Dirty Sexy Money: How Related Are We?

Dirty Sexy Money: How Related Are We?

Last week’s episode of “Dirty Sexy Money” mostly surrounded Karen Darlings failed attempt at a marriage to Freddy. She actually married him, but then when he said he really did love her, she got it annulled the same day! Karen told Nick it was always about him and kissed him. Opps! I’m thinking giving Letitia tried to cause trouble for Nick’s marriage to Lisa by telling her about the kiss, that we can count Karen out as Nick’s sister via the affair with Dutch.

Other stories going on this and last week, Brian fought for custody of Little Brian. His mother returned and decided she wanted to take him back to Brazil, but planned to make sure Brian supported him in the lifestyle he had become accustomed to. Seems like the mom planned on making a buck off the kid? They met with an arbitrator, and when it looked like Brian was about to lose, he bribed the arbitrator! Will it work? I don’t know.

Patrick’s wife found out about Carmelita, she refused to let the affair break them up or stop them from getting to the White House, saying she didn’t marry a Darling for nothing. So she too has her eyes on the prize, but seems to really love Patrick. They made arrangements to share Patrick, but a furious wife didn’t like when he came home to her after “talking” with the mistress. She shot him in the leg!

This week Tripp invited Simon Elder to a country house for Thanksgiving. Nick convinced him to go, that this wasn’t a trap. All hell broke lose! We learned a whole lot, but were still left with a lot of questions. It seems Simon Elder’s parents worked for Tripp’s parents, Simon’s mother was Tripp’s father’s mistress! Yeah can we see where this one is going? Simon’s family was deported to the USSR, Simon blames Tripp or his father for reporting them. Simon’s parents ended up killing in some kind of a concentration like camp, and Simon was left an orphan. He made something of himself and now is possibly back for revenge against Tripp? Not so fast! Tripp later told Nick it was actually Dutch who reported Simon’s parents, which would give Simone a reason to want Dutch dead. Simon later told Nick that the theories that Tripp killed his older brother to take over the Darling empire aren’t just crazy Internet conspiracy theories!

So, as it stands, it looks like both Tripp and Simon were capable of killing. I have a feeling Simon IS a Darling, that is why he wants revenge. Perhaps Dutch found this out? So I think Tripp could have knocked him off to keep him quiet. I mean if Tripp killed his brother to get the empire, he won’t want anyone else popping up to make a claim either. Then again, Simon could have done it for revenge. I’m so confused, but loving the show still.

  1. I have to agree with you- I love this show too! I also really enjoyed the story of Jeremy trying to be “poor” this week. Hysterical! Loved the interaction with his driver (Clark?).

  3. I hate to say this, but I am really loving Karen. I feel really bad about this, but I think I’d like to see her with Nick. I’m not a huge fan of the actress playing his wife. Or perhaps it’s the character.

    Karen is so funny!

  4. Does Patrick’s wife know that Carmilita is/was a man? I heard her make a comment about it but I wasn’t sure.

  5. Yes, she knows. When Patrick finally confessed, he mentioned that Camelita is a “she” that was a “he”.

I really hope this show survives the ‘break’, however long it lasts. I really like the characters, except for Nick’s wife. She’s totally driving him into the arms of the crazy family, and Karen. (Interesting… Kiki’s comment at the reception and how she will be part of the Darling lifestyle.)
