So the drama in the second episode this season basically centered around what appeared to be a gas explosion in family kitchen, which took out many people in an apartment building. Later it was revealed a family was cooking and dealing meth, and as a result not only gravely injured many people, but got their son addicted in the process through breathing in the fumes.
Christina had to deal with the loss of Burke. She focused instead on getting rid of wedding gifts, but then Burke’s mama came looking for her, basically to get her big arse necklace back, but also helped Christina deal with the loss of Burke.
Meredith and Lexie had a little show down. Lexie “stalked” Meredith to get to know her, but Meredith basically told her flat out she didn’t want a relationship with her. Meredith said their father chose to leave her and basically be a family with Lexie, so she doesn’t want to know her. Correct me, but isn’t there also another sister out there? I wonder how long the issue between Meredith and Lexie will go on. I actually like Lexie, and it’s not her fault Meredith’s dad is an ass!
The drama between McDreamy and Meredith continued in this episode. McDreamy felt he had “a problem” with Meredith, basically she was an addiction he had to kick. Meredith admitted her daddy issues are at the heart of her relationship issues. However in the end, they wound up apparently hooking up again . . . even though they are still officially broken up.
Finally it still seems there is no end of the Callie/George/Izzy thing in sight. George wanted to have a talk with Callie, and she was convinced he was going to admit to an affair to her. She convinced him not to say anything for the night, as she had a bad day. I know most people hate George and Izzy, but I really like them. Now I like Callie too, I just don’t like her and George together. I actually like Mark and Callie’s interactions a lot to be honest, but Mark’s too much of a slut to settle down with Callie I think!
Dirty Sexy Money: Episode 2
Posted by Dustin on 10.04.2007 at 8:15 pm
So last night saw more twists and turns with my new favorite show “Dirty Sexy Money.”
It had appeared, when we last left off, that Brian Darling had bribed an airplane mechanic to tamper with Nicks’s dad’s plane. Of course this would be too easy and too quick of a resolution. The mechanic was actually blackmailing Brian because he knew about his affair and the kid he had. Nick forced Brian to step up and take care of the kid, whose mom fled to Brazil.
Nick later learned Tripp may have known about his dad and Lilly’s affair. Tripp became the next suspect in Nick’s mind, so following Lilly’s advice, he stole Tripp’s personal journal. However there was nothing in it about his dad’s death, aside from a mysterious drawing of a plane and scratched out text. Tripp noticed his journal was missing, and later Nick admitted he took it as he was looking for clues as to who killed his father. Tripp was hurt that Nick suspected him.
By the end of the episode, Nick talked with Tripp, who knew about the affair between his wife and Nick’s dad all along. Nick still hadn’t gotten into the briefcase from his dad’s plane. Tripp suggested the combo could by Lilly’s birthday, which it was. Inside were papers on some unknown con. Tripp suggested he start there in searching for his dad’s killer.
So now it seems like the Darlings didn’t kill Nick’s dad after all, but a con did. I’m not convinced honestly. At the end of the last episode Tripp had a talk with the mechanic, so who knows what was hid or covered up. Also I still have the feeling Nick’s dad could turn up alive, though I guess they did have a burial for him. I can’t remember if the remains were ever actually seen by anyone though.
Private Practice: Episode Two
Posted by Dustin on 10.03.2007 at 11:30 pm
So I have to be honest, I only half heatedly watched tonight’s episode as I had so much going on. The episode dealt with two stories, Taye Diggs’s character (I can never remember his name) and the receptionist kid were dealing with an elderly lady who was poisoning her son, but because he was an alcoholic and she couldn’t get him to stop drinking. Meanwhile Addison and Naomi were dealing with a baby switch at the hospital, one of the couples involved were patients of Naomi’s she impregnated using invitro.
Now I know it’s only the second episode, and I know I wasn’t paying really close attention, but I wasn’t too impressed. It seems like each episode in this serious is more of a standalone type episode, whereas with Grey’s there is some overall story that connects them and continues. Again it may only be because it’s the second episode.
Unfortunately Wednesday night is crowded, I’ve got “Bionic Woman,” “Private Practice,” “Dirty Sexy Money” and possibly “Pushing Daisies” (I Tivo’d this to watch). I’m starting to think “Private Practice,” which is up against “Bionic Woman,” is going to quickly end up on the “record and watch later when I have a chance” list.
Dancing With The Stars Eliminations
Posted by Dustin on 10.03.2007 at 12:36 pm
So the first two off “Dancing With The Stars” were the model/actors Josie Maran and then Albert Reed. Josie totally deserved to go home, she just wasn’t that great. Albert however was robbed. Of course he said in week one the problem was nobody knew him, it would be hard for him to get the votes.
Thus one of my biggest beefs with this show. While the final few contestants always end up being the most amazing dancers on the show, the road there is usually a bit flawed and aggravating. It’s more of a popularity contest on who stays and who goes. Case in point Wayne, who obviously has a big enough fan base to keep him on the show when he should have been the one to go home. There are a few others who should be in the bottom two instead of Albert this week as well.
I think next week might be Wayne’s week to go home, him or Mark Cuban probably.

So Surresh, in investigating the illness striking the Heroes, came upon The Haitian. The Haitian had the illness, and Surresh was able to save his life. The Haitian, upon finding out Surresh was working for “The Company,” seemingly erased his memory and fled. Of course it was all a set-up to fool “The Company,” as The Haitian arrived in California at Copy Kingdom to see Mr. Bennett as the episode ended. It looks like the old team is back together! Okay I do have to talk about something that is bothering me here. The Bennetts are supposed to be hiding out, not drawing attention to themselves. How in the world do they afford the huge house they live in when the dad works as a clerk at Copy Kingdom?
Claire meanwhile continued to draw the attention of her new boyfriend to be Wes. He wanted to give her a book he felt she’d be interested in reading about people evolving and developing powers of regeneration, but Claire brushed him off. She then found out her car, which she left unlocked, was stolen. This was seemingly just brushed off in this episode, but I have a feeling it will lead to something bigger down the road. Later Claire decided to test her powers and cut off her toe, which grew back. Ewwwwww! Unfortunately for her, Wes saw her and she saw him watching her. She tried to chase him down, not realizing he flew off. He left the book behind for her . . . it’s Surresh’s fathers book of course.
Poor Peter, stuck in Ireland with no idea who he is. Some Irish mobsters are holding him captive, they think he stole their shipment of ipods. The mobster’s sister is guarding Peter, and there seems to be a love interest developing between them. She also realized he has the ability to heal really really fast. Peter later saved the mobster leader’s sister from being attacked by a rival gang. He discovered at this point he has a lot of different powers. The mobster though wasn’t too pleased, as now there is some blood feud started between two families over this. He has to pay up, and wants Peter to help them do a job. In exchange, he’s going to give Peter his identity back! Seems they took his wallet and everything on him when they found him and know who he is. Now I’m assuming somewhere later down the road, Peter’s situation and story will connect back up with the others. As of now, I just can’t figure out what the heck is going on with him.
Angela Petreli was brought in for questioning about Koto’s death last week, and realized Matt was reading her mind. Later she was mysteriously attacked by an invisible enemy. She lived, and revealed to Matt that she, like Koto, was being targeted. We did learn years ago the group of them did something terrible and this is why they are being killed, for revenge.
Maya and Alejandro continued to try and make their way to America to find a doctor to heal Maya. A fortune teller on the way told Maya whatever was inside of her was so black that it could kill the devil, and she was evil. A woman agreed to help them try and make it across the border, but when Maya and her brother were separated when the border patrol showed up . . . . bad things happen! It seems Maya’s powers kick in when she’s separated from her brother. He eyes turn black, she cries black tears and sucks the life out of anyone near her. Later Alejandro reconnected with her . . . . and we learn he has powers too! Somehow he’s able to absorb the blackness Maya puts out and reverse the deaths she causes! It’s pretty clear they are going to end up meeting with Surresh for help at some point this season.
Back in the past, as everyone guessed, Hiro took Kensei’s samurai armor and ran off to save the blacksmith’s daughter from the bandits. He let everyone believe he was Kensei, to try and fix the wrongs he created by coming into the past. However later the bandits returned and filled the real Kensei with arrows! Hiro thought he was dead . . . until Kensei healed himself! Yup, he just discovered he has powers. It seems Kensei is the beginning of the Heroes, given his symbol later became the symbol for “The Company,” and is now the symbol being stamped on Koto and Angela’s pictures as a sign their death is coming. I still think somehow Kensei will travel to the future and has far more to do with “The Company” then we think. That or he has a descendant who will of course look just like him.
Next week marks the return of Nikki and Mica (DL looks dead dead dead) . . . . as well as Sylar who seems to have amnesia as well?

Brothers and Sisters Premier
Posted by Dustin on 10.01.2007 at 5:28 pm
Last night marked the return of my favorite new show from last season, “Brothers and Sisters.” Let’s talk about what happened!
Last season the first episode surrounded Kitty’s birthday and William’s death, so naturally this seasons premier marked Kitty’s birthday and the one year anniversary of William’s death.
Nora has been living with Rebbecca still. Kitty’s been on the campaign trail with Robert, Kevin has been busy with Jason, Sarah’s been busy with her kids and is still separated from Joe, Tommy’s been busy with his new daughter and wife Julia who has been depressed since William’s death and Saul has been busy staying in the closet.
Kitty returned home for her birthday, and to go dress shopping for her wedding. However Nora was upset that Kitty and Robert keep talking about Justin serving in Iraq in all their interviews. Kitty says they are questioned about it, they don’t bring it up. Nora is also upset Kitty won’t get Robert to find out if Justin is okay, they haven’t heard from him in weeks. Kitty won’t use Robert that way, but the truth is she’s asked and he won’t bend the rules, even for her.
Kevin and Jason’s happy little relationship hit a snag when Jason has been ordered by the Bishop of his church to go to Malaysia to help build a school, and he might be gone for up to a year. This story was written in as the actor (Eric Winter) has a new show on CBS airing later this month. Kevin ultimately has decided to wait for Jason, so I’m wondering if they plan to bring Jason back should the other show tank?
Sarah and Joe had a little sex in the afternoon, and she was later hopeful that they could work things out. When she asked him to come back home, he said no . . . he wants the divorce! Sleazeball! Why do I suspect he has already moved on and found someone new? I loath Joe even more now!
Rebbecca decided to throw Kitty a birthday party, which Kitty didn’t appreciate. At the party all the tensions going on in the family came to a head, and Rebbecca and Kitty had it out. Rebbecca was sick of trying to make things between her and Kitty work when Kitty was always a bitch to her for no reason at all. Kitty eventually apologized, and it looks like they are going to try and work at building a relationship. The last Walker has finally seemingly accepted Rebbecca into the family.
Robert surprised Kitty and Nora with the news that Justin was on a mission and is fine, and is headed back to the base. However later he got news on the way they hit enemy fire, there were casualties! The episode came to an end with nobody knowing if Justin is alive, which of course we know he is.
All in all, a great episode all around. I’m peeved Jason is leaving Kevin, and it looks like we have a long wait to see what happens there. Joe leaving Sarah has me livid as well, I just want to punch that guy out! It looks like this season Tommy is going to get more of a storyline with the problems with Julia at home, so I’m looking forward to that. Then there is Uncle Saul, I can’t wait till his secret comes out so to speak!
Desperate Housewives Premier: The Housewives Are Back In Form!
Posted by Dustin on 10.01.2007 at 11:36 am
Okay, let’s just talk about how amazing last nights DH was. That premier was so good, and it looks like the housewives are finally back into season 1 form.
First up, Edie didn’t kill herself after all. She didn’t even mean to, it was a trick to get Carlos to stay with her, but Mrs. McClausky got in the way! Love her! Anyway, Edie was shipped off to a suicide clinic and later returned, determined to use the event to hang onto Carlos. Carlos is still having his affair with Gabriel, but Edie isn’t going to give him up. It seems she’s found he has a 10 million dollar account in the Cayman Islands! I was really liking Edie last season, now I am afraid I’m going to be back to despising her.
Bree is still trying to pull off her baby scam. It was revealed it is less about protecting their family’s reputation and more about having another chance to raise a kid that won’t turn out to be a snot like the two she has. Why don’t she and Orson just have their own? Oh well, they were almost busted twice in this episode, once by an old lady who wanted to touch the baby and another when she got a barbecue fork stuck in her pillow baby and a neighborhood party!
Lynette revealed finally to everyone that she has cancer. She was trying to hide it, but couldn’t anymore as she was tired and couldn’t keep up with all the PTA functions a “Super Mom” was throwing her way. The women promised not to keep secrets from each other, but Bree wouldn’t confess her secret.
Susan got news she might be starting early menopause, but as it turns out the signs were messed up . . . she and Mike are pregnant! Not sure how I feel about this turn of events yet.
Finally the new neighbors Katherine, her husband Adam and her daughter Dylan moved into the neighborhood. Loving them already! Katherine lived on the street years ago when Susan and Mary Alice lived there, the others hadn’t moved in yet. Katherine looks to give Bree a run for her money in the “perfect on the outside, so many secrets on the inside” department. Katherine had a different husband back when she lived on the lane, we don’t know what happened to him. Dylan and Julie were the best of friends, almost like sisters. Something happened and one night they just took off. Now Katherine is back with a new husband. Her aunt who lives in the neighborhood isn’t doing so well, they returned to take care of her. Julie learned Dylan basically has no memory of her or Wisteria Lane at all. In fact the earliest memory she has is of a man in her room. When it was suggested by an old baby sister she seek therapy for this, Katherine flipped and refused. As the show ended, Katherine and Adam were in “the room” where “it” happened. Dylan wanted to move back into the room, but Katherine won’t let her and is keeping it locked.
So . . . . . what do we think happened? Was she molested by her father? Did they kill the old husband? I think that is just too easy. At first I honestly thought maybe Dylan wasn’t Dylan, that Dylan died and they kidnapped someone to pass off as Dylan. That doesn’t seem the case though as Katherine and Adam talked about how Dylan doesn’t remember what happened in the room. I think I’m going to love this mystery and season of DH!
