Dancing With The Stars Eliminations

Dancing With The Stars Eliminations

So the first two off “Dancing With The Stars” were the model/actors Josie Maran and then Albert Reed. Josie totally deserved to go home, she just wasn’t that great. Albert however was robbed. Of course he said in week one the problem was nobody knew him, it would be hard for him to get the votes.

Thus one of my biggest beefs with this show. While the final few contestants always end up being the most amazing dancers on the show, the road there is usually a bit flawed and aggravating. It’s more of a popularity contest on who stays and who goes. Case in point Wayne, who obviously has a big enough fan base to keep him on the show when he should have been the one to go home. There are a few others who should be in the bottom two instead of Albert this week as well.

I think next week might be Wayne’s week to go home, him or Mark Cuban probably.

  1. I was disappointed that Albert Reed was eliminated. I didn’t know him before DWTS, but I do think he had potential to go pretty far. You are right, Dustin. It seems to be a popularity contest; however, Wayne Newton is popular and he was in the botton 2 this week. Every year I usually have at least one favorite. I don’t really have one this year.

  2. your right the this is a popularity contest. Knowing that i still can’t help but feed into it. i am hoping the next one to go is marc cuban. not because of his dancin, but because i can’t stand the guy due to some comments he made a while back.

  3. I also agree that it is a popularity contest. However there is something else that annoys me. Sometimes I think it’s rather unfair that there are people on the show who have a lot of experience dancing. For example, that Cheetah girl and Scary Spice. I understand that they aren’t trained in ballroom. But they do have a lot of experience learning choreographed dances and performing those dances in front of large audiences. Don’t get me wrong, I love to see a variety of celebs on the show but being that some celebs have a lot more experience with dancing makes it harder for the others to last longer and make progress. I’d hate to see an experienced dancer win at the end. I would love to see an underdog win who had to learn it all during the series. I guess we’ll see.

  4. I felt the same way about previous contestants as you mentioned “Jenny”-all the boy band guys that just excelled left me thinking hey don’t they kinda have a step up in the competition with dancing? Generally I do think popularity gets in the way of talent on this show which is why I tune in and out. Not sure if anyone watches Celeb Rap Superstar- but COME ON, tone deaf Kendra is still in it?! She messes up every time but has that Playboy following. Viewer voting can be frustrating lol.

  5. I was so happy when Albert left. He was a horrible dancer. Wayne might be a bad dancer now, but once he gets good, he’s going to rock it. Plus Wayne was in the bottom two don’t forget that. I hate Mark Cuban though, he should be elimiated.
