Heroes: Dead . . . . Then Not Dead!
Okay so once again, I have to re-watch last nights “Heroes.” But I paid attention enough to make the comments I want to. Lately I’ve been busting my butt trying to finish some school work I wanted to get turned in by Thanksgiving, but it looks like it won’t be in until next week. Anyway, onto “Heroes.”
Matt found himself with changing abilities this week. No longer can he just read minds, like his father he’s now beginning to be able to influence minds. He discovered this with Molly, and later put it to the test with Angela. He questioned her about the photo, wanting to know who that last remaining woman in the photo who they know is the only one left alive (aside from Angela, Adam and his father Maury). Angela knew his game and seemed to resist telling him if he took this secret he was as bad as his father! I think she definitely has some kind of mind control powers of her own as she knew just how to fight Matt off, but in the end it seems she coughed up the name. She also revealed Adam doesn’t just heal, he grows very old. It seems Claire is possibly destined to be immortal like Adam?
I have to say, I’m a bit peeved Matt didn’t get a back story last week filling us in what went on with him. I guess we are to assume that his ex-wife was knocked up with the partners kid, they got divorced and he moved to New York? It would be nice to understand how he, Mohinder and Noah all got involved in this plot to bring down “The Company.”
Hiro went back in time, far far back in time, and met up with his younger self at his mother’s funeral/grave. He also went back to see his father, intending on saving him from dying. In the end he didn’t, I guess realizing he cannot change the past without changing the future. He learned Kensei is the one who killed his father, which explains how he survived the fall to walk away. However at his father’s funeral Hiro made the odd announcement his father wasn’t dead . . . . he lived on in him. I’m wondering what is going on here. Is Kaito really dead? I think we could be in for another twist, especially since we know Kaito and Angela had a thing going on.
Most of the episode centered on Surresh, Noah, Claire and Wes. Noah told his wife about the paintings and how it looked like he was doomed to die. He had a talk with Wes, and they actually formed a friendship and partnership once Noah realized what was to happen. Surresh showed up, saying they needed Claire as her blood could save many. Noah wasn’t about to give her up. Surresh managed to kidnap Claire, while Noah got Elle. Hmmm, all too convenient? The plan was to basically trade the two, but that is when it all went wrong. Knowing the outcome, Noah had Wes fly Claire off to safety. Elle zapped them, but they survived the fall thanks to Claire. Crunch! Noah shot Elle, then was about to kill Bob and bring down the whole company when it happened . . . . Surresh shot him right in the eye!
The final scene was Noah, dead in the morgue . . .but then coming back to life! It appears he somehow got Claire’s blood to heal him, but how? Only Surresh knew that could possibly happen, though he did tell this to Noah. So did Noah give himself a transfusion to save himself . . . or was Surresh in it all from the beginning as well? Did Surresh shoot Noah after giving him Claire’s blood, knowing it would save him? That they could figure out what is really going on? I’m so confused! Also does this mean Noah now has the healing power?
So is any one else thinking that Adam could be nathans dad since claire has the healing ability and could possibly be immortal as well…just a theory but I am starting to think so! Any other idead?

It’s possible, but the children don’t necessarily inherit the same abilities as their parents (look at Michah). What is passed on is a genetic mutation to express a power according to the child’s own talents. Much like an artist may have a child who has a talent for dance, music or photography, but not art itself.

I’m sooooooo glad Noah isn’t really dead! I was so sad and upset when he got shot. I do think Noah and Surresh came up with a plan. I don’t think Surresh would have shot Noah otherwise.
If Adam and Claire aren’t related, I wonder if Adam will want Claire to be his wife since they are both immortal, possibly even kidnap her. It probably isn’t easy to live forever and see everyone you love die over and over again.
I don’t think that getting a little of Claire’s or Adam’s blood will give you the regeneration power forever. I think it just heals whatever is wrong right then. But I could be wrong, only time will tell.
I love how Matt’s powers are evolving. That opens up the possibility for all of the other heroes powers to evolve.

I think you get regeneration powers when you get Claire or Adam’s blood, but I think that opens the door for all of New York to get the virus.

I thought the virus doesn’t affect people with regeneration abilities. Isn’t that why they are after Claire’s blood, to cure Nikki of the virus? When Peter went to the future, they said Nathan was one of the first to die from the virus. If he had regeneration powers, he should have survived right?

So annoying irish girl we gonna see her again or with the shortened season is she a causality of the future?

I think that Sheereh and the Company guy (can’t remember his name) wanted everyone to think Noah was dead, and that when they picked his body up gave him Claires blood on the way back to the company building. I don’t think Noah knows anything…but then again, this show is full of twists!!!!!!

I still can’t fathom why Mohinder would stop HRG from shooting Bob.
Not only is he pretty awful in general, but he tortured his own kid to see what she’d become.
I doubt we would’ve missed him.
So, has this show picked up or does it just seem that way because we know we’re running out of episodes?
