the same fate as her nemesis Sarah, but that hasn’t been hardly mentioned since. Don’t get me started on the fact that the entire Sarah and Andros story has suddenly just vanished!

Finally I really want to watch “Samantha Who,” but haven’t been able to as too much is on at the same time! I’m hoping when the reruns start if they aren’t showing these over again, I’ll be able to catch-up online.

Brothers And Sisters: Interventions

Brothers And Sisters: Interventions

Posted by Dustin on 11.12.2007 at 9:07 pm

So I didn’t blog about B&S last week, mainly because I came away from the whole episode angry. Kitty lost her baby, and while her whole family was there for her, Robert was secretly relieved. Meanwhile Sarah’s daughter is clearly having a hard time with her parents divorce, ran off, and Joe blamed Sarah for not watching her close enough! Uhg. Kevin meanwhile invited his homeless ex-Scotty to come live with him, and hasn’t told Reverend Boyfriend. This probably won’t end well! Justin continued to take drugs, and became interested in Lena. However Lena is too into Tommy and gave him the brush off.

In the most current episode, Tommy’s affair with the new assistant Lena continued. *Sigh* Why are they doing this? Julia is going to end up coming home to surprise Tommy and catch him bopping Lena in their bed I bet. Saul learned about the affair and let it leak to Kevin and others, who gave him a hard time. I really like Tommy, but hate what they’re doing to his character at this point.

Robert continued to deal with not wanting anymore kids, which was helped along by his bratty daughter telling her daddy she and her brother really didn’t want him to have kids with Kitty. OMG! I just sat there thinking what a little $@@#$%@#%.

Saul FINALLY came out to his sister, shocking the hell out of her, but still hasn’t officially come out to Kevin or anyone else. Their talk was interrupted and he didn’t seem to want to continue it anymore actually. I hope he tells Kevin soon and doesn’t drag it out.

Finally the whole family staged an intervention for Justin, who they learned from Rebbecca was back on drugs. Justin spit out some nasty things to half his family, but they wouldn’t give up on him and kept him under house arrest to try and get him clean on their own.

My heart is just breaking for Kitty at this point. She clearly wants a family with Robert, to even start trying again. Robert however doesn’t seem to have the guts to be honest with her. Oh and what was with him basically firing his entire campaign staff? Robert seems to be falling apart.

As of yet I don’t think these have officially been confirmed, but here are some rumors going around today.

Extra citing British reports, is saying that Nicolette Sheridan (Edie) is pregnant! The star is engaged to Michael Bolton.

To Night and other online media sites are reporting that Eva Longoria (Gabby) wants to leave “Desperate Housewives” to start a family. The star married basketball player Tony Parker over the summer.

Grey’s Anatomy: Chemistry 101

Grey’s Anatomy: Chemistry 101

All hail the end of Grizzy? The latest episode of “Grey’s” had George and Izzy desperately trying to recapture the passions of their drunken night of sex, but failing miserably. They finally, after the hour ended, had to admit it was horrible between them. Where does this leave Grizzy? Deader than dead?

The Lexi/Meredith/Alex drama continued in this episode. I know a lot of people just hate Meredith, but I’ve always loved her and found her to be quirky. Irritating, but quirky. In this episode she was just being a bitch! She didn’t want Alex to see Lexi, didn’t want any of her friends to be friends with Lexi and even told her to get her own life and own friends. I’m so tired of Meredith’s attitude towards Lexi, when it is her father she should be directing it at. I’m glad she at least finally showed a bit of progress at the end of the show when she asked Alex to take her drunk sister home from the bar. This of course is when Alex learned Meredith and Lexi’s father had become a drunk himself in the wake of his wife’s death.

The Derrick and Meredith sex games have gotten old too. Meredith needs to just commit or get off the pot. I’m not going to like watching McDreamy go on dates next week, but it may be just what Meredith needs to see.

The whole drama between Hahn and Christina continued, as Hahn clearly hates her. Will they ever get passed this? I’m afraid I’m not really caring, as Christina has been on my nerves a lot too! I did love the interaction between McSteamy and Hahn though, but he really belongs with Callie I think.

Finally, Callie was busted by the Chief for dumping her work on Bailey, and he finally made her Chief Resident and admitted he should have all along. She broke down in tears, something you don’t see from her often. I’m still waiting and hoping that they’ll also realize there was a mistake in scoring George’s exam last year and he did pass. I’m tired of George the intern.

And Now The Really Bad News!

And Now The Really Bad News!

Posted by Dustin on 11.08.2007 at 8:26 pm

Wow it’s not a good day! “24” only has 8 episodes for their new season filmed, and has had to shut down. Worse yet, the January premier has been put on hold because of the strike. There is talk “24” may not even air next year because of the strike.

Now for the even worse news, murmurings are coming out that “Lost” could also be suffering a same fate. If you recall, the decision was made to finish “Lost” in 3 shorter seasons (to drag the show out) rather than in 2 regular sized seasons.

Yikes!

“Grey’s Anatomy” has taped its final script this week and is shutting down. They will soon be joined by most other shows until the strike ends. The actors from Grey’s have however joined the writers out on the picket lines.

Heroes: Back To The Future!

Heroes: Back To The Future!

Posted by Dustin on 11.06.2007 at 6:57 pm

So let’s discuss this week’s episode of “Heroes,” which I thought was one of the better ones in a while. However I do have a few issues!

First up, Maury was coming for Bob this week. Parkman and Nathan jumped in to try and stop Bob from being killed. Bob wanted to use the virus to take away Maury’s power. He explained to Surresh that Maury and even Linderman were simply tools of one of their members named Adam Monroe. He was the true evil, he was using them as puppets. He said the company locked him up years ago and threw away the key, but he recently escaped. Surresh and Nikki attempted to stop Maury, but Maury used his mind tricks to make DL appear to Nikki. Nikki injected herself with the virus, thinking she was going crazy again! OF course Surresh soon learned there was no cure it seems, Nikki couldn’t be helped. It seems the virus is officially out now. Bob claimed Bennett’s daughter Claire could help save Nikki because of her healing power, bring her in and take Bennett out if he had to. Surresh was given a gun. Uh oh . . . . those paintings are coming true it seems! Surresh admitted to Bob he had been working with Bennett and no longer knew who to trust anymore, but he seems determined to do what he can to help Nikki and Molly with this virus.

Over in California, West was upset to learn Claire’s dad was HRG, the guy who took him awhile back for unknown purposes. Claire tried to explain, but he’s ignoring her texts. Meanwhile Noah is not happy to know Clair has a boyfriend and fears his death is near due to the paintings all coming true. He wants them to move, but Claire took a stand. They aren’t going to kill HRG are they? It’s looking that way unfortunately, and they’ve been hinting at a series regular being killed off. Poor HRG, it’s not looking good for him.

Hiro saved Japan from White Beard by blowing up all his guns, as well as Kensei, so it appears. He was then forced to say goodbye to his Princess and return to the present. Why didn’t he make the offer to bring her with him? I guess he had to leave her as she said she would make sure everyone knew the tales of the noble Kensei Takei, which turned out to be Hiro all along. Hiro returned home, and got the news from Ando that his dad is dead.

Finally Peter and Caitlin jumped to the future where they discovered the Shanti virus has killed almost 90% of the world. I figured it would be the virus the company had that did this! Peter and Caitlin were separated, and thanks to a meeting with Angela (guess we know she’s not going to die!), Peter got his memory back. She begged him to save them all and go back. Peter traveled back to the present, but without Caitlin. What! He better not leave her stuck there!

When Peter returned to Montreal, he met the elusive Adam Monroe, who left the note for Peter in the last episode and of course Bob is claiming is the true evil. It was none other than Kensei! Given he doesn’t look a day older, I think it’s safe to assume he is somehow either immortal or gained the time travel ability as well.

Now what I’m having some big issues with is we are once again looking at a “save the world/future” storyline. Didn’t we spend all last season going through this, only to have this season turn into a different version of the same exact idea? Can’t these heroes do something other than save the future? Looks like in order to save the future they once again have to make sure the cheerleader is safe, and you know Sylar will be coming for her again!
